Unveiling the Secrets

Roderick was in the garden, pacing back and forth in fury. He couldn't understand how his nephew Cedric could dare to challenge his authority. Perhaps because Cedric was the heir and had inherited the alpha traits that ran in his blood. As he snorted in his lupine state, Roderick heard an urgent voice calling him.

“Your Majesty, they need you in the throne room,” Konrad said, bowing in reverence.

Roderick shot a dim glare at Konrad, his face twisted in anger. The poor man cowered even more under his gaze. “Who does this kid think he is, defying me like this? I am the KING!” he bellowed.

Despite his fury, Roderick couldn't shake the discomfort that had been gnawing at him since Cedric had challenged him. He knew his nephew was a force to be reckoned with, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of fear and suspicion for the young man's audacity. But he quickly dismissed those thoughts. Cedric was a threat to his power, but how could he rebel against him if he was blind and, on top of that, lame?

Roderick's mind was a turbulent sea of conflicting emotions as he made his way to the throne room, his loyal servant draping a cloak over his nakedness. Yes, anger burned within him, but it was tempered by fear, uncertainty, and a deep sense of discomfort. Was he truly fit to rule as the alpha of his pack? Was Cedric destined to replace him as the true alpha? These questions weighed on his mind, and he couldn't help but wonder if his reign was coming to an end. He couldn't shake the feeling that his nephew might be behind the attack that had led to the massacre in the castle the previous night, which had claimed the lives of several of his loyal subjects who had come to join forces with him.

As he entered the throne room, Roderick was met with the expectant gazes of his counselors and advisors. He took a deep breath, preparing himself for whatever lay ahead. He wouldn't let Cedric or anyone else challenge his authority. He was the king and would rule with an iron fist.

“What do you want? Haven't I made it clear that I won't tolerate interruptions today?” Roderick growled, his voice laced with anger.

Leopoldo swallowed hard, clearly intimidated. “Your Majesty, we must take action. Everyone is afraid and uncertain,” he said, his voice trembling.

Roderick fixed Leopoldo with a steely gaze, maintaining his silence for a few tense seconds. Finally, he spoke, his words dripping with anger. “So, you're saying that I am weak?” His yellow eyes glowed with fury as he spoke.

Leopoldo stammered, taking a step back and looking at his feet. “No, Your Majesty, I didn't mean that, I just...” he began, but was cut off by the sound of fabric ripping as Roderick transformed into his full, bestial form. The alpha's massive paws tightened around Leopoldo's neck, lifting him off the ground and squeezing tightly.

Leopoldo fought, trying in vain to transform himself, but the sheer force of Roderick's power left him gasping for air and on the verge of fainting. Finally, he fell unconscious into the clutches of the alpha. Roderick threw him into the corner of the throne room like a ragdoll, offending the rest of his advisors and counselors with a fierce and unrestrained rage. It was clear that Roderick would stop at nothing to maintain his iron grip on power, even if it meant crushing anyone who dared to challenge him.

“Easy, Majesty. That wasn't our intention. We would never think of you as weak,” said Konrad, Roderick's trusted friend and advisor calmly.

Roderick continued to glare, his chest rising and falling as he looked at each council member in turn, searching for any hint of hesitation. “You don't think I'm investigating this matter?” His deep voice boomed, causing the others to cower in fear.

“We know you are, Your Majesty, but you must understand that it was a great betrayal to attack the castle where you reside,” said one of his advisors.

Roderick circled around one of his advisors, assessing the situation. “And who do you think would have the audacity to defy me?” he questioned.

The room fell silent as the advisors exchanged uneasy glances. They all knew that Roderick's reign had been marked by a series of massacres within the pack, as well as rival packs seeking to overthrow him. But no one dared to speak the name that was on everyone's mind: Cedric.

Finally, one of the advisors cleared their throat nervously. “Majesty, we cannot say for certain who was behind the attack, but we know it was a well-planned and well-executed operation. Clearly, whoever did this has significant resources and should not be underestimated.”

Roderick grunted, his mind racing as he considered their words. He knew he had to be careful, that he couldn't afford to make mistakes. He was the alpha and had to be strong, unwavering, and unyielding in the face of adversity. But deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling that his reign was on the brink of collapse, that his control over power was slipping away.

In his room, Cedric looked out the window at the stormy night sky. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and lightning illuminated the darkness. The dark clouds seemed to mirror the darkness that had fallen upon his life since his parents had been ambushed and killed. The kingdom had been a place of peace and prosperity before his uncle Roderick took the throne, citing Cedric's supposed inability to rule. But since then, things had gone from bad to worse. The werewolves had become pawns in Roderick's power game, the people were robbed and massacred, and even other alphas had bowed down to the great alpha king. His reign had been one of destruction and chaos.

Cedric clenched his fists, feeling anger and frustration boiling inside him. He knew he should be the true alpha, the one who would rule with compassion and justice, bringing peace and prosperity back to the kingdom. But his uncle had stolen that from him, using lies and deceit to turn the pack against him and reign in his place.

As he watched the storm spread outside, Cedric made a vow to himself. He would not rest until he had taken back what was rightfully his, until he had overthrown Roderick and restored order to the kingdom.

With a determined look on his face, Cedric stepped away from the window and began to plan his next move.
