Chapter. 2 Today is Very Chaotic

Logan's POV

I was thoughtful as I listened to the teacher's explanation of Carol's test results. My heart suddenly felt guilty. However, when Carol was about to leave, I immediately left the teacher's room door. I hid behind the wall and watched her walk away.

I followed her quietly from behind. As she turned a corner in the corridor, she was suddenly doused with sewage water.

"Hahaha. You deserve it!" Jenny said.

"You guys! What did I ever do to you? I never had anything to do with you!" shouted Carol, looking full of emotion.

"You're wrong because you're ugly. You're not part of our flock. So you'd better get far away from here!" said Jenny's friend.

"Did you hear that? Shall we be the ones to take you away?" Jenny threatened. "Looks like you deserve it! Come on girls, let's do it!" Jenny grabbed Carol's hand and so did her two friends. I went straight out of behind the wall.

"Stop it!" I shouted, immediately stopping their movements.

"Logan." They looked surprised to see me.

"What are you doing to her?" I asked in a high voice. I looked at Carol who could only look down with a frightened face.

"We just want to awaken her mind. She doesn't deserve to be in our herd," Jenny replied.

"Your words are truly disrespectful. No matter what, she is still the daughter of a fallen soldier-commander. Appreciate his struggle!" I snapped a little, and the girls lowered their heads with regretful faces.

"Sorry," they mumbled together.

"Go! Before I change my mind!"

"Okay."

Not five minutes later they were out of sight. Now it's just me and Carol who want to go.

"Hi! Did you forget to say thank you?" I said, blocking her path.

"For what? You're not much different from them," she said curtly. Then she stepped back. Again I had to grab her arm to stop her legs from moving.

"You shouldn't have come home like that. You should at least wear this." I opened the cowhide jacket I was wearing. Then I used it to cover her arms, which were still wet and only wrapped in plastic. She opened her mouth to argue, but I quickly stopped her. "No need to thank me this time. Because tomorrow you have to give it back after washing it seven times."

I said and left. I know she still looks confused and flattered by my treatment. Wake up, Carol. I am the most interesting person you will ever meet.

I arrived in the room about fifteen minutes later. I opened the window curtains wide to look out over the expanse of all the pack members' houses. Carol's house was no exception. The house looked ordinary. It was no better than the palace servants' house. But this place attracts my attention every time I see it.

My lips smiled as I remembered what had just happened. As I lay down, I imagined Carol returning my jacket tomorrow. She will come to her senses. I'm the only and most handsome and kind werewolf in this pack. So she couldn't look away from me for a second. Just like the other girls.

The bedroom doorbell rang. A servant appeared shortly afterwards.

"Sorry, Prince. Miss Grace is waiting for you downstairs," said the woman in her forties. I've been waiting for this. As it turned out, she came faster than a horse.

"OK. I'm going down now!"

I got up excited. Then I left the servant who was still standing there. After descending the long palace staircase, I saw Grace's figure in the palace's luxurious living room.

"Logan," the girl said as she ran towards me. She immediately hugged me tightly. I took her off.

"Hi, Grace. Where's the thing?"

"Don't rush, Logan. There's still a lot we can talk about," Grace said, resting her head on my shoulder. I let go of the hug.

"Grace. Please! Not at this time. As an Alpha candidate, I'm very busy right now," I lied. Grace looked grumpy.

"Okay. I understand. But what are you going to do with that thing?" Grace lifted the paper bag in her hand. My smile widened and I quickly grabbed the object.

"You'll find out tomorrow!" I immediately went back up the stairs.

"OK. I'm waiting for the big surprise! It will definitely be exciting!" Grace shouted downstairs. I stared at her for a moment and then showed her my thumb. The girl looked happy as she walked away. Meanwhile, I sped back into the room. I can't wait to see the contents of this paper bag.

Arrived in the room. I sat down in the middle of the big bed in my luxurious room. I put the paper bag in front of me. Then I took out the contents. My smile grew again when I saw Carol's T-shirt, trousers and knit jumper. These were the items that Grace managed to steal while Carol cleaned herself in the toilet. Tomorrow I will return this to its owner. But first I need to fix this thing up a bit. I laughed as I remembered my ridiculous plan with that girl. This is what happens when she is still so busy with her unimportant affairs that she is arrogant towards me.

I accidentally felt something in the pocket of her cheap jacket. I reached into

And found a folded piece of paper.

"Letter? Could it be a love letter? Oh, no way. She couldn't possibly have a dream boyfriend at school." I muttered, smiling mockingly. I unfolded the paper and read the contents for a moment.

"What?! She has feelings for Haider?" I muttered as I read the letter containing Carol's feelings for Haider. Suddenly I'm fed up of this girl. I thought she was innocent and pure. It turns out she was secretly aggressive with other men.

My doorbell rang again. A servant hurried over.

"Prince. Prince is in big trouble!" she said frantically.

"What kind of trouble?"

"The daughter of our former soldier commander has been accused of stealing Benny Halbert's jacket. But she admitted that the jacket was a gift from you," the woman replied quickly.

"What? Where is she now?"

"She's in the courtroom. Hurry up and make a proper confession!"

I jumped out of bed, my hands reaching for my black jacket. I walked quickly to the place the waiter had just mentioned.

That's right, go there. The place was already packed with dozens of people watching. An angry Benny could be seen swearing at Carol, who could only cry in front of her mother. This is my fault. I forgot that Benny had exchanged my jacket this afternoon. Because Benny wanted to wear my jacket. I shouldn't have lent Carol someone else's jacket. I was still thinking about it as I walked closer. People stepped aside as soon as they saw me.

"That's Prince Logan. That's Prince Logan," they whispered to each other. I don't care because my attention is now focused on Carol and the man next to her. He is Haider. What is their real relationship? Is it possible that Haider has accepted Carol's feelings?

"Logan! Give your honest testimony. Is it true that you gave Benny's jacket to Carol?" Father, as Alpha, was the judge at the time. I cannot answer directly. My eyes looked straight at Carol, who was in a state of disarray, but my heart couldn't see Haidar holding her trembling shoulders.

"No!" I said briefly. Then I left.
