Chapter 3 I Feel Disgusted
Sharon guessed that Seb must have blocked her on Facebook and probably didn't want to bring up the matter again. Thinking of this, Sharon finally felt a sense of relief.
When Sharon got home, it was already past six in the morning. As soon as Sharon walked in, she saw Alex sitting on the couch. Alex didn't know how long he had been sitting there. Hearing the door open, he quickly turned his head. His eyes were bloodshot, clearly having stayed up all night.
"Honey, where were you last night? I called you over ten times. Why didn't you answer?" Alex got up and walked quickly towards her, reaching out to hold her hand, but Sharon avoided him. He was stunned for a moment.
Sharon's expression was cold. She mocked, "Didn't you also stay out all night?"
Alex noticed that Sharon's mood was off, and that her eyes were also a bit swollen. It was the first time she had spoken to him in such a cold tone.
Alex's eyes flickered, and the hand hanging by his side slowly clenched.
"You found out, didn't you?" His voice was very calm, without any fluctuation or panic, as if he had long expected that Sharon would find out sooner or later, showing no guilt or concern.
Sharon could no longer suppress her emotions. She suddenly raised her bag and threw it at him, her eyes ablaze with anger. The happy moments between them were shattered the moment Sharon saw him having sex with Ava, never to be repaired.
Sharon questioned, "Alex, you make me sick. If you don't love me anymore, you could divorce me. Why did you have to betray me?"
Seeing her red eyes, Alex felt a pang in his heart. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms. "Sharon, I'm sorry."
Sharon pushed him away, her eyes full of disappointment and anger. "Don't touch me! After marrying you, I also met many excellent men, and some men also showed interest in me, but I kept my promise and never betrayed you. And you?"
Alex explained, "Sharon, you're the only one I love. What happened with Ava was just an accident."
Sharon wanted to laugh. This explanation only made her more repulsed. "So, let me get this straight. I can go find some guy, have sex with him, and then tell you it was a 'mistake,' while claiming you're the only one I love, right?"
A cold, fierce look flashed in Alex's eyes, and he said word by word, "If you dare, I'll kill you and that man together in bed."
Facing his cold, emotionless gaze, Sharon only felt a chill in her heart. She thought, 'You couldn't bear it yourself, and you know betrayal is unforgivable, so why did you betray me?'
She took a deep breath and said slowly, "Do you remember what I said to you when you proposed to me?" She said that if he ever betrayed her, she wouldn't forgive him and would leave him.
Alex's face changed. "I won't let you leave!"
Sharon wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, her expression mocking, mixed with a bit of hatred as she looked at him. "Whether you agree or not, I've already decided. I want a divorce. You don't deserve my forgiveness."
Hearing that she wanted a divorce, Alex's last bit of patience was exhausted. He looked at Sharon as if she were some strange person. "Divorce? Since we married, you haven't worked a day. How will you manage post-divorce? Who would hire you? And what about your dad's expensive hospital bills? I'm the president of the Smith Group. It's normal to encounter various temptations outside, and sometimes it's hard to resist. But those women will never affect your status as my wife. What more do you want?"
'Why can't she understand that I still love her, but I'll never have just one woman in my life?' he thought.
Looking at Alex's aggressive demeanor, Sharon couldn't reconcile this man with the shy Alex from college who blushed while confessing to her and promised never to make her sad. Perhaps this was his true nature, selfish, arrogant, and high above.
Sharon didn't want to say anything more and walked past him upstairs. Alex stared at her back, his eyes dark and brooding.
Sharon returned to the bedroom. Smelling the alcohol on her, she went straight to the bathroom to shower. When she looked down and saw the red marks on her chest, images of Seb's slender hands caressing her body flashed in her mind.
She couldn't help but frown and grabbed a towel to scrub vigorously until the area around her chest turned red. It seemed that only by doing this could she erase the traces Seb had left on her body.
After her shower, she walked out of the bathroom and saw Alex sitting on the bed with his head down, lost in thought. Sharon frowned and looked away, pretending not to see him.
At that moment, Alex looked up and saw Sharon walking out wrapped in a towel. Her half-wet hair dripped water down her back, and her freshly washed cheeks resembled a blooming rose, emitting a captivating scent. The towel barely covered her hips, revealing her long legs, sparking wild thoughts.
Alex's breathing instantly became heavy, and his gaze seemed glued to Sharon, unable to look away.
Sharon, with her back to him, was about to grab her pajamas from the wardrobe when Alex's hands suddenly wrapped around her from behind.
"Sharon." His voice was hoarse, filled with undisguised desire.
Just now, after Sharon left downstairs, Alex had been thinking about how to win her back. In the end, the only way he could think of to keep Sharon by his side was to have a baby with her.
He had intended to come upstairs and talk to her gradually, but seeing Sharon just out of the shower, he couldn't control himself.
If it were before, such an Alex would have moved her, but now Sharon only felt disgusted. Seeing Alex's arousal, she felt repulsed and turned to push him away. "Hands off. You make me sick."
Alex looked aggrieved and earnestly held her hand. "Haven't you always wanted a baby? Let's plan for a baby now, okay?"
Sharon forcefully shook him off and said, "That was before. I might have a baby in the future, but it won't be yours."
These words enraged Alex. He grabbed her hand and threw her onto the bed, pressing his whole body on top of her. "Say that again!"
