Chapter 1

May 10th

Creek Hill Bentley.

A spacious room lavished with quality materials of choices could be spotted. The room is sprayed with pictures of a lady singing. Posters are all-around only one face could be spotted; that of Olivia Harmony, the best pop singer in the world.

"Call my name and I'll reach out to you," Is the famous slogan she uses.

The room is painted with blue gel while stickers of Olivia rest in every corner of the room. At the right-hand corner of the room, there is a table lavished with magazines__they all carried the beautiful pop singer's face and name on their home page.

Under the table, a small white paper containing the day's schedule rested below it as it had no hope that anyone might find it.

At the other end of the room was a large window with the curtains drawn closed hiding the light from entering the room.

At the center of the large room stood a queen's bed, enormous and unfortunately rumpled. On it laid a lady who had wrapped her head up in white sheets and her snores could be heard all across the street of Bentley.

The cool weather is welcoming and so is the mold to draw her life sleep too, she enjoyed herself as she moaned peacefully. Her dream since she was two years old was to become a pop singer, and when she started singing at five, no one could stop her shine.

Her pride has been her which she carries on her back everything she goes on stage.

At twenty-five, Olivia Harmony had slammed the door on men's faces who had proposed to her. She vehemently believed that remaining single will give her more liberty to enjoy her free life.

"I am only twenty-five, I'll settle down when I turn ninety. If you are ready to wait for such a short time then I might accept your proposal to be your wife,"

Was the framed-up reply she came up with to reject the several men who came banging at her door for marriage.

Although Olivia was only twenty-five years, she lived her life as a free bird having no cage to bind her unless she had a manager who was not just like her and censored her movements.

"Artists don't move around freely especially not from place to place, you will give people reasons to talk about you,"  were the words he always spat at her face.

They have known each other for fifteen years, and their bond was now like a father-and-daughter relationship with him being supportive all the way.

Olivia was asleep when a buzzing sound came to her ear and made her stir awake.

"Who the hell is calling at this time?" she murmured as she hit her hand on the bed searching for her phone.

The vibration kept coming until she had to grab it and switch it to the right without even checking on the caller ID.

Olivia owned an iPhone nine and the dingy gel on her phone was her favorite color__baby blue. As she pressed the phone to her ears, her eyes were still locked as she feared that light might enter her eyes causing the sleep in her eyes to evaporate.

"Who do I owe my life to?" she asked.

This was her normal tagline especially when she popped the phone to her ears.

"Don't tell me you are still sleeping, oh my God, you have a dream Olivia and you have to live it," came in Mr. Jordan Miller's voice.

He is Olivia's music manager and his duty was to make a schedule for the busy pop singer who had already succeeded to keep climbing the ladder to success. To him, every day's success is not enough but a lifetime victory whereby your name will remain on the lips of every generation is a good plan.

So far, she is known in some parts of the world, and she kept receiving love from people in different countries that she didn't know even existed.

"Geography wasn't my best subject in secondary school, so you can't blame me for not knowing that country or town," she will say chuckling.

It was her good sense of humor that made her a lively and enjoyable person that everyone would love to be around.

Focusing on the caller, she pulled her blanket say from her head revealing her rumpled hair. Her heavy lock of chestnut was on her face and some even threatened to enter her mouth.

Gathering them, she scooped her heavy hair behind. Her eyes are now open as she claimed she was fully awake.

"I am awake, Jordan, you know the concert yesterday was so tiring, I am happy it has come to an end," she murmured.

The concert last night was a dream concert and she gave her best. She knew it would take her a long time to recover from that stress and now, her phone is ringing once more after only about three hours of sleep.

Olivia Harmony is originally from Graceland but has lived most of her years in Bentley especially when Jordan relocated here. They had come here for her to chase her dream. So far, she could call this place her home, and the life she was building was fair enough for her to be happy.

The people of Creekhill had begged her to organize a concert for them, they wanted to have fun in their town, but when she had accepted, she was surprised by the number of people who had attended. They tripled the actual number of the entire population put together.

It was a pity that she didn't care about her local community who supported her so much. She did most of her concerts in different cities and countries and yet, didn't bother to sing for people in her hometown.

After the concert, she made a small promise to sing for them now and then.

Jordan's voice cut through her phone making her be startled.

"The concert was tiring for us all, but we have to talk right now," he said.

The tone of his voice was damn serious that Olivia knew he had something to share with her.
