Chapter 4
Human world (orphanage home) The doorbell rang well, and a beautiful young lady came out to see two beautiful children lying at her doorstep. She couldn’t contain the strange occurrence, so she ran inside so she could reach out to an elderly person who is the woman in charge of the orphanage home, Mrs. Lydia. Mrs. Lydia came out to see what she had been told, and when she got there, she saw the most beautiful and handsome infant she had ever seen in her years of running the orphanage. She picked them up and noticed the necklace around their neck, which had their names written boldly on it. Kim and Kelly While she was still enjoying her moment with the children, she saw a note that read thus: “They both are from different royalty families; teach them to love and care for each other.” Mrs. Lydia’s husband was a military man who died as a result of the U.S. war that occurred in the 17th century. He died without giving her a child of her own, which made her open an orphanage home to adopt children without parents. There are about one hundred kids she takes care of, and of course that’s after the newborn they just had. She took the children inside and closed the door behind her. She went in to introduce the new infant to the kids in the orphanage. But she was surprised because that wasn’t the first time a strange infant had been dropped by the gate. They also received a child like that a week before. She kept wondering who it was that was dropping them there. ——————— The old werewolf P.O.V When she saw that the lady had taken the children inside, she turned to leave, knowing that they were in a safe place now. She had been watching Mrs. Lydia for a while now and had noticed her love for children and how conveniently she takes care of the ones she has. So she had faith that the two heirs of the alpha pack were in good hands. She prayed within herself that they would grow up to love each other and someday be able to resolve the conflict between their lands. -————- Five years after Time flew by quickly, and five years had gone by already. The conflict between the two kingdoms was still in existence as the northerners created a barrier between the two sides, preventing a westerner from crossing the northern border. The hatred grew more and more as both kingdoms strived very hard each day to be without a ruler. And also, nobody just becomes a ruler overnight; there must be some unique traits or characteristics in him or her. And the story of how the heir to the throne disappeared during the war was still a mystery yet to unfold. as they were so filled with anguish while fighting for their king, forgetting that they had infants to take care of. They were devastated because, in one day, they lost their king and queen at the same time. ——————- Human world Get off me, you idiot; how dare you take what’s mine? Two kids were seen fighting over a plate of food. Mrs. Lydia rushed into the scene as she separated them from each other. Kim, what’s wrong with you? Don’t you know he is your brother? Why are you hurting him? He started it. Mrs. Lydia: "He took my plate," she grumbled. What?? You were the one calling me names at first; another voice followed. Kelly You have to be the mature one here, okay? She is your sister in this house, and you must learn to love each other, ok? Love?? I can’t love him; he is my enemy! Mrs. Lydia was shocked at Kim’s response. Well, I don’t love you either, asshole. Kelly said. No! Not at all. You don’t use such words here. Okay, now I command you both to apologize! Sorry, Kim muttered with the gnashing of her teeth. I can’t hear you, Mrs. Lydia said. Sorry, okay, Kelly. I’m sorry!! She yelled That’s better, Mrs. Lydia said, and as for you, she said, pointing at Kelly. Sorry, Kim, he said. Now you both get inside. Mrs. Lydia said after scolding them. They both gave each other hard glares before storming out. Mrs. Lydia stood there in shock as she looked at the two kids. These are the most difficult children I’ve ever been with, she said to herself. The reason for their rivalry remains unknown. To whoever you are, raising these children to love and care for each other is like an impossible mission. They had been like this since the very first day they cycled through the year. Mrs. Lydia said to herself: She went inside with the children to make sure they didn't get into another fight. ——————- Kim’s P.O.V Kim is seen pacing from one end of the room to the other, talking to herself. I just hate him. Who does he think he is? He would always find a reason to pick on me. I won’t give up; I won't let him win. She said to herself as she paced in her room. Just then Emerald Kim’s best friend walked in and said, "What has he done this time, Kim?" I heard what happened. He started a fight with me yet again, Emerald, and Mrs. Lydia made us apologize to each other. She sighed and fell into bed. Kim and Emerald have been friends since they were a year old; they were roommates, and Emerald has always been there for her whenever she was in an argument with Kelly. But today she had just stepped out to the bathroom when she and Kelly had a fight. Emerald was just a week older than Kim and Kelly. Do you want to get revenge? Emerald asked? Are you seriously asking me that? Of course I’d love revenge, she said. Don’t worry when we are called for dinner tonight; just follow my lead, and we will get beautiful revenge. Emerald said with a smirk on her face. ——————- It was 7:00 p.m. when Mrs. Gretchen, the house cook, rang the bell, signifying that all the children should come for dinner. It is time, Emerald said. She got up and told Kim to come with her to the kitchen. They got there, and as usual, Mrs. Gretchen had served everyone’s food. They walked around as they searched for Kelly’s plate. They found it, took it, and poured lots of chili pepper on it. They left when they started hearing footsteps approaching. Soon all the children were lined up in single file as they were handed their plate of food. Kelly took his plate and went to sit down. On his way, he saw Kim and Emerald smiling at each other. He didn’t think anything of it; he just went to take a seat and enjoy his meal. Everyone was sitting down and eating their meal as they were observing table manners as they were being taught by Mrs. Lydia. In not less than 5 minutes, a loud scream was heard. They all followed the trace of the noise and saw that it was from Kelly’s table. He was jumping up and down while fanning his tongue and drinking water non-stop, shouting and screaming on top of his voice! The housekeeper came to his rescue as he brought a pack of ice blocks and placed them in his mouth. By this time, his beautiful, fair skin had turned red, his eyes were dim, and his lips were shaking. Mrs. Gretchen was surprised, as she didn’t understand why the other kids ate without complaining that she had tried the food before dishing it out for everyone to eat. She didn’t even put much chili pepper in, but she kept on wondering why Kelly had that result, so she thought to see for herself. She got up from where she was sitting and headed to Kelly’s table to try his food. When she did, the outcome was the same. Not long after, he saw Kim and Emerald giggling in a corner and knew that they were responsible for his predicament....
