Chapter 4 I Want a Divorce
Sharon stared at him, completely indifferent to the raging anger in his eyes. "No matter how many times you say it, it's the same. I'm not having a baby with you."
As soon as she finished speaking, Alex kissed her fiercely.
Sharon was stunned for a moment. Alex had just kissed Ava last night, and now he was kissing her. She felt nothing but disgust and anger and immediately began to struggle desperately.
To Alex, her struggle was like fighting an uphill battle. The hand on her waist didn't loosen at all; instead, it tightened even more.
Because of her struggle, the towel around her quickly loosened, and the desire in Alex's eyes surged.
Sharon quickly noticed the change in Alex's body. She had just taken a shower and was wearing nothing under the towel.
She was furious and bit him hard. The strong taste of blood instantly spread in both their mouths.
However, Alex didn't let go of her. Instead, his other hand reached under the bathrobe, his fingers landing near her slender long legs, gently wandering around, shamelessly teasing her sensitive spots.
Sharon's body suddenly stiffened. "Alex, get off me!" she shouted.
Soon, her whole body went numb, and the fluid secreted from her vagina wet Alex's fingers.
"Sharon, you need me too, don't you?" Alex deliberately smeared the fluid on her nipples and lowered his head to suck, his tongue lightly nibbling.
Sharon kept struggling, but it was useless, and she became more and more desperate.
Finally, at the moment Alex pressed his erection against her vaginal opening, the sense of humiliation made Sharon close her eyes in despair.
Sharon said, "Alex, don't make me hate you."
Alex's movements suddenly stopped, and his pupils involuntarily contracted. He had never seen Sharon like this, filled with despair and pain.
At this moment, he was insanely eager to possess her fiercely, as if to prove that she was the only one in his heart. Yet, a voice inside him told him that if he made love to her now, their relationship would be completely broken.
Alex's eyes were full of struggle. After staring at Sharon for a good ten seconds, he suddenly let go of her, got out of bed, and left quickly.
The bedroom door was slammed shut, and Sharon trembled, hugging the blanket.
For the next few days, Alex didn't come back.
Sharon wanted to talk to him about the divorce, but he didn't reply to her messages or calls.
On the weekend, Sharon was in the living room with her laptop, looking for jobs, when Alex suddenly came back.
He looked very haggard.
Sharon closed her laptop, stood up, and looked at him calmly. They both fell silent as their eyes met.
Sharon said, "Since you're back, let's talk about the divorce."
Alex frowned. "I told you that I won't divorce. I came back today to remind you that tonight we have to go to the Smith Manor for dinner."
The Smith family had a monthly family dinner that everyone in the Smith family must attend unless there was a special reason.
In fact, the Smith family looked down on Sharon and often made things difficult for her.
Before, she could comfort herself with Alex's love, thinking it was enough and she didn't need to care about others' attitudes. But now, she couldn't deceive herself anymore.
Sharon refused, "I don't want to go. You go by yourself."
Alex said impatiently, "Sharon, how long are you going to keep this up?"
He had ignored her for the past few days, hoping she would calm down and think things through. He didn't expect her to be as stubborn as before.
Sharon said, "I'm not being unreasonable. I just want a divorce."
Alex asked, "Divorce again? Sharon, you're not a teenager anymore. You're twenty-eight now. Can you act your age?"
Sharon mocked, "If being mature means accepting you with other women, then I'm sorry, I can't meet that standard. You'll have to find someone else. Here's the divorce agreement I had a lawyer draft. Sign it whenever you're ready."
Looking at the document she handed over, Alex took it with a mocking expression and flipped through it. When he saw the section on property division, he couldn't help but sneer, "You think you can take half of my assets? Is that even possible?"
"Why not? Isn't that what I deserve?"
Alex snorted and said leisurely, "Look around this house. What did you pay for? And over the years we've been married, I've been covering your dad's medical expenses. If we're talking about who owes who, you might find yourself in the red. Want me to have the lawyer crunch the numbers?"
Sharon couldn't believe the harsh Alex in front of her. She wondered if she had been blind to fall in love with him.
Before she discovered his affair, he had pretended to be the perfect man, worthy of a Best Actor Award.
Sharon reminded, "Alex, don't forget that if it weren't for me giving you that patent, you wouldn't have secured your position as the president of the Smith Group. And after we got married, you were the one who asked me to stay home. If I had continued my research, I would have earned more than what you've given me over the years!"
Alex was indifferent, his expression calm. "The patent? Do you think anyone would believe you now? I don't want to argue about money, but if you insist on a divorce, I have no choice but to settle accounts. Sharon, as long as you stop mentioning divorce, you can still use my money as you please."
Sharon scolded, "Alex, you're utterly shameless!"
Since he refused to divorce, she would have to file a lawsuit with a lawyer. She shook off his hand, took a deep breath, and turned to go upstairs.
But Alex blocked her way. "Go change your clothes and come to the family dinner with me."
"I said I'm not going. Just tell them I'm not feeling well."
As soon as she finished speaking, Alex grabbed her wrist and said in a deep voice, "Sharon, my patience is running thin. Don't force me to cut off your dad's medical bills!"
Sharon looked at Alex in disbelief.
Alex directly took out his phone and called his secretary, "Hey, about my father-in-law's medical bills for next month..."
Sharon couldn't believe Alex would actually do it. Her eyes turned red with anger, and she snatched his phone and hung up the call. "Alex, you're too much."
"Too much?" Alex looked at her with contempt. He pulled her close and spoke from above, "Sharon, everything you have now is because of me. Don't you think you're the one being unreasonable? Go change your clothes, or I have plenty of ways to make you comply."
