The Innocent Mermaid

Keith took Sheera to his apartment in the London City, clearly not a luxury apartment equipped with number one facilities. Only four-story buildings that looked worn out and quite old were called flats.

Sheera looked at the old building which was far beyond her expectations. She, who had lived in Jacob's magnificent palace in the middle of the forest for several days, was confused by Keith's life which was in reverse.

"What are you looking at? Are you going in or not?" Keith asked curtly as if he could read Sheera's mind, knowing his very simple residence.

Keith lives on the fourth floor and his room is right at the very corner. When he tried to open the door to his room, two mice came out and ran from inside his messy room.

"Tch, you damn rat!" He muttered irritably. It had been two months since he had left his flat like this and he had not expected it to be this dirty.

Sheera didn't say anything, she didn't even protest at all. However, Keith immediately suspected him and thought that Sheera looked down on him and thought of him as a poor man.

"What do I want to say?"

"N-no, I didn't say anything!" Sheera denied. She didn't understand why Keith was so easily suspicious of her.

Even though she had tried to avoid it so that Keith wouldn't become even more annoyed with her, Keith still took her innocent face as a form of insult. He never brought a woman into his dirty flat, never and Sheera was the first woman he let into his private space. Of course, he had to do this because he had already promised Jacob that he would definitely bring Sheera back to her family.

"Tch, damn it! Why do I have to promise such unnecessary things?" He thought. But as a man, it was impossible for him to break the promise he had made.

Keith stepped into his small and quite narrow room. In the living room, there was a battered sofa with a dusty table, cupboard and TV as well as additional bread crumbs and potato chips that he accidentally put on the table when he last watched TV two months ago and left his house before he had time to clean it.

"Wow..." The innocent Sheera was amazed when she saw TV for the first time. She was also amazed when Keith opened the balcony door to let fresh air into his room. Sheera followed him and looked so happy because she could see the view of the city from a high place.

"Amazing!"

"What's so amazing? "What's so amazing? What village in the middle of nowhere are you from?" Keith just shook his head and decided to clean his house.

He had invited a guest and like it or not he had to act as a good host who at least had a clean and comfortable house.

Sheera jumped and danced as a child when she saw two birds perched on the balcony pillar. The birds even looked at her in confusion as if they couldn't believe that there were humans who looked so enthusiastic when looking at them.

"Keith, what is that?" She asked while pointing at the TV belonging to a neighbor who lived in the flat opposite.

"That's a tv, I have one too!"

"Really? Can I see it?" She asked with sparkling eyes like an adorable puppy.

It seemed quite difficult for Keith to refuse Sheera's request. He was forced to turn on his old TV and let Sheera see it. When the TV was turned on, Keith set the remote to change the TV channel. Sheera who was enthusiastic, stood right in front of the TV with her eyes facing directly at the TV.

"Hey, get out of there! You can't watch from that close!"

"Why?"

"Why what? You'll ruin your eyes, you idiot!"

"My eyes are good!" Sheera turned to Keith who was standing two steps behind her, smiling gently.

Keith was silent, for a few moments he was quite fascinated by Sheera's beauty. He had to admit that Sheera was very beautiful. Her brown hair hangs down in waves until it reaches her waist, her eyes are green with a bluish tint. Her body is small, perhaps no more than 160 cm tall, but her body shape is very sensual and beautiful.

"Damn, what was I thinking just now?" He thought. Keith hated to admit that he had just been fascinated by the beauty of the young woman he invited to his house.

Without realizing it, Keith changed the TV channel which was showing a free wrestling match which was a rebroadcast of the match held last week. The wrestling match featured him as one of the participants.

Sheera's eyes widened, she was surprised to see Keith on TV, fighting in the ring and watched by many people. Realizing that Sheera had seen his appearance on TV, Keith hurriedly changed the TV broadcast. Once again Sheera looked back, looking at him in confusion.

"What? What did you see?"

"J-just now I thought I saw someone who looked a lot like you fighting," she said doubtfully. She doesn't know anything about the real world.

"No one looks like me, that guy is me!"

"Huh? R-really? B-but how come there are two of you?"

"What are you saying?"

"Y-you're here with me, b-but you're also in this strange box-"

"TV!"

"Yeah, t-tv. How can you be in two different places?" Sheera tried hard to explain what she meant. This was truly beyond her knowledge. She didn't know that humans could do miraculous things too.

Keith looked at Sheera's confused face for a moment before finally breaking out into laughter at Sheera's natural, innocent behavior. He didn't understand how there could be someone who didn't know the world to this extent?

"Hahaha..."

"W-why are you laughing? What's so funny?"

"Hahaha...how can there be two of me you say? Hahaha...my gosh, my stomach hurts so much!" Keith was still laughing. Sheera felt confused and embarrassed. She didn't know where she went wrong because for her this was really strange.

"N-never mind, stop it!"

"Hahaha..."

The more she asked Keith to stop laughing, the louder Keith burst into laughter. Sheera who was annoyed, immediately approached Keith and stood in front of him.

"Stop it, don't laugh anymore! What's so funny?"

"You're the funny one, you idiot! You're so funny."
