Chapter 10

Audrey took Alfan to the supermarket and taught him how to shop for a few items. She also took her son to the city's transportation system to get him used to it. After all, Alfan sometimes walked faster than a normal human and she could tell her son was in danger if his friends noticed.

"This is called a train, usually taken if you want to go to a city or to places where there is access to crossings. Usually the airport or some other places and boarding it is only by using the station, we can't intercept it on the side of the road because if we want to take a train ticket we have to buy it first."

Alfan understood all of his mother's explanations as he looked at what she had noticed. From the look on his face, it was clear that he was quite amazed by the splendor of the infrastructure of the nation's capital, which was very sophisticated and made him feel more modern. In the wolf world they would not find this kind of thing because they would live according to their culture and habits without any modern mixtures.

They even used real gold money to exchange valuable things from other clans, buy medicines and everything else that was pertinent to the situation.

Exploring the town and eating some of the food for sale, Audrey and Alfan were having a great time while the man who was sitting on his haunches could no longer do anything but smile at the picture of his son and wife playing around at the moment.

He saw it by using the eye-contact technique, that way he could only see how his son and wife were because all this time he had also been away from the woman and never once knew the existence of his child already conceived by the woman. Android's rejection at this time is quite a dawn for you because she knows how painful it is to see her tired of having an affair with another girl. He knew that what the woman was doing must be healing her own heart, Audrey's name was fine and their child was also given from love so Aldrick didn't want to worry about things either.

Aldrick took a deep breath, focusing on healing himself even if it came to nothing. She was still standing there with her cheerful and happy face and it made Aldrick really follow the war so that everything could go smoothly.

"I want to get well soon so I can go back to get them."

In the end, all he wanted was the greatest hope. However, his recovery was a difficult thing for him to obtain because he had found nothing particularly difficult and had no healer other than Audrey herself.

Aldrick was holding back, he should at least be able to restore a little bit of his ability to be able to control his clan that was in a period of repair. He didn't want to just sit here while his men and followers had to do it all while they were still recovering from the war.

"I don't know how I'll get the cure but I'm sure I can do it."

Regret was the biggest thing he felt right now. Aldrick knew that his regret was a futile thing so now he only wanted to do something that had no clarity whether it would be forgiven or not.

"Mommy, today was fun."

Audrey smiled at that and gently rubbed her son's head.

"Let's do it again sometime, there's still plenty of time. Mommy will drop you off and pick you up every day at school, so we'll do something customized. We'll take a different vehicle every day because Mommy will work from home and we'll have more time."

Alfan jumped with joy at this. "Then I'll put away my clothes for school and prepare some more supplies. Mommy just rest, Mommy is tired. I'm already full from eating out earlier so mommy doesn't need to bother cooking anymore."

Audrey smiled, looking at him who was already walking away towards the room cheerfully. She decided to go into her room and wash her feet to make them more comfortable, after which she grabbed a box and took out some of her medical equipment.

There were actually some insufficient materials here. She had tried to look for them because they were only available in the Aldrick wolf clan. While she had already severed all ties with the Werewolves, there was no hope of obtaining them easily.

"I have also decided not to go back, these medicines lack ingredients if they are to be formulated. If I force the ingredients that are lacking then the results will not be maximized. Besides, it will only destroy the existing ingredients.

It would be a shame to force it because the ingredients will be used too much, they are quite rare and I can't afford to waste them."

Audrey sighed and picked up her cell phone. She searched the internet for a flower that might exist like the one in the wolf clan. But she couldn't find the name of the flower because it didn't exist in the human world. If she returned now to that clan, it would destroy her principles. She could not carelessly do something unclear while she had a high status that could decide things.

"What can I do to heal this remaining wound?"

Audrey sighed softly and looked at her face in the mirror. She did not know how to behave, she had also rejected Aldrick's arrival, otherwise it would have been easy for her. However, the heartache in her chest was not easy to heal, Audrey could not possibly violate her own principles and do something to accept that man while she herself was suffering.

"Never mind, I'm sure I can live just fine with these remaining wounds. There won't be any problems, everything should be safe and won't be a problem."

Audrey closed the box, she placed it under the bed before lying down and closing her eyes. She knew that here she had no one but herself.

"At least I have to survive for Alfan's sake, until he grows up and has a good life. If so, I'm sure I'll be able to handle the rest, if he doesn't depend on me anymore then I'll be able to leave as well. It's only a few years away, I'm sure I can survive."

They lived their days in peace and Aldrick never came again after that. They never saw each other because Audrey didn't have access to him even if she wanted to and Aldrick was also still inside his clan and palace, he deliberately didn't come out and today he showed himself and saw the progress of his clan which had improved.

The defense of the fortress made by Audrey before she left was something that the Werewolf soldiers admired and guarded well. At least it was very strong and able to withstand external attacks.

"She expended as much energy as possible to provide protection for this clan, then afterward she gave birth to my child and lived alone without any help from anyone. I know you must not be doing well because there's no way you could have withstood that even if you had that much power inside you."

Aldrick knew that Audrey must not have had it easy. Couldn't he meet that woman he didn't see any difficulty on her face and he didn't see that she needed help and assistance. She was just being a strong woman for their son and didn't even care about what life would bring.

"Luna... I can only hope that your heart will someday melt and accept me."

That was the only hope she could have. He knew he wasn't trying hard enough but right now he couldn't impose his own will. He would still see his son and his wife later, if he could as often as he could. However, it was all too difficult if he did not have the strength because he had to cross the boundary between the Wolf clan and the human world. That required great skill and strength and he didn't have any at the moment because he was under the curse.

"Alpha... Your body is still recovering, it's best to sit down to watch the progress of the clan. There's no need to stand up all night."

Aldrick sighed, sitting on the chair brought by one of his subordinates before closing his eyes and concentrating all the thoughts he could control. He just wanted to get well soon and this suffering was too much for him to bear.

Gazing at the others, he found only himself weak there. While his followers and men were the strong ones. He used to be able to protect them now they had to protect him if they suddenly had to face an incoming enemy.

In the worst times like this he didn't even meet Emily, that woman really betrayed him and became one of the spies who made him feel so stupid. That woman came just to break his mind and not make him focus on the war so that he could lose badly and his people would suffer. But he didn't realize it at all until all this destruction.

"Why would I be so stupid as to make trouble to get a higher position than me right now? If I had united with Audrey, it would have been easier for me to destroy them. Surely none of this would have happened and surely this breakup wouldn't have been possible either.

It turns out that she came into my life a long time ago and only wants to be a troublemaker. She is an insolent woman and I will take my revenge on her once I get all my strength back!"

Aldrick closed his eyes and sighed softly. All that... he didn't know when he would get it.
