CHAPTER TWO

Elizabeth

I decide to go back to Mr. Thomas' room to see if I can find that black folder. I start looking everywhere, but I can't find it.

Is that black folder really here? Because I have yet to find it.

"I wonder where it is?" I spoke to myself and started looking around the room.

"Where's what, Elizabeth?"

Is today a "scare me" day or something?

I turn around, looking down.

"I was looking for a black folder for Mr. Christopher," I say quietly.

"Don't worry about it, little one. I just gave it to him." He says softly.

"Ah, then forgive me for going through your brother's things, Mr. Alex," I said nervously. After all, I don't want to be punished for it.

"I have nothing to forgive you for, darling. You did what you thought was right, so I don't blame you. I'm sure my brother won't mind either.

"OK, I am sorry." I bite my lip at this, he said it was okay, and here I am, apologizing again.

I hear him laugh, and I feel very embarrassed. What a situation! I don't know where to run or if I should run, so I feel him walking towards me, stopping his steps in front of me.

"It's all right, my beauty. "

He runs his hand through my hair,"Only you can calm us down."

I didn't understand.

"How can I calm you down, sir?" I ask, feeling very curious.

"Don't worry, my beauty. Soon, soon, you will know. You can go now." He takes his hand out of my hair, giving me space.

"Yes, sir. Excuse me." I go to the door and let out a long sigh as I leave the room.

Mr. Alex's presence is so disconcerting... All of them make me uncomfortable. I may not see them, but I feel their gazes on me as if they were going to eat me at any moment or something.

Shaking my head, I go to Mr. Lorenzo's room. I start cleaning everything and suddenly, someone comes out of the bathroom. I quickly focus my eyes on the floor.

"I didn't know you were already in your room. I'm sorry about that, Mr. Lorenzo.

"No need to worry, Eliza. I just came to shower before returning to work with my brothers."

"Alright, I'll let you change your clothes. Excuse me." I leave his room with my heart beating a thousand times.

Damn, I still haven't finished cleaning this room!

"Damn, I forgot the laundry basket in Mr. Thomas's room!" I complain. It's a lot of work for one person.

I go back to Mr. Thomas's room and, as a precaution, I knock twice on the door without hearing anything. I open the door hesitantly, look inside, check the space, and go to the laundry basket I left beside the bed. Glad it went right!

I figure I can take two laundry baskets downstairs, so I opt now to go into Mr. Dylan's room, and when I knock on the door, I'm surprised to hear a "come in."

I open the door, always looking down.

"Good day, sir." I speak politely.

"Good morning, Eliza. A little question: are you using a new perfume? "he asks, and I'm surprised by it."

"Ah... yes... sir." I need help understanding the reason for this question.

"It smells so good, it suits you."

I swallow hard.

"Th-thank you, sir." I say with shame, I feel my face heat up.

"You can get the laundry basket and then come back and tidy this room."

"Yes, sir.

I walk lightly to the bathroom and pick up their dirty clothes before returning to the bedroom, I always look anywhere but at them.

"I'll be right back to tidy up your room, my lord.

"All good.

"Excuse me." I leave the room, heading towards the stairs.

I need to put these clothes in the machine, and when I go into the laundry room, I take out Mr. Thomas's clothes – which are already dry – and put them in a large bucket to hang up later. I grab Mr. Dylan and Mr. Alex's clothes and throw them in the washing machine, not bothering to sort them. My routine has been the same since I got here, so I don't even worry; I know everyone's favorite styles and colors, although most pieces are similar.

So I hung up Mr. Thomas's clothes on the clothesline. The laundry room is huge, really big; it's like a room, and if I wanted, I could live here. When I'm done with the clothes, I set the bucket over the sink and stop in the kitchen for a glass of water.

I ignore the snakes, as usual, and go to the fridge, opening it and getting a pitcher of water. Later, I take a glass, fill it, and take several sips, refreshing myself.

"The slut must be showing off just because the bosses are paying attention to her," Victoria says, taking me out of my thoughts.

These snakes won't leave me alone? Holy cow!

"Yes, she must think she is the queen," Valerie agrees.

"Hey, Eliza, did you have a lot of sex with the bosses? That's why you're so thirsty." Victoria asks, laughing.

It makes me roll my eyes.

"Get lost, Victoria," I reply impatiently, putting the pitcher back in the fridge. "And if I'm having sex with them, it's not your problem, you miserable snakes. It's my life, and I can do what I want with it, so I suggest you take care of your useless lives, and I'll take care of mine, okay?

I leave the kitchen, very irritated by this. Those annoying girls only know how to think about it because the bosses treat me right.

However, that doesn't mean I'm having sex with them. If I was, what's the problem? I am a free woman who can have sex with whoever I want.

"Eliza." I turn around, still angry, and my blood runs cold as I look into Mr. Dylan's eyes. "You looked at me. "He says seriously.

"M-my lord. Please do not kill me. Please." I beg, my voice strangled, and look at the floor.

He laughs, and it scares me. His laugh is growing, and it's a little scary

"I would never kill you, little one. I'm just going to do something to you for disobeying us.

I gulp at this. What will he do to me?
