Chapter 1 You're Crazy, Stop It!

"Excuse me, please make way! Excuse me, please make way!"

Michael rushed into the Hilton Hotel, holding an urgent package.

It was almost 5:30 in the afternoon, and he had to deliver this express delivery quickly and then go home to make dinner. He didn't want his wife and her family to come back to an empty table and give him a scolding.

Soon, he arrived outside the door of the presidential suite, too breathless to take a moment, and immediately rang the bell.

Ding dong!!!

After a few rings, the door to the room opened.

"Hello, may the wind be at your back..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Michael was struck by lightning when he saw who opened the door. He stood there dumbfounded, and the package slipped from his hand.

The person who opened the door was none other than Michael's wife, Charlotte!

Behind Charlotte, not far away, stood a young man wearing a bathrobe.

Michael recognized this young man. He was Daniel, a famous second-generation wealthy man in Nexus City and a devoted pursuer of Charlotte.

"Charlotte, you..."

Michael couldn't believe any of this.

Charlotte blinked slightly.

"What are you doing here? Go back! I can't stand the sight of you!" Her tone was extremely cold and impatient.

Those words felt like iced water being poured over Michael, leaving him chilled to the bone.

He managed to force out a bitter smile. "Actually... If you were tired of me, you could have just told me. I would have turned around and wished you happiness."

"After three years of marriage, I've always expected a day like this. I've already prepared the divorce agreement and signed my name on it. It's under my bed. You can sign it anytime to proceed with the divorce."

"I'm sorry for making you suffer these past three years. I hope you remember that there was once a worthless man who... treated you better."

With those words, Michael turned around in embarrassment, his tears falling to the ground.

He had thought he could turn around gracefully, but when this day truly arrived, the pain in his heart turned out to be so intense.

"It's not what you think."

Seeing Michael's desolate figure leaving, these words echoed in Charlotte's mind.

Daniel secretly delighted, coughed twice, stepping forward. "Charlotte, just go along with his wishes, sign the divorce agreement, and marry me. I promise to make you happy."

Charlotte suddenly turned around, her beautiful eyes glaring at Daniel in anger. "You deliberately called me here to talk about business and had the delivery company arrange for him to deliver your urgent files. Your intention was to make him misunderstand and deflate his self-esteem, causing him to voluntarily withdraw from this failed marriage with me."

"Yes!"

"Charlotte, what are you saying? Am I that kind of person?"

"You are exactly that kind of person!"

Charlotte gritted her teeth, "If I'm not mistaken, this so-called urgent document from your supposed client is fake!"

After speaking, she bent down and picked up the package on the ground, tearing it open.

Daniel was shocked and frantically tried to grab the package, "Charlotte, this is a confidential document from my company. You are not allowed to see it."

Charlotte didn't listen to him and pulled out the document from the package.

It was a stack of blank A4 papers.

"This is your company's confidential document?"

Charlotte angrily questioned.

Daniel was speechless.

"Despicable!"

Charlotte angrily threw the stack of A4 papers on the ground and walked away in high heels.

"That's right! I'm despicable!"

Daniel immediately blocked Charlotte's path, emotionally saying, "But everything I've done was because of you pushing me to it, right?"

"As long as you divorce that waste of a man and marry me, I can help Wright Corporation get through the bankruptcy crisis. You won't have to work so hard anymore. Why won't you agree?"

"What makes me, Daniel, inferior to him? I graduated from Cambridge University, have assets worth over two billion, luxurious mansions, sports cars, and savings. And him? He's just a stinking delivery boy with nothing. Why do you insist on being with him?"

"Because he provides me with a sense of security that you can't!"

Leaving these words behind, Charlotte pushed Daniel away and walked away quickly.

"Damn it!" Daniel punched the wall.

"I want to see if he can really provide you with a sense of security!"

Enraged, he rushed into the presidential suite, picked up the phone on the coffee table, and dialed a number.

"Joshua, under that Michael’s bed, there's a divorce agreement with his signature. Immediately go to his house and find it. When Charlotte returns, have her mom force her to sign it!"

...

Boom!

