Chapter 4

ROYALS SPA..

It was a new life for Jenna Hills now, — one of artifice and duplication. She stared at the mirror, seeing her new self. The artists have been working on her for about two hours now, trying to make her imitate Alessia in the picture Bryan had dropped.

To evade suspicions, Bryan had driven her to a far away artist shop since Alessia was quite popular in nearby spas and Bryan had to use a face cap and nose mask.

Her face still remained the same though but she had to dress like a female, contradicting the tomboy dressing that she was used to. Her hair was well trimmed and her hand was given a star shaped tattoo.

“You look good ma'am” The artist complimented and Jenna only rolled her eyes, picking up the picture on the dressing table.

She stared at it for the umpteenth time.

“Why am I feeling so drawn to you?” she questioned silently, using her thoughts to communicate.

“Where’s Bryan?” she suddenly asked, raising her head up.

“The man that you came with? He left immediately after he dropped you off” one of the ladies said to her and her arms dropped.

“How am I supposed to remain here all alone?” she exclaimed and sighed in frustration.

“We need to teach you how to walk properly with the heels ma'am” another of the workers said and though Jenna wanted to refuse due to her dislike for feminine wears but she needed she had no choice than to agree.

“Fine” she rolled her eyes, slipping Alessia's picture into her bag.

A BAR…

Could anything be more bothersome than the guilt of eliminating one's life?

Bryan couldn't bear the guilt and the worry of having a corpse at home!..

“What if her mother goes to her house, she's familiar with her daughter's pass code remember?” Stephen, his best friend asked.

Stephen worked as a bartender in their location and he's the only friend Bryan asked. They actually agreed to meet after Bryan told him of the incident.

“I changed it” Bryan sighed, drinking from the third alcohol bottle.

“Stop taking advantage of your high tolerance to alcohol!" Stephen scolded, collecting the bottle from him. Bryan groaned.

“How could you have done that? I thought you loved her!” Stephen reprimanded and Bryan sighed, digging his fingers into his hair.

“I sincerely do and you know it. She provoked me” He said, he concealed the fact that he was trying to get the whereabouts of the safe box though.

“What could she have done to deserve her death?” Stephen asked, increasing Bryan's frustration with his endless questions.

“I really didn't intend on causing her death, I never knew the hit could end her life just like that” He said, closing his eyes in frustration.

“Listen, I need to get her corpse out of the house tonight but I need her body to get a silicone mask” He said, digressing and speaking inaudibly due to the presence of people around.

“And what's delaying you?” Stephen raised a brow.

“An artisan of course, I have no contact with any” Bryan replied, sharply.

“My uncle..” Stephen said and his eyes widened.

“I didn't think of that” he flashed a short smile.

“But there's a problem, we can't get the mask within three days. It will take a month” Stephen said and Bryan shook his head sideways.

“I need it urgently and you know it, the wedding can't be postponed!” he panicked and Stephen hummed for a while.

“We’ll be needing a huge amount then to gather as many workers and machines as possible to hasten up the process” He finally spoke and Bryan nodded in agreement.

“That isn't a problem, Alessia's debit card is with me,” Bryan replied.

“Aren't her family members coming anytime soon? What do you do when they do?” Stephen asked curiously.

“None of them are in town, her mother recently traveled too, asides her friends though”

“They shouldn't be a problem right?” he added and Stephen shrugged.

“Let's contact your uncle” Bryan said impatiently and brought out his phone from his pocket.

“Of course not. It's not a phone conversation, we have to go see him!” Stephen said, snatching his phone and Bryan heaved a breath.

“Then let's go, now!” he said standing up quickly.

“The lady at the spa?” Stephen asked, referring to Jenna whom Bryan had told him of.

“She can't go anywhere” Bryan assured with certainty obvious in his voice.

“I need to go seek permission from my boss then, a minute please” Stephen said, excusing himself. He returned a few minutes later, without his apron and without hesitation, the duo walked out of the bar.

“I’ll do the driving” Stephen said and they both sauntered into the car.

“Wait..” he suddenly said while remembering something. Bryan raised a brow, anticipating his next words.

“We need to go get her corpse first” Stephen said and Bryan nodded in realization.

“Right, drive to her house then” he said and immediately, Stephen turned on the car's engine, driving out of the compound in a rush.

“Increase your speed, I wouldn't want the cops chasing after us, I removed the plate number, remember?” Bryan said after two minutes of the drive and Stephen nodded, increasing his speed immediately.

They got to the house about an hour later and highlighted immediately. Luckily, the house was located in a secluded area so there weren't many houses around, even if there were, not many people stayed outdoors.

“Don't let your emotions control you!” Stephen reprimanded seeing Bryan's teary-eyes. He nodded as they walked into the bathroom.

“She's still so warm” Stephen said surprisingly, feeling Alessia's temperature in the bathtub.

“I guess that's normal, besides she isn't

breathing anymore” Bryan said and with a macabre choreography, they reached in and grabbed her limbs.

Stephen hoisted the corpse's shoulders while Bryan lifted its legs as they heaved it from the tub, carrying it into a white sack lying open on the floor. The sack's fabric rustled as they zipped it giving a death knell sound.

“It's fine, let's go” Stephen said, noticing Bryan's emotions and he nodded, bending over to carry the sack with him.

“The cameras?” Stephen suddenly asked on getting to the main door.

“They haven't been functioning for a week now” Bryan said and Stephen muttered a simple reply before they finally opened the door.

“Peep out.” Bryan whispered and Stephen nodded, looking around to see if anyone was around.

“It's safe” Stephen replied and immediately, they carried Alessia's corpse, moving out of the house without hesitation…

There wasn't an extra time for the opening of the booth so they dropped her in the backseat, closing the car door immediately.

They sauntered into the car's front seat, while Stephen settled behind the wheels. All thanks to the tinted windows, no one could see the contents in the car..

Immediately, Stephen drove off..
