Ella
FEW DAYS EARLIER.
"Hello, Ella. I need you to pick. What's up with you? Are you ignoring my calls or what?"
Chuck kept on disturbing me on a good Friday morning. He left me various voice mails ordering me to pick up when he calls.
I don't blame him though, I know I'm a bit rebellious.
"Hello Chuck I saw your messages, I'm here now. What's going on?"
"Oh, after how many hours you choose to call me, right?"
"Chuck you know it's Friday and I work on Fridays."
"Oh wow, what a convenient excuse."
Chuck my childhood friend and sweetheart, has been getting on my nerves lately. Looking back now, I think it would have been better if we had just remained as best friends.
"Are you done with work now?"
"Not really Chuck. I still have some paperwork and compiling to do." I said to him.
"When will you be done?"
"I don't know Chuck."
"Ella, don't you want to see me?"
"I sure do, but not now."
Chuck and I went back and forth on the phone till we decided to meet Friday night.
"Who was that?" Asked Jill.
"Who else?" I smirked.
Jill laughed at me.
"But why did you guys not stay friends? You know sex can make relationships go weird."
"I myself can't tell exactly how I got into this mess. My mom kept pushing me to accept Chuck as more than a friend for years. I have finally done so now, but I regret my actions."
"I understand girl, sometimes parents just don't get it."
"Chuck and I had been best friends since toddlers, and we were perfectly fine. But when we started dating, things got so bad between us that I needed an escape."
"But what exactly happened?" Jill asked.
"I don't know, I just grew so bored of him, I realized he wasn't the kind of person I wanted as my man. Don't get me wrong Jill, he's not a bad lover, but he's not just for me."
"Girl, I understand you" Jill was holding my hands.
"Now I feel like a bad person. Sex with Chuck is so boring and without spice. Girl, do you understand?"
"Of course I do." Said Jill.
"I just want an escape, like a night of remarkable, hot steamy sex. Just one night, dear Lord, I promise just one good night and I will go back to being a good girl.
"Awn"
"Yes, Jill I just want to be laid so badly and fk like a b*h."
Just then, Mr Maxwell walked past us and I salivated.
"Ohh," I thought. I was feeling warm already down there.
"One Night," I thought.
Jill watched my eyes. "I see you have eyes for our boss."
"What!"
"Oh yes, Ella."
"Oh girl, please stop."
"What are you girls talking about this time? Get back to work now." Said Amy, our supervisor.
**
Later that night, I did not show up for our date. Chuck was so angry at me.
I needed to break things off with him rather than make him complain all the time.
We settled though and agreed to meet on Saturday night.
"Girl you moved the date?"
"Oh yes, I did."
"Why are you like this?" Jill asked, laughing.
"Break up with this guy already."
"Yes, I plan to do that on our date, Saturday night."
"Girl you are wicked!"
"You can say that again Jill, you can say that again."
SATURDAY NIGHT
I wore my sexiest dress. A glittering dark blue gown. It has a huge slit at the thighs, and it is so hugged by my body that you can see my full figure.
My boobs were also all almost out. I completed my outfit with a matching bag and heels.
I had no idea why I decided to dress like this but I did anyway.
My phone rang and I picked up. It was Jill.
"Hey babe."
"Hey. What's up with the happy mood? Ohhh the date, right?"
"Shut up Jill," I said, giggling.
"Anyway, don't forget to take condoms with you."
"Jill!!!!"
"Oh yes, say my name, and yes Ella, the survey tomorrow morning... please don't forget."
"Okay, babe till tomorrow."
"Sure."
I hung up my phone.
I took a cab and stopped at the bar Chuck had picked.
He was dressed in a drab and I was immediately turned off.
"What is this?" I thought in my mind.
He was wearing a faded jean and an equally faded red top that had the logo of a soda brand that no longer exists.
He had on a face cap. A red face cap!
I was really alarmed. We haven't met for weeks and this is the best he could do for me in terms of appearance.
"Hey, baby. I have missed you." He pulled close to me to give me a hug.
I turned my face away disinterested. He must have noticed it.
"So what's up?"
"Nothing."
"What do you mean nothing?"
"Nothing, nothing is nothing," I said with anger.
"Ella, what's up with you? What are all these attitudes? There's nothing I can ever do to please you. Why are you so difficult?"
"Chuck, I'm so not interested in any Hassle this evening, okay."
"What do you mean, Hassle? Ella, you are the one making this relationship a hassle. I do everything for you, but you make things difficult for me."
"Are you crazy Chuck? I am the one making this relationship a hassle, right? While you never do anything wrong? Really Chuck?" I fired back at him furiously.
There was a tense silence.
"Ella. Did you just insult me? Did you just call me Crazy?"
I felt guilty. I was really giving this man a hard time......
