"Wake up!!" Trisha exclaimed, sitting on Krystal's bed while dragging Krystal's leg out of the duvet.
Krystal whined as she felt she was dreaming and only just changed her position without waking from her sleep.
"Krystal!!" Trisha screamed again. Trisha climbed on Krystal and playfully slapped Krystal on the cheeks.
Krystal rubbed her her eyes with the back of her hands and yawned as she sat upright and Trisha sat next to her on the bed.
"What are you doing here so early?" Krystal asked, yawning like she still needed more sleep.
"It's 10am in the morning, how is that early? You sleepy head."
"You know I am not a morning person and my day starts from 12pm," Krystal whined.
"I want us to go shopping together, that's what I came to tell you."
Krystal thought for a while, she wasn't one who went out a lot even with her best friend, Trisha. She always wanted to but Collins didn't want her yo hang out with Trisha ever and that had put a strain on their relationship when she got married.
She and Trisha drifted apart with time and it had started with the little things, like not going out to shop with her, not going out on their usual dates together anymore. Not having their girl's night again.
Then it became the important things like missing out on things that mattered. Like when Trisha finished in law school, when she won her first major case, her birthdays and so many more.
"I know you might say no but..." Trisha was about to complete her statement when Krystal interrupted her.
"I will go," she said and Trisha smiled.
"Now, let's get you ready. We could go for brunch before going then," Trisha suggested.
"Let me freshen up," Krystal said, standing from where she was sitting and heading into the shower.
While she was in the shower, Trisha picked one of the many magazines by Krystal's table and was reading one.
"When will you ever go to all this places. You have had lifestyle magazines since we were children and you never stop fantasizing about how much you want to see the world."
"I will, one day," Krystal said from inside the bathroom.
"What's stopping you now? Is it Collins? I don't think he wants to ever leave this city to explore though," Trisha said.
"It's not about Collins," Krystal said and at that time she was right but if Trisha had asked her this question before the reincarnation, she would have had a different answer.
"I just don't think it's the right time yet," she said, stepping out of the bathroom into the room.
"You know there will never be a right time for you to do the things you love." Trisha said.
"I know, I know. You're right. Maybe someday soon."
"So, help me with something to wear. You know I hate searching through my clothes," Krystal said and Trisha stood from where she was sitting.
"You know that's my department," she said and walked towards her closet.
"This red gown," Trisha said, picking the dress from the closet.
"Always looks nice when you wear it," she added.
Krystal collected the dress from her and her mind suddenly had a flashback to when she was married before the reincarnation.
"What do you think?" She had asked Collins after putting on the same red dress Trisha had picked.
It actually always looked nice on her. Brought out her curves and all.
"We are late, we should go," Collins said.
"What about the dress?" She asked.
"Really, no one cares, just wear anything." He added.
Krystal had picked up her purse and had followed behind him. She didn't bother looking in the mirror and had even forgotten to put on a jewelry.
Over the years that they were married, she had gotten used to it. To him never complimenting her looks, never complimenting what she wore.
She had slowly stopped appreciating herself and feeling beautiful. She never looked in the mirror and even when she did, she always felt ugly and undeserving.
He made her feel that way and she never even realized how much he was affecting her.
"You look amazing in that dress,"Trisha said as Krystal stood in front of the mirror.
"Are you sure?" Krystal asked as the self doubt creeped into her mind again.
"Yes, I am sure."
"Now, let's go already," Trisha said and Krystal picked her phone and immediately saw a message from Collins.
"Could we have lunch later today?" He asked.
"I won't be available, going out with Trisha."
"Who is that?" Trisha asked, seeing Krystal focused on her phone texting.
"No one." Krystal answered.
They both headed out and drove to the mall in Krystal's car. Her parents were both away already and so she didn't catch them downstairs before leaving.
They got to the mall about half an hour later.
"What store should we go in first?" Trisha asked, scanning around the mall and the several stores in it.
"I don't know, anyone really. Not particular about anything."
"Been meaning to get this channel bag. I don't even know if I have enough with me," Trisha said and s Krystal was looking through her bag. She found andrew's card.
"You know what, shopping is on me today," Krystal said with a smirk on her face.
"Now, this just got a whole lot better," Trisha said and rushed towards the channel store.
Krystal knew what she was hoping to achieve by spending several thousand on his card and she hoped that her plan worked.
Krystal and Trisha shopper like never before and we're buying everything that looked even a bit nice to them.
Andrew's phone wouldn't stop vibrating on the table. He was in a meeting and didn't know why his phone was vibrating so much.
"Excuse me," he said and picked up his phone which showed several debits from his card. He was confused.
He remembered his card was with Krystal and he had specifically told her it was only for her hospital bills. He was confused as to what she was doing now and he was beginning to fume with anger.
"How dare her," he said, his hands in a fist.
"His everything okay?" His partner asked.
"Can we continue the meeting tomorrow please?" He suggested.
"No problem," his partner said and then he called his driver to meet him up front.
He got into the car and still checked his phone which was still receiving multiple debits.
"Where to sir?" He asked.
"The zebra mall," he said.
"Alright sir."
It took then just a few minutes to get there, he had no idea how he was going to find her and he was already getting even more upset with each debit.
He decided to check were the last debit was from and knew she wouldn't be far away from the store.
He realized the last debit was from the food court and walked towards the place.
When he got there, he scanned around with his eyes, hoping she was still somewhere around and then he saw her with Trisha.
He walked closer to where she was and at first, Krystal hadn't seen him but has he walked closer, she sighted him and then, she smiled as he walked closer.
Her planned had worked.
"What in the hell are all these debits from my card!!"
"You haven't been properly introduced to my best friend, this is Trisha. Trisha, this is Andrew." She said with a smile.
"It was supposed to be meant for just the hospital bills!!"
"I know," Krystal answered.
"Then why all of these?"
"You're rich enough to afford it, why are you making such a fuss about it," she said.
"I want to go get a smoothie, do you need anything?" Trisha asked Krystal.
"No, but get Andrew a smoothie too," she said.
"I don't want anything," he said.
"Please get him one, he looks thirsty," she said and Trisha walked towards were to order.
"You should get a sit to seat down. People are starting to look at you like you're crazy," Krystal said and even though Collins wasn't having it, he sat still.
"Have you considered my offer yet?"
"What offer?"
"My marriage proposal"
"That's crazy!! I am not doing it."
"You know you don't like Collins, why are you pretending and walking away from your only chance to get back at him."
"Krystal,"
Krystal looked in the direction of the voice and saw Collins walk down towards where they were sitting.
She was confused, how did he know where they had been.
"What are you doing here with this guy," he said.
"You said you had other engagements with Trisha, i don't see her anywhere," he added.
"What are you doing here? How did you know where I was?" Krystal asked. She was not answering his questions till he answered hers.
It didn't seem like a coincidence.
"I asked the questions first, you answer."
"Did you track my phone?"
Krystal asked, the realization hitting her and the look on his face confirmed it.
"How dare you!"
