CHAPTER TWO

Who goes there!" Someone yelled. I bit my lips in fear and began to think of how to escape being caught. I quickly scurried over the gate before I would be spotted and once I was on the other side, I began to run as fast as I could. I ran into the forest and past my pack's border. My ears perked up as I walked into the rouges territory. It was at that point that I realised that I didn't know how to get to Fang Pack. I tried different routes but just ended up getting lost. I tried to retrace my steps back but to no avail.

I stopped and rested against a tree. I was totally lost in a forest which was inhabited by rouges and I didn't have a phone, so I couldn't contact anyone. I began to wish that I hadn't left the pack in the first place. I reminisced about how I learnt about my mother in the first place. I had overheard the head maid talking with some visitors and I heard her tell them how my mother fled. Immediately she found out that I was an Omega. Thinking back, I realised that trying to find my mum was a bad idea, she probably didn't want to see me and that was why she must have fled back to her pack.

I also wondered if she really had cheated on the Alpha with his brother like it was rumoured. After all, why else would she have fled? It could have been out of shame of producing an Omega for an Alpha. She had to have been the first Luna in history to give birth to an Omega. Sometimes, I wonder if things would have been different if I wasn't born an Omega.

I snapped out of my thoughts and reminded myself that I was still lost in a forest filled with vicious rouges. I got up from the tree and began to wander around the forest in hope of finding a way out before I would be discovered by rouges, I stumbled on a stream and decided to stop for a drink, but as I bent down for a sip, I heard a twig snap behind me, causing me spin around but there was no one behind me.

I stared into the woods, trying to catch whoever or whatever it was that was there but couldn't find anything. "I must be hallucinating from staying out here for too long", I muttered, and turned around to continue my drink. I crouched down beside the stream, cupping my hands to drink. The water was cool and refreshing, but I couldn't shake the feeling that someone or something was watching me. I glanced over my shoulder, but there was nothing there. Just the trees, the shadow, the rustling of living. But then, out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of something moving in the bush. I froze, my heart pounding.

I slowly turned, my eyes scanning the forest. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Something was definitely out there, probably a rouge. I took a deep breath and began to creep forward, silently trying not to make a sound. Suddenly, a low growl echoed through the trees. I spun around, my eyes widened in terror as I saw it, a massive, snarling rouge, its eyes glowing in the darkness, staring right at me.

As I stood there, frozen in fear, the rogue slowly stalked towards me, its massive body seeming to grow larger with each step it took. Its lips curled back, revealing sharp, glistening teeth. I tried to back away but my feets felt like they were rooted to the ground. The rogue let out a low menacing growl, and I knew that I was in serious trouble. I racked my brain for anything I knew about rouges, anything that might give me an edge, but I couldn't come up with anything. I was always too busy cleaning the house to learn anything on self defence. I contemplated shifting into my wolf form, but I knew that it was useless as I was weaker in my wolf form than I was in my human form.

I was still lost in thoughts when I heard more approaching footsteps. I looked up to see that I was now surrounded by even more rouges and they all looked like they were ready to devour me. One charged at me and tried to pin me down but I was quick to move out of the way and ran away from their midst.

I was racing through the woods , the sound of the rogues snarling and howling echoing behind me. My heart was pounding in my chest, and I was drenched with sweat. I could barely breathe as I ducked and dodged through the trees, searching for an escape route. And then I saw it, a cave. It was my only hope.

I raced into the cave, my heart pounding in my chest. I could hear the rouges snarling and snapping at my heels as I plunged into the darkness. I scrambled up a rocky slope and squeezed into a narrow crevice, pressing myself against the cold, damp stone. I tried to steady my breathing and listened for any signs of the rogues. All was quiet for a moment, but then I heard a rumble, like a growl coming from deep within the cave.

Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed through the cave, shaking the very ground beneath me. I looked up and saw a massive, shadowy figure emerging from the darkness. It was a rogue. It was twice the size of the others, and its eyes were burning with a feral rage. It snarled and lunged forward, claws extended, its razor sharp teeth bared. I was trapped and there was nowhere to run. It was over, I was going to die at the hands of a rogue and my remains would never be found.
