Chapter. 3 My Day Is Never Fun
Caroline's POV
I can't say anything more. Everyone accused me of being a thief. My mother just kept silent while she bowed her head. I know she can't blame me like the others. But she would blame herself. Because she felt she couldn't buy the things I wanted.
All because of Logan. If I hadn't gotten that damn jacket this afternoon. Of course, it won't be like this. I'm sorry. Very sorry.
My bedroom door opened. I sat down in the corner of the room and immediately wiped away my tears.
"Carol. It's time for dinner. Why don't you come down? Even though Mom and Auntie Amber have been waiting for you all this time." My mother said as she stroked the long hair that covered my back.
"I'm not hungry yet, Mom," I replied quietly.
"Don't lie. You haven't eaten since this afternoon. Never mind. Don't think about what happened earlier. Life must go on, no matter what happens," Mom said calmly. I immediately hugged her body, which was still slender even though she was no longer young. Then I cried bitterly.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I'm sorry."
"You don't have to apologize. I know you didn't mean it. I promise to be more active in earning money so you can be like the others."
"No, Mom. I don't want a jacket. Logan lied. He set me up on purpose." I tried to make Mum believe me. I don't care what people out there think of me now, but my mom does. She's all I have in this world.
"I knows. Never mind. Eat your food now. Then go to sleep. Tomorrow you have to go to school. Mother has to go to the palace early too."
I nodded quickly. I saw Mother walk away. She was one of the palace doctors. And we lived on a small salary from that job. My mother's money was only enough to cover my daily needs. Not to buy me expensive things. But I don't want any of that. Because I have her, I am very grateful. Unfortunately, that bastard Logan managed to break my mother's heart. What do you want, Logan? Aren't you satisfied with harassing me at school? Why do you have to carry my mother too?
My tears flowed harder as my hands clenched into fists. Watch out, Logan! I will never forgive you.
The next day I went to school as usual. Even though people still looked at me with hatred. But I ignored them.
I feel more used to this situation now. Even though I used to feel frustrated. I will give them my best. I don't want them to look down on me and my mother.
I have just entered the classroom. My eyes caught something on the bench where I usually sit. I grabbed the paper bag and checked its contents. It turned out to be my clothes from yesterday. Damn it! What does it mean this time?
My clothes are still complete. I checked the pocket of my jumper for something.
"Luckily that thing is still there," I muttered with a broad smile. Suddenly someone appeared from behind and took the folded paper.
"Is this what my letter wanted?" Angela asked, opening the object.
"Yes. This is the letter you asked for yesterday." I replied a little nervously. Because this girl is now the president of the defensive line club. And I want that position when I graduate.
"Good. But don't ever tell Haider. You did this. Or I'll kick you out of the defensive line club."
I lowered my head. Scared. She had had feelings for Aunt Amber's child for a long time. Unfortunately, Haider didn't want to open the door of his heart to anyone now. He has decided to keep his distance from Angela before he finds out who his true mate is.
Meanwhile, Angela is now a werewolf without a mate. Her mate is a soldier. He died shortly after his graduation. Because he was on the battlefield. So now she's free to choose a mate. Including werewolves who are still completely single.
"And one more thing. If this letter doesn't impress him, I'll make sure you get into trouble at the club." She threatened before leaving. I didn't answer and just watched her go.
"No wonder Haider doesn't like this girl. She's very wild." I muttered.
I shook my head quickly as I turned my eyes back to the jumper. My forehead furrowed in confusion. I saw embroidery on the back of the object. The number 07 was printed very clearly and neatly.
"What is this empty seven?" I muttered in confusion.
"Put it on and get out there!" Logan ordered, standing in the doorway of the classroom. I looked at him annoyed.
"I don't want to!" I folded the object again and put it in a paper bag. Using his teleportation ability. Logan suddenly stood in front of me.
"Don't make me force you!" he said, holding back my hand movements. I shook him off immediately.
"What do you want this time? Didn't you humiliate me enough yesterday?" I asked in a high tone.
"It was all your fault. You forced me to do it yourself!"
Hey! I am the victim here. Why is he angry than me?
"I don't know what you think, Logan! But I must remind you that your position as Alpha Prince does not intimidate me in the least. So you will never succeed in oppressing me!"
I tried to show my strength as I walked over to corner him. Logan reflexively backed away at the same time as I was getting closer.
"OK. If that's what you want!"
Logan suddenly grabbed my waist. Then he lifted my body and sat down on the bench. Our distance is very close. He even hates my smell. But why did he do that? I'm confused in my heart.
Especially when Logan took my jumper and put it on me. I was surprised by his sweet treatment. My heart suddenly started to pound. I hadn't expected Logan Scott to treat me like this.
"What do you see?" the man asked me.
"There isn't one." I turned my face so he wouldn't see my red cheeks. Because of his handsome face.
"Good. Because now you have to do something!"
Logan lifted my body. Then, using his special strength, we moved to the bleachers of the school's basketball court, which was still empty.
I pushed his body away. "What do you want now?"
I know he has evil plans for me. Logan smiled mischievously as he brought his face closer. I immediately freaked out.
"Stay here until my basketball game is over," he ordered.
"I don't want to. I haven't even watched your performance on the court yet!"
"Okay. Then let this be your first experience!" Logan flicked his fingers in the air. This brought his two friends closer together. "Keep her safe for me!" Logan said commandingly.
"Okay, Alpha Prince!" I looked at them confused.
"What are you going to do to me?" I asked suspiciously.
"Sit still. Or you will suffer the consequences!"
One of them stopped me from moving. Then he pushed me roughly until I was sitting on one of the benches. They sat on either side of me like police guarding criminals. By now Logan had disappeared from the place, which was full. The people who came looked at me with disapproval. Then two teams of basketball players appeared, ready to compete. My eyes widened when I saw that Logan's shirt number was the same as the number on this sweater. Wait, what does that mean? I didn't have time to get an answer to my confusion. Suddenly someone threw something at me from behind.
"Oww!" I groaned as I turned around.
"Hey, look! The ugly one has also come to encourage our Alpha prince. We better attack her with these rotten tomatoes. So she wakes up from her delusion. Hahaha!" Grace sneered so proudly.
They threw rotten tomatoes at me again. I can't fight back. I can only try to protect my jaw from their attacks.
"Truly shameless. You even openly want to idolise her! You are a cheap woman! How could Logan ever see you? Hahaha," Grace's friend shouted.
