Chapter 3 Scandalous woman

I had just finished my bath and discovered the clothes Andrius had left outside the door for me. I wore a long black dress, which was typically worn by older women. There was no bra, but luckily a panty was provided. I hesitated to open the door, as a specific question kept running through my mind.

“What if he heard me? What am I supposed to do? He’s such a kind-hearted person who’s helped me out, but then there’s me - me, who can’t help but feel a certain desire for his voice and appearance. It’s ridiculous, really!”

Initially, I was unsure of what to do, but after some contemplation, I opened the door. Upon entering, I was greeted by a dimly lit living room devoid of any sound or sight of anyone. I called out Andrius’ name, but my voice echoed back at me in response. Feeling a sense of unease, I took a seat on the gray couch beside a small glass table. As I sat, I noticed some magazines underneath the table and decided to take a look. However, upon inspecting the front cover of one of the magazines, I was filled with shame as I saw Andrius’ face staring back at me, reminding me of my earlier actions.

[Andrius Ethan Easton, the youngest billionaire business executive.]

“Andrius Ethan Easton, the youngest billionaire business executive,” I murmured, repeating the magazine’s statement.

As I sat engrossed in the latest issue of the magazine, the rustling of the paper echoed in the quiet room. Suddenly, my eyes caught an intriguing article that promised new information. As I read on, the article featured a question about his lover, and just as I was about to dive into his response, I felt a faint sound behind me.

As shivers ran down my spine, a sudden movement caught me off guard, causing my hand to flinch. I almost struck the person standing behind me, but I regained control of my reflexes just in the nick of time.

“I see you’re done taking a bath. I’ve instructed the guard to call the helpers back so that you won’t be alone here,” he spoke in a deep voice before clearing his throat. He moved from the back of the sofa to the kitchen and opened the large refrigerator. Selecting some meat and ingredients, it appeared he was planning to cook.

“Are there any foods that you are allergic to?” he inquired.

“Nothing.”

Once again, a long silence descended between us. I pondered over what to say next, but he didn’t seem like the talkative type. So instead of speaking up, I reached out for the TV remote that was resting on the table.

While I waited for him to finish his task, my eyelids began to feel heavy, and before I knew it, I drifted off to sleep. Suddenly, I was awakened by the gentle touch of someone’s hand on my cheek. As I blinked my eyes open, I was surprised to see him so close to my face. I couldn’t help but wonder if I had drooled in my sleep, but after a quick check, I let out a sigh of relief, knowing that I still looked presentable.

The smell of the food wafted towards me, blending with the fragrance of his cologne. The combination was strong, but not overwhelming. I was filled with a feeling of ease and familiarity, almost as if I had known him for a lifetime.

“Get up and have a meal. Your stomach has been emptied for a few days now. I prepared some Paella Valencia.”

‘Paella Valenciana? What’s that?’ I thought of asking, but I didn’t want to come across as ignorant. Hence, I merely nodded with an inquisitive look in my eyes.

It appeared he picked up on my curiosity and spoke, “It’s a nutritious rice dish.”

As I walked towards the bar counter, the aroma of fresh food drifted towards me, making my stomach growl in anticipation. I sat down on a high stool and noticed the smooth texture of the black marble surface beneath my fingertips. I picked up the spoon, feeling its cool weight in my hand, and took a bite of the warm, savory food.

Time seemed to slip away as I savored each mouthful. After an hour, Andrius appeared beside me and gestured for me to follow him. We ascended the stairs in silence, the sound of our footsteps echoing off the polished floors.

Finally, we stopped at the second floor, in front of the door on the end of the hallway. I placed my hand on the smooth brass doorknob, feeling its coolness against my skin. My heart raced with hope as I wondered what lay behind the door.

“You’re staying here now,” he said, eyeing me up and down. He paused at my chest, tightly shut his eyes, and then continued, “We’ll go to the mall tomorrow morning to get you some clothes.”

I understood why he made the comment, so I quickly crossed my arms over my chest with embarrassment. But he didn’t acknowledge my reaction and continued speaking. “My office is on the third floor. Feel free to knock if you require anything.”

“Thank you,” I murmured my gratitude, gazing at him with tender eyes.

He simply nodded and left as I tramped inside next.

Once inside, I found only an expansive cabinet with a mirror, leading me to believe it was a guest room. The ceiling and walls were bare, lacking any notable decorations. Exhausted from the recent tragedy, I crawled into bed and was immediately struck by how incredibly soft it was. My fatigued body quickly succumbed to sleep.

The next morning, I was rudely awakened by a loud thump on the door, followed by an incessant knocking. Rubbing my eyes, I struggled to make sense of the thunderous noise outside.

“Come out, Andrius! I know you’re in there! Why are you hiding from me, huh?!” screamed a woman.

“Miss Yulia, Mister Easton, isn’t here. He left early today,” informed the elderly woman’s voice.

“Don’t fuck with me, old woman! I know he is inside!”

I couldn’t bear it any longer, so I opened the door.

The moment the woman saw me, her eyes widened in surprise. She looked me up and down with a disgusted expression and pointed at me while speaking in an arrogant tone. “I bet that’s why the man left me hanging again. He found another girl on the road and offered her something cheap just to sleep with her.”

I remained silent and simply gazed at her in disbelief due to the sheer impoliteness of her words. Another young lady also stepped in to intervene and prevent the irrational woman from causing further disturbance.

“Miss Yulia, you should leave now. We can just inform Mister Andrius that you came by,” the newly arrived woman suggested.

“You’re such a bitch!” She yelled at me again. “Do you even realize that you’re not the only one he’s brought here? That Casanova has a habit of taking off the panties of the women he brings here. The next day, he acts as if he doesn’t even know them.”

As the woman kept expressing, I found it difficult to tolerate her words. I shot her a disapproving look while the two assistants stood by and watched. “Before you make baseless accusations, make sure you know the facts. If people are avoiding you, it’s best to leave them be. You need to learn to read the room and not come across as too desperate. Besides, it’s none of your business what role I play in Andrius’ life.”

I gestured with my hand, as if to signal her to give up. The girl appeared humiliated and scampered downstairs, with an indescribable expression.
