

“I, Wilfred Kristian, reject you, Myra Scott, to be my mate.”  He said coldly then turned his back to leave without any form of explanation. 

“Wait. What!, why?” I sounded confused. I didn't understand why he did that. I grabbed his arm to stop him from leaving. “Why did you do that, Wilfred? Are you playing a prank on me?”

But his face was serious and expressionless, showing no hint of humor or jest. 

No, no, no, this can't be happening to me, I must be having a nightmare. 

"You don't mean it, right?” “ You love me, please, I am sorry, just take it back. My voice trembled in fear.

"I thought we had something Wilfred, I thought you loved me, so why are…… 

Ha… ha.  He interrupted me with a subtle chuckle that held a great intensity of danger. 

“We had a one-night stand Myra, get over it,” I can't possibly be with a weak mutt like you.” His words felt like daggers pierced into my spine. “What happened, what changed.” I needed some form of explanation. 

“I never loved you, I just lied, so I can have a taste of you, and I did. Not gonna lie, you were sweet but not good enough to keep me.” he said with a twisted smirk on his face. 

Myra and Wilfred have been best friends since childhood. They had each other's back until a war broke out, leading to the death of Myra's parents and also to the separation of Myra and Wilfred. Two years later, he returned as the alpha of the moonstone pack, which is one of the strongest and most powerful packs. But this time with so much hatred  for Myra.
