Chapter 1 Cheating

"Roman, who do you love more, me or Abigail?"

"Of course, it's you, baby. Haven't my actions proved it enough?"

"But I want to hear you say it."

"Baby, you are the woman I love the most. Relax, you're too nervous."

The man's suppressed heavy breathing, mixed with the woman's seductive moans, quickly echoed in the hotel suite.

Abigail Martin stood outside the slightly open door, her blood almost freezing in her veins as the chilling cold caused uncontrollable tremors to course through her body.

An hour ago, someone sent her a video.

In the video, Abigail's fiancé, Roman White, was passionately kissing her half-sister, Jessica Martin, in the hallway of that very hotel.

She initially thought it was just a prank, but she didn't expect that these two had been together for a while.

She took a deep breath, trying hard to control her anger, and took out her phone from her pocket, silently pushing open the door.

The two people on the bed were still immersed in the thrilling pleasure. They suddenly heard a cold voice. "What a stellar performance. Shall I give you a round of applause?"

They didn't move, all looking towards the direction of the door.

"Ah!" Jessica screamed, panicking as she shrank into Roman's embrace. "Abigail? What are you doing here?"

Roman covered his body with a blanket, displeased. "Who let you in?"

Abigail crossed her arms and looked at him sarcastically. "If I hadn't come, I wouldn't have been able to see such an exciting scene."

"Abigail, Roman, and I are truly in love with each other; please understand and let us be together!"

Jessica's eyes turned red, tears welling up, looking innocent and pitiful.

Roman felt heartbroken, tightly protecting her in his arms. In a deep voice, he said, "Abigail, you can be angry at me, but Jessica is innocent!"

Abigail sneered. "Innocent? You're shameless."

"Enough! The person I love has always been Jessica. If you are aware of this, you should cancel our engagement with Grandma!"

He loved Jessica, a gentle and enchanting woman like her.

But Abigail was dull and conservative. She wouldn't even let him touch her. She was incredibly boring!

Being with Abigail, he couldn't feel any happiness!

Abigail narrowed her eyes, her gaze ice-cold. "You did cheat. Stop making excuses for yourself. I wonder if others would think you're innocent if I were to release the video of your affair?"

Roman and Jessica's faces turned pale, shouting, "Abigail, you better delete the video!"

"And what if I don't agree?"

Abigail took two steps back, provocatively lifting her chin towards the two of them.

"Roman, if you don't like me, you can break off our engagement openly. I don't have to marry you. The way you are now really disgusts me."

If Roman were to break off the engagement openly, maybe she would think he had courage.

Unfortunately...

"Abigail, stop right there!"

Watching Abigail walk away, Roman's anger burned, and he subconsciously wanted to chase after her.

But Jessica tightly held onto his waist, crying in distress.

"Roman, what should we do? Abigail must be mad at me. I shouldn't have liked you from the beginning. That way, I wouldn't have hurt Abigail."

Upon hearing this, Roman's heart filled with guilt and pity, unable to focus on finding Abigail.

He kissed Jessica's forehead and comforted her in a low voice, "Jessica, you are just too kind. If it weren't for her interference, maybe we would have been together a long time ago!"

"Roman, you are so good to me."

Jessica stared directly in the direction Abigail disappeared, a victorious smile on her face.

Abigail couldn't compete with her! It wouldn't be long before Jessica married into the White family!

When Abigail left the hotel, it was already pouring rain outside.

Endless darkness engulfed the city, with only lightning and dim streetlights faintly visible in the heavy rain.

Abigail stood in the rain, completely soaked.

Images of Roman and Jessica making love echoed in her mind, making her unable to control her nausea.

She hadn't eaten all day, and her stomach was hurting.

She forced herself to walk to the roadside and couldn't hold it any longer, slowly squatting down.

The cold rain beat against her smooth skin. The cold made her tremble uncontrollably.

She felt a little dizzy, unable to distinguish whether this was reality or a dream.

After an unknown amount of time, the rain hitting her body was gradually stopping.

Abigail slowly opened her eyes and saw a shadow in front of her.

She was a little confused, gradually lifting her gaze.

The first thing she saw was a pair of well-tailored trousers encasing straight legs.

Then, she saw a handsome face.

This man furrowed his brows slightly, not saying a word.

His black eyes looked at her as if he wanted to blend into the darkness of the night.

Abigail stared at him blankly, a bit surprised. "Mr. White? Why is it you?"

The man in front of her was Gregory White, the head of Aramore's top business conglomerate, the White family.

He was also her ex-fiancé, Roman's uncle.

Gregory was George White's son, and he possessed extraordinary business talent. Just a few years after taking over the White Group, its market value multiplied several times.

Gregory's most intimidating qualities are his approach to handling things and his decisive personality. However, he has always been mysterious and low-key, rarely interacting with me. Abigail has only seen him a few times at the White family gatherings, and they have hardly spoken to each other. Gregory gives off a dangerous vibe, so Abigail usually avoids him. She never thought she would run into him today, especially in such a chaotic state.

"What could be so important that you're not taking care of yourself?" Gregory raised an eyebrow slightly. His deep and rich voice was seductive, almost like an electric current drawing people in. There was also a hint of hidden concern in his words.

Abigail snapped back to reality and quickly got up, but her legs were numb from squatting on the ground for too long. Her body suddenly swayed uncontrollably, and she began to fall backward, thinking she would end up in an embarrassing fall. However, a pair of warm and strong hands suddenly caught her waist. The next second, she fell into a warm and wide chest.

Anxiously, she grabbed onto his shirt, afraid that she might fall on her own. At that moment, Gregory's deep voice sounded in her ear with a teasing tone, "Are you taking advantage of me?"
