Chapter 4 A Spur of the Moment?

"Sir, would you like to try our newest cocktail? It exceptionally good liquor," Felicia said with a smile, her lips forming a captivating and enchanting dimple.

This was the part-time job that Frederick had introduced her to – a cocktail waitress.

"If you want us to order any drinks, you'll have to impress us with your selection,"

"We come to the bar not just to drink, you see, alcohol is sold everywhere, isn't it?"

This table was almost entirely occupied by male customers, each one looking at Felicia with ill intentions, surveying her from head to toe as if assessing merchandise.

They poured ten glasses of a foreign liquor for Felicia, saying, "Here, if you can handle a few glasses, we'll order a few bottles for you."

"I'm sorry, my tolerance for alcohol is not good."

Last night, Felicia had a few drinks and ended up hooking up with Frederick in a daze.

She did not want to make the same mistake again, so she turned to leave.

However, the male customers were unwilling to let her go, saying, "If you don't drink and have fun with us today, you won't be allowed to go anywhere."

Their main purpose for coming to this kind of place was not just drinking, but also hunting for beautiful women.

Now that they had a rare beauty like Felicia approaching them, how could they let her go?

Just as they were starting to take advantage of Felicia, a cold and stern male voice came, "What are you doing?"

Everyone turned to look in the direction of the voice, only to see a tall man whose dark eyes seemed like an ageless iceberg in the interplay of light and shadow.

"Frederick!"

Almost everyone who came to this place for entertainment were second-generation rich kids from the New Port circle.

They know who Frederick Blevins was.

After all, as the first lesson of inheriting the family business, their parents had worked hard to convince them to get to know and curry favor with Frederick Blevins. Naturally, they had seen many photos of Frederick.

But when this person actually appeared in front of them, they only felt an overwhelming sense of intimidation. Even speaking became a bit cumbersome.

After Felicia realized that it was Frederick, she was momentarily stunned.

She felt that this man's figure seemed even taller and more godlike in this moment.

In fact, she had never thought that after Frederick introduced her to part-time work, she would have any further interaction with him.

"She was promoting the newest alcoholic beverages and seducing us. We just wanted to teach her a lesson and show her the rules of promoting alcohol here."

The second-generation rich kids tried to justify themselves calmly.

In front of Frederick, they didn't dare to do anything excessive and even let go of the salty hands they had previously placed on Felicia.

Frederick Blevins looked indifferently at the few people, saying, "It's not up to you to establish the rules here."

His tone sounded casual, but his inherent disdain and powerful aura made everyone present suddenly remember that Trendy Bar was also the property of the He family.

"Frederick, we're sorry. We crossed the line."

"Sir, please forgive us this time. We apologize sincerely," the group quickly pleaded. However, Frederick didn't pay attention to them and quietly instructed the bar manager, who had come over after hearing the news, "Throw these people out! Disgraceful behavior! They are not welcome in any of the bars or restaurants owned by the He family in the future."

Although it seemed like a casual order, several rich second-generation individuals almost kneeled down. The top leisure and entertainment locations in New Port were mostly owned by the He family. If they were to be excluded, from this point on, how could they maintain their image in the circle of rich second-generation individuals in New Port? How would they maintain their social connections?

They constantly apologized and begged for mercy, hoping that Frederick would show them some leniency. Unfortunately, he ignored them, and the manager immediately had them thrown out.

As soon as they were cleared out, Frederick didn't even spare a glance at Felicia and went straight back to his previous position. Felicia caught up with him, and saw that Royce Howell was happily sizing her up at his table.

"Thank you for what happened just now," Felicia said to Frederick, and then nodded slightly towards Royce who was next to him. Her demeanor was graceful and dignified, befitting a well-bred young lady.

Royce smiled and nodded in return, his mind filled with expletives. Her affectionate eyes made her look incredibly charming. He suddenly understood why Frederick disregarded his relationship with Darrin and became the first to pick this flower.

Frederick ignored Felicia, but she noticed that his right hand, which held a glass, had an injury, and blood was dripping onto the table.

"You're injured? Let me help you take care of it," she offered. Although she didn't know how Frederick had gotten injured, he had helped her just now. Besides, her sense of duty as a doctor wouldn't allow her to ignore the wound.

Royce glanced at the still silent man and recalled the scene where Frederick crushed the glass with one hand when he saw Felicia being dragged away by those individuals, to be forced to drink. He couldn't help but feel that this person's feelings towards Felicia were not as simple as a passing infatuation.

Royce wanted to get to know Felicia, and he tried several times to start up a conversation. However, Felicia was completely focused on tending to Frederick’s wound, blocking out everything around her. Frederick didn't pay attention to Felicia, but he also didn't resist her when she cleaned his wound.
