Chapter 6 Give me a share

Even if he clearly wanted to skip the conversation, I wanted to ask him further about Miley, but the waiter served dishes one after another, so I haven't had a chance to talk. They were all exquisitely presented. The server didn't stop until the table was full, and I found that was a little too much, even though I have never seen so many expensive dishes at one place.

The other thing that bothered me was Mr. William's gaze, that I felt it scrutinising me all the time. His gaze had a profound meaning, but I couldn't describe what that was.

As he looked at me while I lowered my head, I couldn't help but think about the morning when I found him in his room, coming out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel only. I recalled the intense arousal that his sexy emitting hormones made me feel, how it made my heart race and my breath quicken. I picture my imagination back then, when I saw him with me under the shower, shamefully pleasing him.

To avoid my face reddening in embarrassment, I had to stop myself thinking of him.

As I reached for the teapot, my hand accidentally touched his, causing me to recoil, and feel the usual uneasiness. But it wasn't the unease that disturbed me, it was the spark that I felt while our skins were attached for that moment, and that just made me feel more flustered.

He, however, remained composed. He held the teapot and poured tea for me first. As he did that, my gaze wandered to his hand, staring at his long and fair fingers, his clear joints at his wrist, exuding a restrained sensuality.

Though one might resist with intellect, it seemed like I couldn't help but succumb to the instinctual desire for beautiful things.

I took a deep breath, hoping that would get me back to my senses, helping me control my feelings. I had another sip of my tea, and I was about to taste the food in front of me when I felt a little dizzy. After blinking a few times, I hoped it would help me, but I only felt dizzier. Not only that, but I started to see double, then my vision went blurry. I tried to focus, but instead of seeing clearly, my eyelids became heavy, and finally, I couldn't keep my eyes open. Everything went dark, eventually.

William's POV

I calmly drank my tea while she became unconscious. I took a fork to pick up a slice of raw beef. It was fresh and tender, just flown in. It was precisely how I liked it.

Just when he tasted the delicious meat, the door was pushed open, and the chef entered the room. He was thin and bald. When he got to the table next to me, he bowed deeply at a ninety-degree angle.

“Sir, have the ingredients arrived?” he asked.

I glanced at Sissy in the opposite chair. The chef walked to her and crouched down. He carefully checked her whole body, then he smiled in satisfaction.

“Sir, she looks mouthwatering.”

I nodded in agreement.

“I haven't seen such a delicious ingredient in a long time.” he said that, while his face showed true amazement.

“How would you like them prepared, sir?” The chef was apparently eager to try this excellent, rare smelling ingredient. Certainly, he thought, he could use any cooking method, the result would be delicious.

“Start by bleeding her, and figure out the rest yourself.” I told him coldly, then I sipped the red wine, rich and aromatic, that went perfectly together with the raw beef I just ate.

The chef clapped his hands, and suddenly two figures appeared in the room. Both had human bodies, but they had frog heads.

They stepped to the unconscious Sissy and lifted her up before they carried her out of the room.

The chef bowed again before he left the room, but just as he closed the door behind him, the door opened up once more. The tall man who we saw earlier stepped into the room. He walked towards the table and sat opposite me.

I stared at him while he lifted Sissy's cup to his nose and sniffed it.

“Delicious, truly delicious. Where did you find such a good ingredient? I can't resist the urge to eat it raw.” He talked to me in a daze. He licked his lips. His green tongue looked eery and grotesque, casting a lizard-like shadow on the wall.

I felt like I could tear him apart. I looked at him with a frown.

“Put away your ghastly appearance.” I tried to make him aware of my state, but he paid no heed. He was stupid enough to continue.

“How about sharing a bit with me? I haven't had such a delicacy in a long time.” He asked me, which made me lose my patience. He was annoying enough, but the fact that he dared to ask me to taste my food made me want to teach him manners that he wouldn't forget for a lifetime.

“How dare you ask for a share?” My true anger probably was apparent in my deep blue eyes.

“I… I have something to exchange with you.” He trembled in fear.

I remained indifferent, even if his terrified appearance made me satisfied. I only poured myself another glass of wine.

“What is there in this world that I don't have?”

The man in front of me was extremely greedy, as he couldn't wait for the answer.

“Angus, I know where Angus is.” He said. That was enough for me.

With a sweep of my eye, I lifted him up in the air, and I let him crush to the wall heavily.

I gripped his neck without moving, making him gasp for air, causing his large body to tremble uncontrollably.

“What do you think you are? How dare you disturb me whilst I am having dinner? How dare you negotiate with me?”
