Chapter 2

Steinitz gazed at his surroundings with those silvery eyes, he was in the room where he was staying which was none other than the house belonging to Sicily who found him when he fell next door.

"This environment is much later than the one in my neighborhood. Humans are still trying to obtain technology that is more advanced than the current one. Most of them are just fake researchers who work just to get a salary from the government, there is nothing good about the results of these humans who can only cheat." Stein muttered with a small smile.

In just a moment he was able to understand what was going on in this human world even though he had just now come here. In his place he often heard that the humans were always failing and rarely did any of their technology succeed, apart from the fact that some humans were evil and had limited abilities, they also liked to steal project funds and cause everything to fall apart.

Stein meeting Sicily was also a coincidence. The girl looked innocent and sincere, she had been in this house for three days but the girl did not ask much about her life. That made Stein feel happy because no one was trying to break into her secret identity.

"I will immediately search for my family who are kept here, hopefully they will not be harmed by the evil people on this earth."

Stein moved slowly towards the front and opened the window of the room. He looked around but there was no sign of the family he was looking for. His brain thought quickly and tried to connect the link that existed in each of them but there was no reception and that let him know that his family was not here.

"Earth's advantages only have a very large world, the rest is nothing interesting. Only people who are rather stupid are its contents," he muttered again with a cynical face. "But I won't hurt the owner of this house, that girl was kind enough to save me regardless of who I am and whether she knows me. If she hadn't helped me then I would have considered her the same. But girls are also very naive, with the news here that it is said that there are so many people who have seen aliens how could she not have heard of their characteristics.

"This girl didn't suspect me even when I had silvery eyeballs, even when I only had minor injuries while the ground around me was curved, that's a strange thing right? Why is that girl acting like she doesn't know anything?" he muttered in astonishment.

However, Steinitz decided to keep quiet and not care. He knew that the girl was strange and it made him a little uncomfortable, because the girl's attitude was not the same as what he thought about people on this earth.

Steinitz was already happy to have finally found a place to live where he would be camouflaged. No one would be suspicious if he was here, because he already knew that people in this world liked to look for something strange and sometimes absurd.

Knock! Knock!

Stein turned her head towards the knocked door before she finally walked over and opened the door to find Sicily there and already smiling at her.

"You haven't eaten all day right? I just finished cooking so how about we eat first?"

Stein was silent for a moment then nodded, she could eat anything so she wouldn't be suspicious of this innocent looking Sicily. Now he needed to save himself first because Sicily might get suspicious if he showed any unnatural signs.

"Are you a meat eater? Can you eat meat or food in our place?"

Stein looked at Sicily's face for a moment and then smiled softly. "I'll eat all the food you want to cook. No need to worry I'm not a difficult eater," he said making Sicily smile in understanding.

"Good, I cooked steak today and also mashed potatoes. I'm sure you'll like it because it's also a delicious meal and easy to make." Sicily said as she pulled out a dining chair and looked at Stein who immediately nodded.

Both of them sat down and stared at the food on the table. Sicily continued to explain for a while and then began to eat the food together.

"What are you doing all this time? Are you still studying or going to school?" Stein suddenly opened his voice making Sicily stare at him.

"Ah, I'm actually a student as well as a teaching assistant in a living creature research laboratory. So it can be said that I've been working while studying to pay for my living expenses since I don't have parents anymore. As for you, what are you doing? Are you working or studying? But if you look at your face you seem to be more than 20 years old, right? Do you work?"

Stein nodded. "Yes, I used to work but since I fell last night I've forgotten a bit. I forgot a bit about how my life was and why I fell. Maybe my head was injured which is why it's like this," he said making Sicily raise an eyebrow.

"Really? You don't remember anything?"

Stein shook his head slowly and then took something out of his pocket. "I only have a card, it contains money. I found it in my pants pocket," Stein said making Sicily stare at the card.

The color looked black like the black cards in this country. Sicily didn't know who this man was, but it was obvious that he was rich, but she didn't really know where he came from because she forgot.

"No problem, until your memory comes back I'm still willing if you still want to stay here as long as you do good. Incidentally, the people here also don't care if someone stays at my place. But since we're a man and a woman who don't know each other very well, I'm still warning you not to overdo anything. Don't let anything happen that makes us even get into trouble, I can't if I have to bear the shame alone because I have also lost both parents and my family." Sicily said at length making Stein raise his eyebrows.

"Where are your parents? Are they gone?"

Sicily who heard it immediately smiled softly, this man's attitude was like a childish boy who was full of curiosity. But maybe it was because there were only two things that made people absent from that place, namely disappearance or death.

"Not disappeared, but died and won't be able to come back here. I live alone, since four years ago."

Stein was silent as he tried to understand with his fast-moving brain. Passing away, that was death, right?
