Chapter 6 A Roar of Justice

"I want to ask if I can learn how to make potions," John said seriously.

He actually wanted to learn how to make potions, too. Any Beast Tamer's potion was incredibly expensive.

And these were just low-grade potions, only for contract spirits from level one to three.

If a King-level Beast Tamer needed potions, they would definitely be very expensive.

This could be a good way to make money.

"Are you kidding me?"

The salesperson rolled their eyes and decisively turned away.

Damn it!

John didn't expect to be looked down upon.

It must have been a really stupid question.

John finally wandered around the Beast Taming Department Store, filed a complaint about the salesperson, and quietly left the shop.

Although he couldn't afford the potions, at least he increased Slime's defense a bit.

John said, "Looks like I need to go back and study potion knowledge."

After hundreds of years of development, human pharmaceutical industry had become very mature.

John rode his bike towards home.

Just then, he suddenly heard a woman's cries for help, "Help! Help!"

John looked towards the dark alley.

With the dim streetlight, he could barely make out the situation inside.

Two men were surrounding a woman, holding two sharp knives, clearly in the middle of a robbery.

At the same time, three options appeared in his mind.

[Option 1: Act as if you didn't notice and swiftly make your exit. Reward: A small amount of Beast-Taming power]

[Option 2: Fearlessly confront the evil, bravely defeat the two thugs. Reward: A large amount of Beast-Taming power. Note: Life-threatening]

[Option 3: Stop the thugs' actions. Reward: Skill book: Gigantification!]

John's thoughts raced, and he decisively chose the third option.

John took a deep breath, held the bike with his right hand, pointed to the alley with his left, and shouted.

John shouted, "Stop! You're breaking the law. I won't let you get away with this!"

At that moment, John seemed to transform into a messenger of justice, the streetlight casting a holy glow on him.

But immediately.

He grabbed his bike with his left hand and quickly left.

Only two puzzled thugs were left, staring at his retreating figure.

John's actions left them completely stunned.

Meanwhile, loud singing could be heard from a distance.

"That guy seems to have issues," One thug said, surprised that there were people who actually acted so strangely.

He and his partner were both shocked.

At this moment, the woman in the alley suddenly pushed them away and ran towards the distance, dialing 911.

"Big bro, should we chase her?"

"No, she already called the cops. What a bad day."

John was singing as he returned home.

Clearly, the third option was the most cost-effective.

The first one was easy, but the reward needed to be bigger.

The second one option offered a good reward but was life-threatening, so John immediately dismissed it.

Although the third one seemed difficult, the system only required him to stop them, not successfully prevent them.

As long as he shouted, it counted as stopping them.

Sure enough, as he had guessed, he successfully received the reward.

A golden skill book appeared in his hand, but he couldn't open it, he could only choose whether to use it.

In an instant, the skill book disappeared.

A new skill, gigantification, appeared on the golden slime's skill list.

Gigantification: Temporarily increases body size by two times, slightly reduces speed.

If combined with Slime's charge skill, it should now be able to hit a 22-pound enemy.

But in reality, it wasn't very useful.

John said, "When will Slime become stronger?"

John petted Slime and shook his head. A level one contract spirit's combat power was almost zero.

The following day, a weary John made his way to class.

After a night of online research, he finally had some understanding of potion making.

It was also a profession, and a highly respected one, known as a pharmacist.

However, the first requirement to become a pharmacist was to get a degree in pharmacy from a top university.

No wonder the salesperson looked at him with disdain last night.

John said, "Looks like becoming a pharmacist is out of the question."

Just as John was about to sleep, he saw Harper at the door.

Harper said, "John, come to my office."

In an instant, John felt wide awake and went to the office.

Harper said, "These are your test results from yesterday!"

Harper's usually kind face turned very serious, even more intimidating than Wesley's.

He waved his right hand and threw the test paper on the desk to John.

John was caught off guard and didn't catch the paper.

He glanced down and saw the score on the paper, feeling relieved.

"Mr. Adams, I admit I've been a bit distracted lately and only scored ninety-one. I'll work harder next time." John said with a sincere and determined look.

Harper shouted, "That's sixteen!"

John looked down and picked up the paper, realizing he had read it upside down.

Harper said, "You haven't been studying seriously for the first two years of high school, have you?"

Harper said sternly. This score was beyond his tolerance.

This time, John ranked last, with the second to last scoring over sixty points. The gap was too large.

At this moment, John's expression was stunned, and options once again appeared in his eyes.

[Option 1: Honestly admit your mistake and promise to do better next time. Reward: Double training speed for three days]

[Option 2: Seriously tell Harper, 'I haven't been playing around at school.' Reward: Master the making of Power Potion, unlock basic potion making]

[Option 3: Request a retest to show your stable performance. Reward: A moderate amount of Beast-Taming power]

He didn't expect Harper's question to trigger system options.

The first option was too simple and didn't need consideration. The reward was ordinary.

He had no talent for training, so doubling his training speed was useless.

The rewards for the second and third options were very tempting.

A moderate amount of Beast-Taming power could elevate his Beast-Taming level to the peak of a level one Beast-Tamer, though still at the bottom of the Beast-Tamer Class.

The second option would directly let him master the making of Power Potion.

John made up his mind and said seriously, "I haven't been playing around at school."

Harper looked puzzled but quickly reacted.

Harper said, "Get out and copy the test paper ten times!"

He had never seen such a naughty student. It was simply disrespectful.

John walked out with a light step and a smile on his face.

Although Harper scolded him, he had learned how to make a Power Potion and unlocked the system's potion-making capabilities.

"Great, great." John walked away, grinning like a fool, clearly not a good student.

Just then, a staggering person bumped into the distracted John.
