2. Working Day

The first day of work made me surprised. The man who served as CEO in my new office was very similar to the alien man I met several years ago. It's just how is that possible? But what is impossible? He could brainwash humans and then take power and carry out a conspiracy to expand the power to destroy humans. Ruled the world, took its natural resources, and moved all his species here.

Good grief! That's terrible! I must be wrong, the guy just looks alike. But one thing is for sure, the visuals are very handsome. But I didn't see his purple irises. Liuz Raphael could be human, but how can they be so similar?

Questions started to arise in my mind, but in the end, I didn't care because someone called me.

“Clara Rose Anderson, are you a microbiologist?” asked a man wearing glasses.

"Yes, it is me. Are you Mr. Thomas, the leader of the micro laboratory?" I asked.

“Yes, I was the one who called you yesterday, welcome to join our laboratory. "I hope you will feel comfortable working here," said the man.

“Yes Sir, thank you. Am I starting work today?” I asked.

“Not today, we will only have a banquet today! Come with me, the microbiologist research team is gathered there! "I will introduce you to your colleagues," said the man with glasses.

Boxy shirt, uncombed curly hair, worn shoes, brown cloth trousers, skinny and wearing glasses. I feel that the appearance of the man named Thomas is quite messy for his position as head of the laboratory.

"Never mind, Rose! Don't judge someone by their appearance!" I muttered to myself.

Thomas invited me to join a group of people who were sitting at a long table and eating.

"Hi, Guys. She is Miss Clara Rose Anderson, one of the new researchers who will be joining our team!" said Thomas, introducing me.

Surprised faces were seen looking me up and down. I tried to smile at all of them, but my smile didn't seem to get a friendly response because, after seeing me, some of them went back to eating.

Maybe the people here don't want to think of new researchers like me. Maybe they are just too genius to be allowed to be arrogant. But I didn't want to care, I sat on a chair casually and started eating.

"Enjoy the food, Miss Rose. Soon we won't be able to eat in peace when the CEO comes here," said Thomas.

“CEO? What do you mean, Mr. Liuz?” I asked.

"Yes, he will come to all the research divisions one by one and start explaining his vision and mission. We will work very hard, Rose. Mr. Liuz is a workaholic," explained Thomas.

I was silent and curious at the same time. A man who is very similar to the Alien I once met on Mount Amba will come to my division soon. I started chewing my food. The seniors said we would have a lot of assignments later. So, at least for the first day, I have to eat a lot. That's what I gathered from what Thomas said.

I took the stuffed tortilla and chewed it. For some reason, it felt very dry, very unpleasant. I felt like I was going to choke, but I couldn't even find any water. There was the juice that looked thick, and several drinks that looked delicious but no water. Oh no! I need water.

"Are you okay, Miss Rose?" asked Thomas, realizing my behavior.

Before I could answer, someone handed me a glass of water and I quickly drank it. All eyes were looking at me, everyone eating with me at the long table seemed silent. Is it because they feel worried? But after I finished the water in the glass, I began to realize that their eyes were not focused on me but on someone standing next to me. Someone who gives me a glass of water when I need it.

"Sir, you have come," said Thomas, immediately standing up to greet him.

Liuz Raphael, stood straight beside me, making me gawk. I spontaneously stood up, following Thomas. Moreover, I was surprised when the CEO of the company where I worked approached me.

"Yes, I came here immediately after the speech," he answered in his deep voice.

I was still standing watching him closely. From a distance of 20 inches I could see the man very clearly. His hair, his face, his posture, I can't deny that this man is not the alien man he used to be. They are the same, only the eyes I see now are brownish black.

"Are you okay, Miss?" he asked me.

"I am okay, thanks for giving me water," I answered.

"Water is the source of life, I even almost died because I couldn't drink water," he said to me with a meaningful smile.

Ghost! What does it mean? Is he really that alien? He's trying to remind me of past moments? I can't be caught, with all my efforts I have to pretend to forget. He will brainwash me if he finds out that I remember him.

I just smiled and nodded without overreacting even though my legs felt very weak. What if this man had alien tendrils that then strangled me from behind? I don't even know whether Thomas and the others were influenced by him.

Wait a moment! It's not certain that this man is an alien, it could be that they just happen to look alike.

"Are you a new researcher, Miss? I'm Liuz Raphael, welcome to my company," he greeted friendly.

"Yes, Sir. "I'm Clara Rose Anderson, happy to be able to join your company," I said in reply officially.

The man stretched out his hand while looking at me. I automatically shook it but something strange immediately made the hairs on the back of my neck tingle. I feel electromagnetic energy radiating from his palm. I was surprised. I moved my hand, but he smiled and started tilting his head.

“Your face sure looks familiar, Miss Rose. Have we met?” he asked with a scary glance in his eyes.

The faces of the female staff looked misunderstood. I'm sure some of them felt there would be a scandal between the staff who seduced their superiors. They didn't know that my heart was pounding like I was meeting a ghost.

"No sir, I don't think so," I answered, not daring to look at his face.

The man no longer continued his questions, he just gave a short greeting to all his fellow researchers and said goodbye.

"Only that?" Thomas muttered in surprise.

"What's the matter, Sir?" I asked.

"Usually a Liuz Raphael will talk a lot, it's strange why he only said hello?" Thomas answered, increasingly surprised.
