"I can't believe you put me in this situation. I can't wait for a locksmith; you'll have to go to this meeting with me."

"I absolutely won't!"

"Oh, yes, you will, even if I have to drag you."

"Try your luck, Fred! I'll make such a scene that you'll regret it."

The situation was becoming increasingly tense as Fred and I argued about how to deal with the handcuffs that bound us together. I wasn't willing to go with him to his meeting, but he was determined to take me, apparently as a way to make me pay for what I had done.

I knew I couldn't let that happen, so I prepared to create the biggest scene possible to attract the attention of anyone nearby.

"Don't even think about trying to drag me, Fred!" I shouted, my voice furious. "I'm not going anywhere with you!"

Fred seemed to hesitate for a moment, perhaps realizing that his attempt to forcibly take me would be a serious mistake. He looked around, aware of the people watching us curiously.

"This won't end well for you, Luana," he growled.

"I don't care," I stubbornly replied. "I'm not going anywhere with you, and if you try to drag me, I'll make such a scene that everyone here will see what you did."

The situation was at a standstill, with Fred and me stuck together by the handcuffs and neither of us willing to give in. I was determined not to be taken against my will, and Fred seemed reluctant to face a public scandal. Whatever happened next, one thing was certain: this situation was far from being resolved.

"Girl, you put me in this situation, so you'll have to figure it out!"

"Look, Fred, I don't care about you and your important meeting; you deal with this situation yourself," I replied, challenging him.

Fred and I remained at an impasse, both reluctant to give in to each other's demands. I was determined not to be forcibly taken to his meeting, while Fred seemed increasingly concerned about what was at stake in this important encounter.

Amid the escalating tension, Fred finally seemed to think of a solution.

"Look, Luana," he began, clearly reluctant. "I understand that you don't want to go with me, and I don't want you to get involved in something that doesn't concern you. But this meeting is crucial for my work, and I can't just skip it," he said, choosing his words carefully and appearing calmer.

I continued to look at him suspiciously, waiting to hear what he had to propose.

"I have an idea," he said slowly. "If you agree to go with me to the meeting and behave civilly, I promise that afterward, we'll find a way to remove this handcuff and go our separate ways. I don't want any more trouble, and I'm sure you don't either."

Fred's proposal was tempting as it meant I wouldn't have to attend his meeting for long. However, I was still hesitant to accept any agreement with him. After all, this whole situation was a result of his actions in the past.

"I don't trust you, Fred," I replied firmly. "But I'll agree to go with you to this meeting, provided you promise that after the event, we'll separate, and we'll never have to see each other again."

Fred nodded as if relieved that I had agreed to his proposal.

"Deal," he said. "Let's go to the meeting, and then we'll solve this problem."

Despite my distrust, I agreed to accompany him to the meeting, hoping that it would bring us one step closer to separating and putting an end to this complicated situation I had put us in.

"Shall we take my car?" I suggested.

"No way, let's take ours," he replied.

After Fred insisted a lot, we decided to go in his car, which, by the way, was a beast.

We got into the car, and I was going to have to drive.

"Do you really know how to drive?" he asked suspiciously.

I couldn't help but laugh at his incredulous expression.

"Of course, I know how to drive, Fred. I'm not completely useless," I replied, a bit sarcastic.

He seemed to ease up a bit, but he was still tense. Perhaps he was worried about the possibility of me doing something while behind the wheel.

"Great, go ahead then," he said, indicating that I should start driving.

I settled into the driver's seat and began driving Fred's car. It was truly an impressive machine, and I had to admit that I was enjoying the experience of being behind the wheel of such a luxurious car.

Fred genuinely seemed scared by my speed, and his worried expression was evident. However, instead of slowing down, I accelerated even more, perhaps to tease him a bit.

I was enjoying the opportunity to drive that luxurious car, and the fact that Fred was uncomfortable with my speed only made the experience more amusing for me.

"Can you slow down a bit?" he asked, his voice somewhat shaky.

I couldn't help but give him a mischievous smile as I looked at him. However, I decided to slow down a bit to make him feel more comfortable.

"Alright, Fred," I said, reducing the car's speed. "I don't want you to have a heart attack because of me."

He sighed in relief and relaxed a bit in the passenger seat. As we continued the journey towards the meeting, I knew that we still had a lot to resolve between us. But for now, I was willing to set aside my need to provoke him and focus on solving the handcuff situation.

We entered the building, and Fred informed me that the meeting was scheduled for the fifteenth floor. However, my anxiety about confined spaces soon became a problem. Fred looked concerned when I suggested taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

"You're kidding, right?" Fred said, looking incredulous. "Climbing to the fifteenth floor by stairs will be exhausting."

I knew he was right, but my anxiety was starting to manifest, and the idea of entering a cramped elevator was not an option for me at that moment.

"I have issues with confined spaces," I explained, my voice a bit shaky. "I really can't take an elevator right now."

Fred seemed more understanding when he realized it was a health issue. He sighed and nodded.

"Fine," he agreed. "We'll take the stairs, but you'll have to go slowly."

I thanked him for his understanding, and we began to climb the stairs towards the fifteenth floor. The climb was exhausting, but I was determined to face my anxiety and make it to the meeting.

As we climbed, I knew that this situation was becoming an increasingly bizarre experience, and I was eager for it all to end so we could get rid of the handcuff that bound us.
