14- sweet moves

Everth's inability to act effectively in this situation plunged him into a deep

reflection on the state of their relationship. Now, more than ever, he felt the urgency

to find a way to reconnect with Jade, to show her that, despite everything, he was

there for her, ready to face the challenges that life presented to them together.

Everth, full of concern and determination, decided to approach Jade. He knew he

had to face the situation, although the uncertainty about how he would be received overwhelmed him.

He found Jade sitting at the window, looking at the horizon in silence. He approached

cautiously, aware of the fragility of the moment.

"Hi, baby," she said in a soft voice, trying to break the silence.

Jade turned to him, her face reflecting a mixture of sadness and surprise at seeing him.

"Hi, Everth. What are you doing here?" she asked, with a mixture of

bewilderment and reserve.

Everth sat next to her, trying to find the right words. The tension between them was palpable.

“I heard about your grandmother. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm here for you if you

need it,” she said sincerely, wanting to show her support.

Jade nodded gratefully, but her gaze revealed an abyss of emotions that she

couldn't hide.

“Thank you, Everth. This has been hard. The truth is... I feel like everything has

been so complicated lately. And now with this...” she paused, unable to find the

right words to express her feelings.

Everth understood the weight of her words. He sighed, searching for a genuine

connection.

“I know. We've been through some tough times. I want you to know that my

intention was to help, I wanted us to be better together. The money...” she hesitated a moment.

“It wasn't just for me, it was for you, for us.”

Jade nodded, an expression of understanding appearing on her face.

“I understand, Everth.” But I feel like something has changed between us... And now,

with the loss of my grandmother, everything seems more complicated.

The conversation was immersed in a mix of sadness, nostalgia and the difficulty of

facing their problems. Both felt the weight of the past and the uncertainty of the future.

“I don’t want all this to drive us further apart. I want to try to fix things, find

a way to get through this together,” Everth said, desperately searching for a

way to reconnect.

Jade looked at Everth, his eyes revealing a longing totally different from hers. Her

thoughts intertwined in a whirlwind of mixed emotions, the sadness for the

loss of her grandmother mixed with the uncertainty about the future of her relationship with

Everth.

“I want that too, Everth. But... I feel like we’ve changed. Things between

us have become complicated and the death of my grandmother has only added more

difficulties, plus all this has my head spinning. I just need

a little more peace of mind, I just want to go start something new… —

Jade said sincerely, trying to find a way to approach the situation.

Everth nodded sadly, understanding the depth of Jade's words. There was a lump in his

throat as he tried to find the right words to express his own anguish.

“I understand sweetheart, and I want to be there for you, to help you find that peace of mind

you need,” he said softly, desperately wanting to ease the weight they both carried on their shoulders.

They stood in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. The

pain of loss still fresh, the complicated dynamics of their relationship adding an

extra layer of complexity to the situation.

Finally, Jade broke the silence. — Everth, I don't want to get away from you, but I feel like I need time to reflect,

to find a clear path in the midst of all this emotional chaos, I just

want to find a path for myself... I know you've been the most attentive and

romantic boy in my life, but I need to know what I want in my life. — Jade said

through tears.

Everth gently squeezed Jade's hand, seeking to convey his silent support.

— I'm here for you, I always will be. If you need space to find that

clarity, I'll understand, just know that no matter what happens you'll be my girl. —Everth

commented calmly.

They both knew that there was no quick fix or easy answer to their dilemmas. The

loss of Jade's grandmother had opened an emotional abyss that they needed to address

together, but also with the necessary care and respect for the individual feelings

that each one experienced. With a knowing gesture, they embraced, finding momentary refuge in

mutual comfort. The road ahead would be challenging, but they were determined to

navigate it together, even if it meant taking a step back to move forward more solidly

in the future.

Everth, still dealing with the situation.

— I need this moment to find clarity, to

descend.

When Jade was certain of the situation, she received an unexpected call.

It was the detectives, requesting her presence at the police station to clarify some details

that could link her to the murders. Despite her confusion, she agreed to collaborate,

conscious of the need to clarify any doubts that might have arisen.

Meanwhile, Jade was on the beach, looking for a respite in the midst of the emotional

whirlwind that had enveloped her in recent days. The sea breeze and the soothing sound

of the waves were a balm for her troubled mind. She closed her eyes, longing to clear her

mind and find a moment of peace.

At the police station, Everth arrived cautiously, facing the detectives who were waiting

for him with serious looks and direct questions.

— Everth, we have identified certain elements that coincide with your presence at the

scene of the crime. We need to clarify some details to rule out any misunderstandings. — Alessandro says seriously.

Everth, shocked by the implied accusations, struggled to explain every detail of

his actions and alibis during the time period in which the murders occurred.

— I was at home that night, working on some projects. I have records and

documents that can corroborate my alibi. — He says uncomfortably.

The detectives continued with the questions, seeking to better understand the situation.

Meanwhile, Jade, oblivious to this new twist in the story, continued on the beach,

immersing herself in the whisper of the sea, trying to free her mind from the constant agitation

that had tormented her stone.
