Chapter 4
I knew it was a bad idea to go out with Bree. But I did either way. We were in the club and she was off somewhere I did not know.
I sat at the bar as I continued ordering for glass after glass of drinks. I was really tipsy and I knew it but I just couldn't seem to get past the ache in my chest.
Something told me to stop, it wasn't safe but I didn't listen. I just wanted to drink my sorrows away.
So there I was, clad in a short and shiny red dress that hugged my curves and clung to my body like a second skin. It had a dangerously low back and revealed way too much cleavage for my own good. I looked hot. Bree had made sure.
I looked around lazily. I saw a guy approaching me and I made a weird face at him. The smile on his face creeped me out. I could not hide my disgust but he didn’t seem to care as he approached me.
Like a knight in shining armor, someone bumped him out of the way and my oh my, I was stuck. He did it so smoothly, that even I wondered if it really was intentional. He closed the remaining gap between us and my eyes were stuck to his body. He was hot.
I licked my lips and most of the night became a blur. I remember there was endless flirting, I vaguely remembered when we started to make out. I remember the cool breeze nipping at my skin. I remember feeling the softness of the bed on my back. I remember how he sucked my pussy and ate me out like I was his last meal. I remember his hot strokes as he fucked the living daylight out of me.
But for the life of me, I just could not remember his face or his name. I woke up with no clue at all in the middle of the bed of an empty hotel room. The shower was on but I made my way out of there as fast as my feet could, it was way too embarrassing.
I regretted it.
The pleasure I felt was unmatched to anything I had ever felt and I did not even know this guy's name.
Bree did not let me hear the end of it.
But I eventually made her promise to say nothing about it when we traveled. I didn't want to be stuck on the unknown dude that fucked me like there was no tomorrow. I wanted to connect with people and have as much fun as I possibly could. With that thought, I locked the experience in a corner of my mind. I needed to let it go.
For the past few days, we had been planning non stop. Packing dresses, bikinis, shorts, crop tops… I don't know one thing we did not pack. One would even think it was more than three weeks that we planned to spend there.
But even with all the preparation, it still didn't stop us from wasting so much time on the morning we were supposed to leave. We had to do a lot of last minute packing and the whole apartment was absolute chaos.
Not until we were settled in the car that drove us to the airport was I able to breathe properly again.
"Shit! I forgot my sunglasses!" Bree exclaimed and I groaned.
"I handed it to you Bree. How the hell did you even-" My words hung in my throat as Bree's eyes darted to the top of my head. I narrowed my eyes at her. I knew exactly what she had in mind.
Right as she looked back at me, I grabbed the glasses that sat on my hair and held it tightly in my hands.
"No" I said, before she could even say anything.
"Oh, come on!" She coerced and I shook my head.
"Absolutely not! It's not my fault you forgot yours" I said and she huffed.
"Yes, yes but look at me. My eyes are red" she said and I rolled my eyes.
"It's not my fault you decided last night was perfect for partying" I said as I crossed my arms over my chest, my eyes momentarily darting to the road as it breezed by really fast. It was as if the driver could sense the urgency. If he doesn't hurry, we just might lose our flight and he might lose his job, given the fact that Bree's dad sent him to us.
"Ugh, just help me out. You don't even need yours. I do. Look at my eyes" she reasoned and I turned to look at the same eyes I had seen way too many times since she woke up this morning.
She had suddenly decided she needed to go partying last night and had gone out with a few of her friends. She came back at three am, only for me to wake her by seven o'clock. What she needed was sleep.
"You need sleep, not glasses" I voiced my thoughts and she pouted with her famous puppy eyes.
Now, Bree had a dozen sunglasses in her luggage but I knew it would be a hassle trying to get to them.
I groaned as I stretched my glasses to her.
"Fineee, take it" I said and she squealed.
"Thank you!" She exclaimed and I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever" I murmured as she grinned from ear to ear, it was almost contagious.
"I'll give you those Dior ones you love so much when we land" she said and my eyes widened and I wasted no time in mirroring the grin she had on.
"Really?" I asked and she nodded.
"Yes" she affirmed and I squealed.
"Oh, I should make sure you forget your stuff more often if this is how you thank me" I teased and she rolled her eyes.
"Don't push it" she said and we both laughed.
We made small talk as the driver hurried to our destination.
Bree had me hooked in a conversation about some guy that tried to hit on her in the club and how she had to deal with his fish breath.
I gagged most of the time but it was very funny to listen to her and watch the disgusting expressions on her face.
"We're here" The driver's voice suddenly cut into our conversation and that was what drew my attention back to our surroundings.
"We're… here?" I questioned as I looked around in confusion.
I turned to Bree who was already opening the door on her side.
"Where are we?" I asked and she raised a brow.
"The airport, of course" she said before she got out of the car.
Well, yes. She was right. We were at an airport but this wasn't the airport I was used to. This one was quiet and basically empty, save for a few workers.
What even stood out to me even more was the large jet that was a few safe feet away from where the car was parked.
I got down and walked to where Bree stood as the man brought out our luggage.
"Bree, what's going on?" I asked and she turned to look at me, her face questioning.
"Uhhh… we're about to board?" She asked and I frowned.
"Board where?" I asked and realization crossed her features.
"Oh!" She exclaimed, before she gestured towards the same jet that had my attention earlier.
"That's our ride" she said and I froze.
She said it so casually, I was sure I heard her wrong.
"W-what?" I asked and she grinned.
"That's our ride. One of my dad's private jet" she said as three men walked towards us.
"One of- priva- what?!" I was shocked and if it was not obvious by my stuttering, my mouth that was wide open did justice to that.
I swallowed and closed my eyes to snap back. When I realized what she meant, I turned to her with a questioning face.
"Your dad owns private jets?! How am I just knowing this? Oh my goodness" I said and she shrugged.
"It's not a big deal," she said, looking genuinely unfazed.
Before I could say another word, the men, dressed very formally, stopped in front of us.
"Miss Miller, it is a pleasure to welcome you and your friend aboard" he said as they both collected our luggage.
"Thank you" Bree grinned and I gave a polite smile.
"This way, please" he said as they led us into the jet.
I sucked in a breath as we stepped in.
Bree scoffed.
"Just don't let my dad see you with that face. It will inflate his already tall ego" she said and I nodded absentmindedly, basically drowning every detail of the interior.
"He should have the tallest ego" I said and she scoffed again.
We settled in and I looked at Bree.
"I'll never forgive you for keeping me in the dark about this" I said and she laughed.
"Whatever, Andy" she said as the pilot informed us that we were ready for take off.
