Chapter 06 The Reason for Divorce is His Obstruction

Winona didn't see anything wrong in Zachary's words. She was still angry at his indifference, so she snorted unkindly and muttered, "Hmm."

Zachary took a sip of the soup but put the bowl down a bit forcefully, causing a loud thud.

He lifted the covers and lay down, while Winona turned over, facing away from him. She switched off her bedside lamp and closed her eyes, ready to sleep.

Over the years, they occasionally shared a bed, but there was always enough space for at least two more people between them.

However, tonight was a bit different...

While she was sleeping peacefully, Zachary's body suddenly pressed against her, almost enveloping her in his embrace. Her back was against his firm chest, and through the thin layers of fabric, she could clearly feel the texture of his muscles.

His heavy and husky breath lingered close to her ear, raising the room's temperature to a scorching level.

Before Winona could react, something pressed against her lower back, using her mind to freeze as she instantly grasped the situation.

"Zachary..."

Her voice trembled involuntarily, a mix of sudden fright and nervousness, fearing that Zachary might force himself on her.

She had anticipated scenes like this during the early days of their marriage, but years of his indifference had worn her down to ashes. Now that they were getting a divorce, she couldn't afford to have this kind of entanglement.

Some mistakes were meant to be made only once.

"Hmm?" Zachary's hoarse voice resonated above her head, carrying an undeniable sense of dominance.

The next second, Zachary flipped over, pinning her down and looking down at her eyes from a superior position.

Winona collected herself and reached out to push him away. "I don't want to."

"Weren't you accusing me of not satisfying you? When I was feeding you just now, I thought you were so eager that you wanted to take control. But now you say you don't want to, are you playing hard to get?" Zachary's lips pressed against hers, his words dripping with desire, though each one was more sarcastic than the last.

Even a fool like Winona could tell that there was something wrong with that soup. She tried to explain, "I didn't know."

"Do you think I'll believe you? This isn't the first time you've done something like this."

"You..." Every time that incident was mentioned, Winona felt a deep sense of powerlessness. He always managed to force her to remember that night. "Let me say it one last time, back then it was because..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Zachary's overwhelming kiss descended upon her, silencing her words.

Winona was dazed. She pushed against his chest with all her strength, hoping to free herself from his grip, but all she got was a deeper and heavier kiss from the man, without a hint of tenderness or affection, only domination.

Her lips were cut by his and she tasted a faint metallic tang of blood. Her mind swirled and spun from extreme lack of oxygen, until the man's scorching hand came onto her and she realized that the buttons of her shirt had been undone at some point.

She turned her head away, refusing to let him continue the kiss. "Zachary, let me go."

She struggled and twisted her body, using all her strength to break free from his restraint...

But in terms of physical strength, women were naturally at a disadvantage. Despite her best efforts, Winona couldn't overcome Zachary's one arm and was easily subdued.

Zachary, with lips still tinged with crimson, smirked in a half-smile. "Your reason for divorce was that I had erectile dysfunction and couldn't satisfy your normal needs, right? Now that the problem is gone, the grounds for divorce are no longer valid."

He propped himself up, half-kneeling on the bed, and grabbed her chin, forcing her tilted head to face him.

Because of the angle, what Winona could see... was quite obvious.

The person's voice maintained its usual indifference, but each word challenged her taut nerves: "Are you satisfied with what you see?"

Winona's face turned extremely ugly, about to retaliate when Zachary's phone suddenly rang. He reached out and picked it up from the bedside table, furrowing his brows slightly as he saw the caller ID.

It was Fiona's agent.

With a swipe of his finger, he answered the call. "What's the matter?"

As Zachary spoke and tried to get up from Winona, the woman he had been avoiding unexpectedly reached out...

When her chest covered him, the man's body instantly tightened, and he lowered his eyes. A storm that could almost shatter a person churned in his dark eyes.

The tightly clenched teeth made a light friction sound.

The person on the other end of the phone kept talking, but Winona only vaguely listened, understanding that it was mostly about Fiona having another problem, implying that Zachary should go and check on her now.

Zachary gave a warning glance at the woman in his arms, but she provocatively raised her chin, answering his earlier question, "Not just satisfied, but also enduring. I can't take it anymore, you need to slow down..."

Her voice wasn't quiet, allowing the person on the other end of the phone to hear it clearly!
