Chapter 5: The bride and groom

Justine's POV

Yesterday, I had a lengthy conversation with Grandma, and in the end, she agreed. Her strong desire for great-grandchildren outweighs the issues she's concerned about. As I gazed at my grandma, she assured me, "I will be there for your wedding. Don't worry about the chaos. I'll handle it. Just focus on enjoying your special day." Her words made me laugh, and I gave her a warm hug.

While checking my phone, I received a message from him about his upcoming wedding. I could already hear the wedding music playing in the background. Suddenly, one of grandma’s associates opened the door, and there stood Jasmine in her maid of honor attire. She seemed upset as she reminded me of the choice I had made.

"Let's go. Let's make sure to surprise everyone," Jasmine said as she handed me an envelope containing photos that could potentially disrupt Jaxon and Gianna’s lives.

We entered the venue, and the wedding staffs was already briefed by Lawrence on what needed to be done. As we made our way inside, Gianna had no clue that I was right behind her. The staff would inform us if Gianna made it to the altar.

After three minutes, a hand appears through the curtain and gives us a thumbs up. I glance at my grandmother and smile, while she sighs and they use the other door to take their seats. The curtain is then opened, and as I take a step forward, everyone is surprised by a song that wasn't part of Gianna's playlist.

Instead of a traditional white dress, I'm wearing a stunning off-shoulder purple wedding dress adorned with embroidered flowers and Swarovski crystals. The jewelry I'm wearing belongs to the Martinez family, with a rose-shaped blue diamond pendant necklace and matching earrings.

With two slits in the skirt, my legs are revealed as I walk down the aisle holding a sunflower bouquet, my favorite flower. The guests and Gianna's reactions are priceless. They start buzzing.

"What's happening? Is that Chairwoman Justine Martinez of Martinez Empire?" one of the guests exclaims, but I just smile and keep my eyes on Lawrence. In fairness, he's gorgeous!

"What do you think you're doing?!" Jaxon shouted. I was supposed to take a step on the stairs to reach the altar, but he blocked my way. I smirked and raised an eyebrow, then stepped on his foot.

"You should be asking that to yourself, you jerk. Move. My groom is waiting for me. Move away or I will step on you," I declared, looking directly into Jaxon's eyes.

Jaxon needed to understand that he would lose one of his advantages. He and Gianna wouldn't be able to use their marriage for whatever plans they had. As he was about to touch me, Grandma's men grabbed his shoulder, taking him by surprise. I walked up the three-step stairs and stood in front of Gianna. I can see how mad she is. I smirk devilishly.

"How dare you!" she yelled.

I placed my hand on my back, the one holding my bouquet, and caught her wrist, twisting it. She cried out in pain and dropped her rose bouquet.

"Lawrence! Why is she here? Tell your men to remove her! Ouch! Let go of my hand, you!" she exclaimed loudly.

I pushed her away, and she almost lost her balance. When I opened the envelope and noticed the drone above the guest, I knew it was time to give them the wedding present. I rip the envelope and grab the photos. I gave Lawrence my bouquet. I slapped Gianna in the face. She screams angrily. As soon as the drone dropped the photos, I discarded the ones I was holding.

"What the!" Gianna screams when she sees her photo kissing Jaxon. The guest buzz got louder, and they were all holding copies. They witnessed Jaxon and Gianna's affair. They look at each other.

"What the fuck! What type of false accusation is this? Lawrence, speak up!" Jaxon claims Gianna was trembling and about to approach Lawrence when I appeared in front of her fiancée. Lawrence took my arms and turned me around.

Our gazes met, and I was surprised when he looked at me with such emotion in her eyes. He raises his hand and snaps his fingers. Damien coughed, and I noticed him click the remote.

A video is displayed on the screen to our left. This is a clip from a video I took. Jaxon and Gianna were on the bed, kissing each other as they began to undress themselves.

"NOOO!" Gianna screamed.

Jaxon took her hand and they ran as fast as they could while bowing their heads. Damien stops playing and coughs. I can't stop staring at his stunning, icy blue eyes. I blink and attempt to move my body. His hand that is holding my arms moves down my waist, pulling me closer. Lawrence still met my gaze. His beautiful lips begin to form that devilish smirk.

"You really keep your promise, Ms. Martinez," he said.

I gulp and respond. "I told you, I'll make it worth your bet."

I tried to look away, but his laugh revealed his true feelings. "Justine, you look lovely in your wedding dress. It suits you better than a white wedding gown. Are you prepared to keep your promise that night, hmm?" he speaks

That made me laugh, so I grabbed the bouquet in his hand. "That is why I am here, remember?" I responded. He smiled.

"Those who want to leave, please do. I want Justine's wedding to be happy, not surrounded by two-faced people," my grandmother says.

I believe 75 percent of the guests will leave right away. My grandmother's men sit in the empty chairs. Jasmine and Damien stood by our sides, opening the ring box. I grab his ring, and there he is. He held my hand.

"I'm giving you this ring as a symbol of my love and devotion as your husband. I can't promise anything yet, but I will treat you better. Let us embark on this new chapter together, until death do us part."

He placed the ring on my finger and kissed it. I held his hand and looked into his eyes. "Wear this ring as a symbol of my dedication and faithfulness. I'll be a good wife for you. I will protect your heart, mind, and peace. Till death do us part," I concluded. I placed the ring on his finger and smiled. Everybody coughs. My grandmother stands up, and I have a bad feeling about this.

"Kiss the Bride!" she commanded.

Yes, her tone indicates that the only option is to do it. I sighed and looked at him. Lawrence grabbed my wrist and pulled it up. His other hand pulls me close to him. My eyes widened as his soft, warm lips touched mine. I never imagined a kiss would taste like this.

I opened my mouth and closed my eyes. He continued to hold me and began brushing his lips against mine. Our tongues begin to taste one another. We heard a loud clap from the audience and parted after a few seconds. He let me leave.

"Welcome to my hell, Justine," he whispered into my ears. I didn't understand what he meant. I smiled while hiding a secret.
