Chapter 1
CLARA'S POINT OF VIEW
My heart was pounding as I ran through the forest. I had been hunted by a group of werewolves since I left my home earlier that day, and I had no idea why. They kept saying something about me being the daughter of the Lycan King, and that they needed to capture me and bring me to him. I didn't know what it meant, and I didn't understand why they were so intent on finding me.
I could hear the werewolves barking and howling behind me, and I knew they were gaining ground. I had to think of something, and fast. I spotted a huge tree with a hollow in its base, and I dived inside, hoping I'd be safe from the werewolves. I could still hear them, but they seemed to be moving away. I eventually drifted off into a fitful sleep.
“Don't let that woman get away!” the man hollered.
I held my breath, hoping that they wouldn't hear me or even smell me. My whole body was shaking and I had no idea what to do. I didn't know if I should run away or just stay put, until the werewolves eventually left.
Relieved, I slowly stepped out from my hiding spot and that's when I noticed the pain in my leg.
“Oh shit!” I screamed.
I had stepped on a sharp rock while I was running away and my leg had started to bleed. I was in a dilemma since I was deep in the forest and I had no idea how to get back home safely.
“What is going on? Why do they call me Lycan king's daughter?” I panted.
“I'm just a lowly Omega.”
I started to walk, looking for a way out while my leg kept on bleeding. I was afraid and tired, and I just wanted to be back home. After a few hours of walking, I found a path and followed it, until finally, I made it out of the forest. I was relieved to see familiar streets and people, and I quickly went home
My mother was shocked when she saw my appearance and my bloody foot. She looked at me frantically and asked, “Clara, what happened?” I felt my heart racing as I tried to come up with an explanation. I didn't know how to tell her the truth.
I couldn't answer her, my voice was trembling and I could feel my eyes getting red. I was trying to find the courage to tell her what happened.
I had been running from a group of werewolves for hours. They called me the Lycan King's daughter and said they wanted to take me away. I was terrified and I had no idea why they wanted me.
My mother was in disbelief, but she kept her composure and asked me to explain everything. I told her about the werewolves and how they had chased me for hours. I told her how they had been calling me the Lycan King's daughter and how they wanted to take me away.
“They were chasing me, Mom!” I started to cry while looking at her blue eyes.
My mother was speechless and hugged me so tight. She immediately treated my wound. I was writhing in pain and begged my mom to let me rest first, but she immediately treated my wound. My whole body was weak from the pain and I fell asleep soon after.
“Let me take some rest, mom” I begged her as I still writhing in pain.
When I woke up, I heard a loud howl of werewolves and noise outside. I quickly got up and looked for my mother. My whole body was still shaking and my foot still hurt, but I didn't mind and ran out of the room.
“Mom!” I called her as I walked down the stairs quickly.
“Mom, where are you?” I shouted and panicked.
I heard my mother calling my name and was obviously in danger. I was always taught to never ignore a call for help, so without thinking I went outside and saw my mother running away from a pack of werewolves. My heart raced and my breathing quickened as I watched in horror. She ran as quickly as she could, but the werewolves were too fast. Before I knew it, they had grabbed her and dragged her away.
I was frozen in fear for a few moments, not sure what to do, before finally I snapped out of it and started to run after them. I followed them deep into the woods, dodging branches and jumping over logs as I ran. I could still hear my mother’s screams in the distance, but I refused to give up.
“Mom!” I shouted.
I kept running, my feet pounding against the ground, until I eventually came to a clearing. The werewolves had stopped and my mother was in the center, surrounded by them. I could see that she was terrified and I wanted to help her, but I was too scared to move.
Suddenly, one of the werewolves stepped forward and spoke.
I took a deep breath and stepped forward.
"Come with me or I will kill her!" he hissed.
"What do you need from me?!" I hollered.
"We have been looking for you for a long time. You are the Lycan king's daughter," the man alleged.
"You're wrong. I'm just a lowly omega and I live peacefully in this place." I insisted.
The werewolf smiled. "You can't deny the truth, woman. Your face is the evidence even if you pretend," he said to me with glaring eyes.
I don't know what to do at that time. If I don't go with them, mother's life will be in danger.
I was about to make a deal with the werewolves when suddenly a man appeared, killing them one by one. I was amazed at how well he fought and couldn't help but be in awe of the skill he possessed.
I rushed to my mother and found her lying on the floor, his arms covered in blood. I was horrified and shook her gently to wake her up.
“Mom, you have a wound!” I quavered, tears streaming down my cheeks.
“No. It's fine, “she sighed.
I quickly called for help and a man appeared in front of me. He was tall and muscular with a stern look on his face.
But I noticed that the man was looking at me strangely. He seemed to be examining me from head to toe. I was so confused about his reaction that I almost forgot to thank him.
“Savannah” he uttered.
