Chapter 4 Sending Clara to Her Death

Dylan was confused the whole way back to the office. Alexander, who never got involved in other people's business, actually did today?

Could the usually stoic Alexander have fallen in love at first sight with that woman?

Dylan felt like he had stumbled upon a huge secret.

He cautiously promised, "I'll definitely keep today's events a secret."

Alexander shot him a puzzled look and said coldly, "Is your workload too light lately?"

Dylan felt a chill run down his spine and quickly denied, "No."

Keeping secrets was a principle he had learned over the years working for Alexander.

Meanwhile...

Victoria went home, took a shower, and slept for a bit. When she woke up, the room was pitch dark.

She glanced at the time; it was 7:30 PM.

There was an unread message on her phone from around 4 PM, from a number she knew all too well.

She ignored it, had a leisurely meal, cleaned up, and then headed out.

Half an hour later, at the Cleveland Clinic...

Victoria found a secluded spot in the park downstairs and sat down.

Ten minutes later, a frail beauty appeared, looking delicate and pitiful. No wonder Lucas was seduced by Clara.

Victoria's lips curled into a mocking smile, "Have you decided to kneel and apologize to me?"

Clara, wearing a loose hospital gown, still looked pale, her eyes filled with jealousy and hatred.

"What right do you have to make me kneel?" she glared at Victoria with venomous eyes.

Victoria leaned back on the stone bench, looking up at her, at those venomous eyes. Only when no one was around would Clara reveal her true self.

"What? Don't want to marry Lucas anymore?" Victoria said sarcastically.

Clara smiled smugly, "Lucas didn't agree to your condition."

"Seems like your feelings for Lucas aren't that deep. You won't even sacrifice a little for your future together?" Victoria sneered.

"Victoria, shut up. You don't understand the love between Lucas and me!"

Clara's face twisted, her words becoming increasingly harsh, filled with pride and contempt.

"Lucas doesn't love you at all. So what if you met him first? He still fell for me, and you get nothing.

"Victoria, I've told you before, I will take everything from you, and you can't compete with me. The Kennedy family can only belong to me.

"If you know what's good for you, leave the Kennedy family, leave Lucas! Otherwise, I will ruin your reputation and make you a laughingstock in the noble circles of Ridgewood!"

Victoria chuckled disdainfully, "Is that so? Then I'll be waiting."

What Clara couldn't stand most about Victoria was her cold face, always indifferent, as if nothing could affect her.

But thinking about how Victoria had never won against her since childhood, she couldn't help but feel smug. So what if she didn't care? She was still hated and despised, while Clara was the one cherished and adored.

"Why don't you ever learn, my dear sis? You can't beat me. Now everyone knows you're a murderer, forcing your own sister to death for a man."

A cold light flashed in Victoria's eyes as she stared at her icily.

"Is that so?" Victoria asked in a chillingly low voice.

"Then since you're not dead, am I not living up to that crime?"

Clara's face instantly stiffened as she looked at her and asked, "What do you want to do?"

Victoria then unceremoniously extended her leg and kicked her hard.
