CHAPTER TWO
It was already noon, I had gone to the garden to just relax and think about everything that had happened.
So Thiago was my mate, I couldn't believe it. I was really excited.
I decided to go back to back to the pack house. As I hurred to the pack house, I bumped into someone. It was Thiago Osvaldo, my mate.
"You!!" He said spitefully.
"Uhh! Again? Why does he always address me as 'you' I have a name" I thought.
" Why am I so unfortunate to have you as a mate?" He asked as my eyes widened.
"Thiago". His name came out of my mouth for the first time. It seemed to draw his attention. He stopped and turned to me. “You better shut up, this is Alpha Thiago. He talked to me like I was a whore. I was his goddamn mate for crying out loud. I was so angry but I kept calm and was as calm as the sea. I ignored him. “Why do you say such hurtful things? We're soul mates, so you don't have to say anything to hurt me."
His green eyes hardened and his soft strawberry lips curled in pleasure. Thiago moved closer to me. "I could feel the mate connection between us.
Doesn't he feel it too?
My question was immediately followed by his firm reply. "Nothing you mean nothing to me, Odette Orson. I received a sharp blow to the heart. My eyes were wide and full of questions, anger and pain.
I opened my mouth to say something but a voice cut us off. "Thiago," said the voice as I tore my hair in the direction it was coming from. It came from a girl my age. She was a beautiful woman with long blond hair.
She moved with a kind of grace and pride that suited her. Who was she? She came up to us and stood next to Thiago and hugged him. Her eyes were fixed on me. She looked really calm and gentle but the fire of anger in her eyes burned and quickly died.
Her pale smile reappeared and she turned to Thiago. - Thiago? The way she called his name made my stomach clench with jealousy. "Who is he? She pointed at me and asked him. It made my stomach churn. Thiago's gaze shifted from the woman to me. That's exactly what I should be asking.
Thiago put his arm around her waist." problem this morning." small problem? Was he thinking of me? problem? “Ah, I understand. she said in a humble tone. I was too quick to judge her and she was never calm and gentle. There was something deceptive about her.
“I'm Odette Orson, his soulmate. And who are you?" I asked, my eyes widening. "Watch your words. Bridget is your superior and my chosen Luna of this pack when I become Alpha, She is to be respected." His words hurt me. If he had someone else, did he try to reject me? His words seemed to please Bridget. She leaned on his arm and kissed him on the lips right in front of me, his rightful mate.
I could not take this insult. "Basically you're saying this 'thing' is your whore..?" I said disgustedly. Bridget didn't like what I said and started crying. Thiago fixed his eyes on me when he saw her tears. His clear crystal blue eyes darkened with anger and hatred. I felt my heart tighten with fear. “I clearly warned you to watch your words! Bridget is taller than you so when I become Alpha she should be respected in my pack as another Luna in this pack. You will be punished for your actions because you have shown stubbornness!” I was confused.
I had no idea what he was talking about. Unbeknownst to me, I was surrounded by a group of the pack warriors.
"Take her to the dungeon!" His murderous look made my heart stop and I had no idea what was going on.
I was shaking a lot. My face was marked with fear and confusion. As I looked around at the pack warriors around me, my frightened eyes met those of my partner.
His hard expression weakened me. I was dragged down a hallway in the pack house and thrown into a dark dungeon where the iron door closed behind me. I fell to the hard cold floor and was enveloped in darkness. Frozen in place at that moment, I still couldn't get past my mate's cold gaze. His hatred and anger towards me could not be hidden.
I didn't know that tears were welling up in my eyes and then they would fall out of my eyes on their own. He hated me! My own mate hates me! I put my hands on my face and sobbed loudly. The last time I felt this pain and tears in my eyes was when I was only six years old and I was so tortured for stealing from the pack's kitchen. I was tortured much worse, but it didn't hurt that much. I sobbed in the dark, huddled against the cold wall.
I had no idea when I fell asleep in the dark. I was awakened by the deafening silence that reverberated through the walls. I had no way of knowing how long I had been here. It was cold and everything I sat on made me sick. The floor was hard and damp. The cold air that surrounded me made me shiver. All I could do was wait a long time in the dark.
At the same time, the large iron door creaked loudly and a very strong light illuminated the place. I had to raise my hand to shield my eyes from the light and as I adjusted to the environment I raised my head to see Thiago. His breath and throat hitched.
As I raised my legs, his tall, imposing figure approached me. It was so high that I had to force my eyes up. He showered me with flashes of pure emotion that I perceived as hatred and revulsion. I fought the urge to cry and grabbed the silk of my dress. “
Let's get one thing straight. There is only one woman in my life, and that is Bridget, and there is no other.” His voice was sharper than the bitter winter wind, sharper than any knife in my heart.
"You didn't give me anything. It doesn't make sense, Odette Orson. Absolutely nothing! In fact, the Moon Goddess made a big mistake in making you my mate!!"
He said each word echoing through the walls of my head and killing me.
"As the next alpha, there are certain rules to run the pack. Everyone, including you, must follow them . I can't stand it. His voice was very deep and even with slight accents.
He could hear it all day, even though it sounded mercilessly cold. I didn't trust my own voice to not betray me. Instead, I listened to him like an obedient little lamb. "You have two options, Odette," he said slowly.
