Chapter 69 - Feeling Guilty

Alpha Leeno's eyes automatically have been fixed on Gerthel's eyes as he turned around after sensing her presence. It was as if the world suddenly stopped evolving. His wolf howled inside, wanting to get it. He could feel the mate pull, drawing him too close, suffocating him until he could no longer control his feelings and his feet sprinted to approach her quickly.

"Hey, it has been a while. Gerthel, it is nice, I mean, I am glad you allowed me to enter your home," smiling broadly, Alpha Leeno said, as he and Gerthel stood face to face, a few inches away from each other.

Gerthel’s eyebrow lifted automatically as she heard the statement of Alpha Leeno. She held out a sinister look toward him, before she spoke with forced calmness. “Don’t you forget Alpha Leeno, you were able to enter my home because you threatened that you will kill our guards and our farmers. Now, let me get this straight, you already rejected me and I was not able to accept such rejection during that time. Hence, let me accept your rejection now and let all things between us be closed like a book never to be opened again.”

“No! I won’t accept your acceptance as I am going to take back now the rejection I made months ago. I, Alpha Leeno Treeton, herein withdraw the rejection I made to my mate, Grethel Maurii. I am accepting her as my mate, and will be my mate until death does us part!” The voice of Alpha Leeno was full of conviction, and Gerthel was shocked. She felt the rising of her blood and the sudden excitement of Thella, her wolf.

All of a sudden, the calm voice of Boss Dar entered her mind, saying he will be coming back to the farm as fast as he could. It was like a cube of ice that broke the sudden shock that overwhelmed her.

“No! I, Gerthel Maurii, reject you, Alpha Leeno Treeton as my Mate! From now on, I am freeing you from any mate bond that we still have!” she said in a loud and firm voice. Alpha Leeno was the one shocked this time.

Thella, her wolf, suddenly sighed in despair. “He was our real mate, Gerthel,” Thella, murmured, and Gerthel’s mind caught her whispered words.

“Nonsense, Thella. He already rejected us before. We have our second chance mate, a better one,” Gerthel retorted in her mind, to which Thella replied with another deep sigh.

Gerthel took a deep breath before looking at Alpha Leeno again and shutting off her mind from Thella. “Please live happily without me Alpha Leeno. You were able to do that after rejecting me, I am sure.” She darted her with an emotionless look and was about to turn her back on him but he grabbed her and enclosed her with his strong arms pinning her onto his wide and well-muscled chest. Before Gerthel could move, she already felt his lips crashing into hers. She tried to push him, but his muscled arms were as hard as steel, enclosing her.

At the door, one of Boss Dar's men was about to enter the living room but suddenly turned frozen as his eyes caught the kissing scene between Gerthel and the man they believe as their enemy.

Gerthel's body stiffened as Alpha Leeno's kisses deepened. She could not deny that the man has still an effect on her, their mate pull was not yet completely disconnected.

Remembering Boss Dar however Gerthel's eyes widened, and with all her strength she moved her right knee up, hitting hard Alpha Leeno's manhood.

"Oh, shit!" Alpha Leeno exclaimed in pain. He did not expect that Gerthel would hit him like that and worst, her hard knee hit his manhood. He felt the rush of sudden pain in his genitalia that his arms around Gerthel's body completely loosened up.

"Please just accept my rejection, go, and leave me alone, Alpha Leeno. I don't need you and most of all, I hate you. I hated you on that day that you rejected me and killed the three important people in my life," Gerthel said while controlling her wolf, Thella from its struggle to come out and overruled her decision.

Alpha Leeno who was still in pain, looked at Gerthel fiercely. "I do not easily give up Gerthel. We are mates and you are destined for me," he then said before he turned his back on her and got out of her house.

Feeling weak, Gerthel slowly sat on the sofa and released the tears that she kept from falling a while ago while Alpha Leeno was still around.

She has mixed feelings.

Whispering the name of Boss Dar, she felt guilty about having been kissed by Alpha Leeno just a while ago.

"Are you alright, Ms. Gerthel?" The guard who saw Alpha Leeno kissing Gerthel approached the latter.

Gerthel looked up and nodded. "I am alright. Tell your group to guard more and never allow any of those men who came today to get inside our premises again. They are enemies," she said softly.

"Yes, Ms. Gerthel. Right away. If you will excuse me now," politely, the guard said and left after Gerthel motioned for him to go.

Gerthel returned to her room. Once inside, Thella , her wolf inside her, roared like she was in pain.

"I am sorry, Thella. I cannot accept our first mate. He ruined my life at the onset that we saw each other. He killed Karla and her parents. Worst, I was not able to help them at that time. You were not yet with me at that time and I was just a weak human then. Until now, I could not even take avenge for them," with a sad tone, Gerthel murmured, and Thella as a reply made a long sigh as if still howling.

"Our first mate did not accept yet your rejection. How could we consider Boss Dar as our second chance mate if our first mate is still living and our mate bond is still existing." It was Thella, her wolf, who spoke through her mind, after making such a long sigh.

Gerthel disagreed with her wolf. "He might be our first mate Thella but the one with whom I mated physically was Boss Dar. The mate bond that Boss Dar and I is deeper than that mate bond with Alpha Leeno, which at the onset he has deprived me of."
