Chapter2:(Child)

Just like before, Tristan helped me with our projects and assignments. Almost everything I would do, he would do for me.

"Hello, Cat!" Darla suddenly stepped to my side. I put the five books I just bought at the library here earlier. The library here sells books, especially for students. Papa is already one of the sponsors for the requirements of this school, so every year, there are new books.

There is also a building laboratory. On those three floors, each room is full of computers. You will swipe your violet card on the side of its automatic door as payment, and you can use the computer all day. The violet card is purchased here. At least a few more people will be accessible here in the cafeteria if they have a violet card. Only a few students have it, and I am already among them.

During class, teachers collect cell phones and other gadgets. Each year has its school bus. Cars and bikes are not allowed, especially if you are a student, depending on whether you have a driver.

"Yes, Darla?" I wouldn't say I like Darla's habit. She's a bitch. Really a bitch.

She slung her Gucci bag neatly over her shoulder. I was envious. I took a deep breath and picked up the khaki Hermes bag.

She cleared her throat. "Where is your nerd best friend? Are you bored?"

"Cindy is not a nerd, Darla. She's a childhood friend."

"Whatever. Get out! You're blocking my locker. You might miss the school bus."

"I don't ride the school bus. I have my car and a driver. Excuse me."

I grinned and bit my lower lip because I knew Darla was annoyed with me again.

I was in our SUV when Dad called me.

"Hello, Dad!"

"I'm going to a meeting. Do you want to come along?"

I smiled. If there was the first man I loved in this world, it was PapaPapa. He dreams of being the daddy of all children. He gives me what I want and makes me happy. And for a change, I'm a good child for him.

"Dad? Where do you have a meeting?"

"To my partner. To Montenegro. We'll eat at the restaurant you want if you want, then. "

"Yes, Dad! I'm going home now."

"Yes, hija. I'll wait for you. Take care."

I did not go straight to Papa when I arrived at the mansion. I went straight to my room and searched for something nice to wear.

I pulled on the peach-colored dress. I took a half bath and wore it. I paired it with a white sling bag and combed my long hair.

In the living room, Dad is waiting for me. He smiled when he saw me.

"My baby is a grown woman now."

I frowned and hugged Dad. "Papa, I'm not a baby anymore."

"I know."

I was nervous during the ride until we reached the tower of Montenegro. Its interior is a mixture of gray and black. Before entering, a big 'M' will open for you, like the brand of their clan.

My hair stood on end as I looked at that brand. Black and intimidating, like how intimidated I was with Ezekiel.

I regret that I didn't bring Ezekiel's laminated collage pictures. If I get it, I can give it to him now.

We were with Papa's secretary when we entered the room. Just as there is, my heart pounded when I saw Montenegro's first child, Manuel. Ezekiel frowned as we looked at each other. I clung to Dad's elbow when I felt my knee shake.

I just learned that the four Montenegro's will talk to Papa today!

Don Juanito with his two sons Manuel and Ezekiel and his nephew Savier Montenegro.

"Good morning, Juanito. My unica hija, Catalina." Papa introduced me.

I smiled at them, not looking at Ezekiel.

"Hello."

He shook my hand. "She's so young and pretty, Jerry." He said to Papa.

Manuel also shook my hand, and Savier stood up and smiled. Ezekiel stood up last, and I accepted his hand.

When our hands came together, everything seemed to be in slow motion. It's like I want to picture our hands.

His fingers are big and long. My hand looks so small.

"Hija." Papa laughed when he saw my hold on Ezekiel's hand-lasted. Ezekiel sighed and sat down. Her cousin Savier coughed dramatically.

To my shame, I just sat down suddenly and bowed.

I listen to their conversation. They talked about pure business and transactions. And lands mostly in sugarcane are discussed.

They shook hands after the conversation. There were smiles on their lips, and I knew they had a good idea and agreement.

"That's also a big asset to us, Jerry. Thank you so much." Don Juanito.

"It's a pleasure, Juanito."

I saw three Montenegro's talking not far from Papa.

"Don't you say you're with another girl tonight, Zeke?" Savier asked with a smile. Manuel just shook his head at them.

"What are you talking about, Sav? I'm busy."

"Talk to my ass Zeke. I know you."

Suddenly, Zeke's cell phone rang. He apologized and came out first.

"Hmm, Papa, excuse me, huh? I'm just having a bathroom break."

"All right, hija. I'll wait for you here."

I nodded and left that room.

I looked for Zeke and saw he was talking to someone on his phone not far away.

I hid on the side and took a picture of him. He's handsome.

I almost sniffed his stolen shots and looked at them. I want to scream because I have something to add to my collections.

"What are you doing again?"

I was surprised when Ezekiel was in front of me. Its face was cold looking at me.

I smiled at him. I was determined to my liking. "I have laminated collage pictures of you. I want to give it to you."

"Just quit, little kid. I don't have time for this. Go inside, or you'll get lost."

"True! I still try. I'll give it to you."

He closed his eyes and shook. "All right. Could you give it to me? Just stop. It just studies hard and does things other than this. "

I was silent as it insulted me. My eyes got hot.

"If you won't, I'll just keep it!" I hissed and turned away from him. I marched back inside, and I almost collided with Manuel.

I never looked at them again.

"What did you do to the child?" I heard Manuel ask. I closed the door.
