"Girls, Hugo is back and wants to see me!"

"Ah, Nana, here we go again! He always says he's coming back and never does!"

"He's studying, that's why he didn't have time."

"Daiana, spare me! Two years and he has no time? Either you're very naive or just plain foolish."

"Wow, Fifi, no need to talk like that in front of Nana."

"I don't fantasize life like you, Helô. Whatever I have to say, I say it to her face. Fifi replied."

The argument continued unfolding among us as we were in the car on the way to pick up my car at the university. Divergent opinions about Hugo, my boyfriend's return, were clearly creating tension among us.

"Daiana, I'm not saying you shouldn't have hope, but it's important to be realistic too. Two years is a long time, and if he really wanted to be with Nana, he would have found a way to make it work, don't you think? Fifi said, looking at Daiana with a serious expression."

"Daiana, you know I support you in all your decisions, but I think Fifi has a valid point. We have to face reality, and if this guy is not giving Nana the attention she deserves, maybe it's time to move on. Helô commented, looking at me through the rearview mirror."

"I understand what you guys are saying, but I really like him, and I believe he can change. And he told me he wanted to see me, so I'll give him the opportunity to explain himself. I replied, trying to calm the situation."

The discussion continued as we headed towards the university, and it was clear that my friends were concerned about my decision to give Hugo another chance. The subject would still be a topic of conversation in the coming hours as we tried to understand our own relationships and expectations.

We arrived at the university, and there was my baby, I missed it, my car that has been with me for so long. I have a lot of love for it. I know I'll have to replace it soon, but for now, I'll take care of it with care.

We returned home amidst jokes and casual conversation; being with my friends is the best thing in the world. As soon as we got home, I made a request to the girls.

"Girls, don't tell my aunt anything that happened today."

"Nina would go crazy if she knew what happened today."

"Don't even mention it; she would kill me. I said, laughing."

My friends agreed to keep the incident involving the handcuffs and Fred a secret. They understood that my aunt would be worried and upset if she knew what happened, and I didn't want to cause her more stress.

We spent the rest of the day at home, relaxing and enjoying each other's company. Sometimes, all you need is true friends to deal with life's complicated situations.

As the night fell, I knew I would have to face the consequences of my impulsive actions, especially when it came to Fred and the handcuff incident. But for now, I was happy to be home with my friends, sharing laughs and memories, and putting problems aside for a moment.

_As we were talking, I received a message from Hugo.

Receiving a message from Hugo, my boyfriend, while I was with my friends brought a mix of emotions. I knew they had their opinions about him, and this would only add another element to the discussion.

I looked at the message on my phone, and for a moment, I hesitated to open it. Was Hugo finally coming back and willing to talk? Or was it just another empty promise?

_Speak up, Nana! What did he say? Daiana asked, eager to know the content of the message.

_He wants to meet me tomorrow afternoon. I replied, trying to keep a neutral tone.

_Tomorrow afternoon? Seems like someone isn't that busy after all. Fifi commented with an ironic smile.

_Don't start, Fifi. I just want to understand what he has to say. I replied, defending my decision.

Hugo's message would continue to be the center of attention in our conversation that night, as I tried to decide whether or not to give him a second chance and hear what he had to say. But regardless of the decision, I knew my friends would be by my side to support and advise, as they always did.

Hugo went to the United States to study and promised to come back to see me, but he always had an excuse. However, I think he will finally come, and I miss him so much. I've been waiting for him for all these years, and I think the time has finally come.

The possibility of reuniting with Hugo after so much time studying in the United States brought forth all the emotions I had kept bottled up. For years, I had waited for this moment, but I also carried a dose of skepticism due to unfulfilled promises in the past.

"Do you really believe he will show up, Nana? Helô asked, with a worried look."

"I want to believe, Helô. But even if he shows up, I don't know what to expect. I just want to clarify some things and close this chapter of my life once and for all."

My friends understood me, and regardless of what happened, they were by my side to offer support and advice. The reunion with Hugo promised to be a pivotal moment, and I was determined to handle it the best way possible, whatever the outcome.

"Girls, now changing the subject, in my confusing way, I ended up making a big mistake, and now I need your help."

"What was the mistake this time, Helô? Daiana asked, while we all laughed at the situation because Helô always gets tangled up; she's a bit confusing."

"I ended up accepting two appointments for the same time, and I need one of you to cover for me on one of them."

Helô's confusions always provided us with moments of fun and laughter. This time, she had gotten herself into a small dilemma with two appointments scheduled for the same time. It was typical of her, but we also knew that Helô was capable of handling any situation well.

"Don't worry, Helô. I can cover one of the appointments for you. I volunteered, knowing that my friends would always be there to help me when I needed it."

"Good thing Nana accepted because I'm out. Fifi said."

"And I'm busy with my work. Daiana replied from the other side."

"Even with Fifi and Daiana's refusal to help with the situation of the duplicated appointments, Helô and I knew we could count on each other. That's how our friendship worked in times of need, we were always there to support each other."

"Don't worry, Helô. Everything will be fine. I was determined to help her resolve this confusion. And what do I have to do?"

"So, you're going to be a flight attendant."

"Flight attendant? I can't even imagine what a flight attendant does."

Helô quickly explained what I would need to do as a flight attendant in her absence. That experience promised to be both an adventure and a challenge, and I was curious to see how I would fare in this new role. Destiny held unexpected surprises, and I was ready to embark on this uncertain journey as a flight attendant, eager to discover what awaited me in the skies.