The heavens suddenly opened with heavy rain pouring down.

This thunderstorm came unexpectedly, and countless pedestrians sought shelter from the rain. Only one figure walked aimlessly in the rain, lost and distraught.

Leaving the Carter family, without any relatives, he didn't have a clue about what to do next.

He was originally a descendant of the top-tier Anderson family in Capital City. Three years ago, he was crippled and driven out of the Anderson family by Charlotte's father, Robert. Coincidentally, Robert was on a business trip to Capital City and took pity on him and saved him.

Since Robert had no son, he thought he was honest. After his recovery, he arranged his marriage with Charlotte, becoming the son-in-law of the Carter family.

As a result of this marriage, he had jumped into an abyss, becoming the despised son-in-law of the Carter family.

Especially two years ago, when Robert had a car accident and became a vegetable, he was burdened with the nickname of jinx, and his spine had been exposed.

He could endure all these, after all, he was just a useless person. Charlotte was so outstanding, with an MBA degree from Harvard. By marrying a worthless person like him, she was constantly being mocked. What could a little humiliation mean to him?

However, as time went by, he gradually understood that the best way to love someone was not to protect them, but to wish for their happiness.

But letting go was painful.

"This loser looks like he's been abandoned by his girlfriend."

"Losers should be more realistic, just be a single dog, why bother with relationships and end up being hurt by love."

"He doesn't even look at his social status. How can someone with a delivery uniform talk about relationships? He deserves to be dumped."

As Michael walked in the rain, seeking shelter from the street, he was met with the mocking words from a young person.

Just then, a Rolls-Royce and two Mercedes S600s suddenly stopped in front of Michael.

Quickly, a man in a suit got out of the Mercedes S600 and ran to Michael's side, holding a black umbrella to shield him from the rain.

Immediately after, an old man with gray temples got out of the Rolls-Royce and walked to Michael's side, surrounded by several umbrella-holding men, all respectfully bowing at a ninety-degree angle.

"Young Master Three!"

The booming voice echoed, resonating through the earth.

The people who had just mocked Michael were now frozen like statues, their eyes bulging out!

Oh no, this was the son of a big shot!

"Why did you come? Do you want to see me make a fool of myself?" Michael's face turned extremely cold when he saw these people.

These people were the servants of the Anderson family, and the leader was Jonathan, the butler of the Anderson family.

"Young Master Three, the Lord sent me to invite you back. Your grandfather has investigated you and wants your blood for a DNA test. If you don't deliver your blood within three days, the Anderson family will give up on you. Hurry and come back with me. The Lord can't bear the pressure anymore," Jonathan said tremblingly.

"Go back?" Michael sneered, "Since I can remember, the Anderson family has never regarded me as a person. I remember when I was young, every time I was bullied by the eldest and second eldest, whenever I complained, they would pin me down and beat me. And every time I went to the old man for justice, he would say I deserved it."

"Three years ago, when the second eldest called me a bastard, I couldn't bear it and fought him. But the old man didn't care who was right or wrong, he let you break my tendons and threw me out of the Anderson family. Till this day, I still..."

"He is a weakling with no strength!"

"Now, my grandfather came to find me. He is afraid of facing retaliation for what he did to me back then. He wants me to go back, but I won't even consider it."

"Tell him that even if I die out here, I don't want to set foot in the Anderson family again."

Having grown up without parents and being treated as less than human by the Anderson family, he had long become accustomed to loneliness. Whether the person who requested the DNA test was his biological grandfather or not, it no longer mattered to him. He just wanted to quietly waste away as a useless person and fend for himself.

"Young Master Three, please go back. Lord Anderson said that if you are willing to return, he will pass on the inheritance of the Anderson family to you. Your second brother and I will follow your lead as well." Jonathan pleaded desperately.

"I told you; I don't want to step into the Anderson family home ever again. Are you deaf?" Michael angrily shouted.

"Get lost! All of you, get the hell out of here!" He kicked angrily at those men in suits.

Just then, a sweet voice suddenly emerged from behind Michael.

"Michael! Have you gone crazy? Stop it!"
