Danger? What Kind of Danger?"

"How is it my fault that the girl is way too soft for her own good?" She grumbles, pouting visibly as she turns to Daisy who is trying so hard not to laugh. "See what I have to go through without you here? No one understands me."

Daisy chuckles, taking her hands and trying not to frown at how fragile they feel. She can't help the sadness that creeps up within her as she now understands the gravity of her illness. This woman is the strongest woman she knows in this pack. As the pack's seer and high school English and Literature teacher, she's a rather loud no nonsense woman. Most of the sarcasm, wit and confidence Daisy exhuded was molded from spending too much time with this woman.

Raena has a harsh yet imploringly honest way of saying things which makes her come off as rude and mean but she is really the kindest soul she has ever met. She never liked staying put. She always has to do something. Whether it's giving the Alpha advice or making prophecies or working on her garden or making lesson notes, this woman is always moving. But now...now she's just...

"What happened to you?"

Raena sighs at the emotion in Daisy's voice, knowing fully well the big baby is close to tears. "Life happened, child. People get sick. It just so happens that I got the short end of the stick by sticking one leg in the spirit realm and one leg out," she shrugs...or at least she tries to. Even lifting her shoulders was a piece of work. "Never mind me. How have you been? Tell me, what havoc has my little troublemaker of a student been wrecking upon the world?"

Catching on that the woman doesn't want to dwell on her current situation, Daisy chuckles, filling the woman in on her life, work and everything she has achieved so far while Anika serves the woman her tea. She laughs when Raena makes a face after tasting the tea. Her heart brims with joy as she watched the two bicker with each other as though they were age mates when Anika was twenty years younger than Raena. She misses this. She misses this town. This pack and everything about it. She feels at peace here. Her thoughts are eeriely quiet as opposed to how it usually runs a million miles per minute daily. It's a welcome change for her.

Once Raena is done with her tea and enough small talk is made, her gaze turns serious. "Daisy, there's something important I need to share with you. It concerns your destiny, and it's not a simple matter."

Daisy leans in, her curiosity piqued. "What do you mean?"

Raena takes a deep breath, choosing her words carefully. "What dreams have you been having recently?"

Daisy blinks, her hands suddenly feeling sweaty. This scenario reminds her of when she snuck into the woman's office to get a book on ghouls back then as a child. Distinct times but the same intense green eyes. "It's...I know I'm the Three Mated Luna, Raena."

"Yes, but do you even know what that means?"

Daisy nods, uncertainty stirring up in her mind at the look she's getting from the woman. "I guess?"

"You must be sure, Daisy. The bond you share with those men is not ordinary. You're a part of something ancient, something powerful. But with great power comes great danger."

Danger? What kind of danger?

"The prophecy warns that if the four of you can't find a way to reconcile your destinies, there's a possibility... a dark one. You might face consequences beyond our understanding. It's a delicate balance, Daisy."

The weight of Raena's words hangs in the air, casting a shadow over the room. Daisy, caught between skepticism and a growing acceptance of the inexplicable, can't help but ask, "What do you mean, consequences? What should we do?"

Raena's expression turns grave. "You must find a way to unite your fates. It won't be easy, and the path might be filled with challenges, but the survival of all four of you depends on it. The threads of your destinies are intertwined, Daisy. It's up to you to weave them together or risk unraveling everything."

Daisy absorbs Raena's revelation. Or at least she tries to. Destiny, prophecies, and the potential for dire consequences – it's a lot for her to process. What does it all mean?

The one thing she hates about seers is their inability to be clear about their prophecies. Can't they just tell someone what to do and be done with it?! What's with all the unnecessary foreboding words? She's about to ask the woman more questions when she hears a soft snore. Raena is already fast asleep.

Daisy frowns. This woman is the greatest insomniac known to man, so how-

"The tea. She falls asleep a few minutes after taking it. It's so the medicine can work properly. She needs rest. You know how she can get," Anika explains.

Daisy sighs, nodding in understanding, raising the woman's blanket higher so she would stay warm. Placing a soft kiss on the woman's head, she bids Anika farewell. She would have loved to stay but she couldn't miss work tomorrow. Mr. Randy would chew her up. Gabriel hadn't given up asking for her and she had run out of excuses to give. The only reason her boss had allowed her to come in a bit late tomorrow is because she agreed to sit in on tomorrow's meeting. Sighing with resign, she leaves the house, more confused than when she came in.

Fumbling for her phone, she dials Lisa's number. The connection is made, and Lisa's voice comes through the line, a lifeline in the midst of Daisy's turmoil. "Hey, Daisy! Where are you? I've been buzzing at your apartment for twenty minutes now."

Right. She didn't tell her she wasn't in town. "Sorry, Lisa. I'm not at home. I went to my home town."

"What? Why? Is something wrong?"

She opens her mouth to say no but a weak choked up breath is all that comes out instead.

Sensing her stress, Lisa speaks softly, "it's okay, Daisy. Just take a deep breathe and compartmentalize."

Daisy takes a deep breath, pushing through her mental stress and imminent breakdown, focusing all her attention on trying to articulate the complexities of her emotions. "I went home to see my pack's seer."

"And?"

"She told me about some kind of prophecy, about our destinies being entwined. It's not just some romantic notion. It's a warning, Lisa. A warning that if we don't figure out how to reconcile our fates, something terrible might happen. Something beyond our comprehension."

There is a brief pause on the line before Lisa responds, "Reconcile your fates? As in you have to accept all three of them?"

Daisy's steps echoed on the quiet streets as she contemplates her answer. "I don't know, Lisa. I feel like I'm standing at the crossroads of my life, and each path is shrouded in uncertainty. How do I navigate this? How do I embrace a destiny that seems so much bigger than me? What if I make a mistake? What if someone dies or something bad happens? I can't have someone getting hurt-"

"Hey, hey. Relax. Calm down. Nothing bad is going to happen. Don't think like that," Lisa's comforting voice offers solace through the phone. "Daisy, you're strong. You've faced challenges before, and you've always come out on top. Maybe this is just another test, another chapter in your life. You don't have to face it alone."

Daisy manages a faint smile, grateful for Lisa's unwavering support. "Thanks, Lisa. I needed to hear that. I'll figure this out, one step at a time. And, who knows, maybe destiny has a way of surprising us."

"Indeed it does," she hums. "Well, I gotta go. I'll be stuffing myself with my mum's lasagna and grams' kimchi tonight since a certain someone isn't home."

Daisy freezes on the street, her eyes wide. Lisa's grams is korean and her mother is half Korean half Canadian. They both run a very successful restaurant in New York. Each time Lisa visits, she always comes back with more than enough food to last for a week but Daisy's personal favourite is the lasagna and kimchi. The very things the damn traitor is threathening to eat! "Lalisa Hanuel Sullivan, don't you dare finish that food!"

"Sorry? I can't hear a thing. The line is breaking."

"Lisa, I swear to God-"

"I can't hear you. We're being disconnected."

Daisy scoffs as the call ends abruptly. She wasn't planning on going back tonight initially but hell would freeze over before she let that girl eat her share of the food. Lifting her hands as soon as she sees a cab, she yells, "Taxi!"
