Chapter 2: Abandoning Wife and Children

Chloe quickly went to Professor Huntington's office.

As soon as she entered, she saw her two little troublemakers sitting on the sofa in the teacher's office, swinging their legs.

Seeing her come in, their eyes lit up, and they immediately slid off the sofa and rushed over, "Mommy, you finally got out! I thought you were planning to live in the lab from now on!"

"Mommy, you've worked hard. Are you tired? Sit down, I'll give you a back rub..." As they spoke, one on each side, they took Chloe to the sofa to sit down.

Looking at the two considerate little ones, Chloe suddenly felt that enduring the blame was worth it!

"You're well-behaved now, but where were you two when you were messing with my computer?" Andrew Huntington, behind his desk, saw this scene and couldn't help but frown.

Daniel confidently replied, "Blame it on you! Always making Mommy work overtime. Look, She's really underfed."

"Yeah, yeah... Mommy is just a mortal, how can she keep working day and night?" Leo chimed in from the side, actively massaging Chloe's shoulders in a practiced manner.

Andrew Huntington laughed, "It's only you two protecting her! Everyone in this institute has been through the same. How's the progress with the research this time?"

Chloe smiled, "Very smoothly. The data will be sent to your computer later."

Pausing for a moment, she asked, "Is the computer restored?"

Andrew Huntington grabbed his hair anxiously, "It's been an hour, and I still couldn't recover it."

Chloe chuckled and patted Leo's fair and tender little hand, "Go, restore Professor Huntington's computer to its original state, no messing around. What if important data is really lost, how are we going to handle it?"

Leo immediately responded in a cooing voice, "No way, I always have backups, and I've added multiple layers of protection. It's impossible to lose anything!"

While saying this, he obediently moved to Andrew Huntington's side and began to restore the computer. The little one's fingers flew over the keyboard, typing a series of code. A few minutes later, the computer screen flickered and immediately returned to its original state.

After seeing it, Andrew Huntington couldn't help but marvel. The two kids were truly exceptional in intelligence!

Daniel, at such a young age, mastered medical skills, could identify thousands of medicinal herbs, and showed unique talent in medicine. He was particularly sensitive in investment matters.

Leo, on the other hand, was very interested in programming. Now he was a little hacker, extremely sensitive to numbers, and also had great talent in investment!

Mommy was finally going back to their home country! They had been wanting to go back for a long time! After all... Daddy was there, and they had wanted to see him for a while now!

Chloe, accompanied by her two precious sons, set foot again in the land she had been away from for six years.

Just after getting off the plane and coming out of the corridor, Leo clutched the hem of Chloe's skirt with his legs crossed, "Mommy, I need to use the bathroom urgently."

Chloe and Daniel couldn't help but laugh when they saw him, "Alright, let's go..."

The little one shivered, "Mommy, don't touch, I'm going to pee my pants!"

He stood not far away, his tall and well-proportioned figure wrapped in a black suit, his long legs appearing restrained and alluring. With an air of nobility, he was extremely conspicuous in the crowd.

From Chloe's perspective, she could see his perfect profile. The contours seemed like a masterpiece carefully carved by God, flawless and so attractive that even the sun and moon would pale in comparison.

Chloe's heart suddenly tightened! She never expected to meet this man on the first day back in the country. The emotions that had been sealed for many years suddenly fluctuated for a moment but quickly returned to silence. Her gaze was faint and cold. For this man, she could finally remain expressionless!

At this moment, the two little troublemakers returning from the bathroom finally appeared. They cutely said to Chloe, "Mommy, we're back!"

Chloe snapped back to reality, her heart almost stopping in shock. In her mind, a thought emerged: Hurry up and leave; she couldn't let Daniel and Leo meet that man.

Their faces were almost identical to his! A glance, and they would be recognized! She didn't want to have any connection with that man anymore!

Chloe was so flustered that she quickly responded, "Are you ready? Let's hurry and leave; we shouldn't keep your godmother waiting too long."

Without waiting for the two little ones to respond, she hastily grabbed their luggage and left.

On the other side, Quintus, in the midst of a phone call, suddenly heard a familiar voice and couldn't help but look over. Out of the corner of his eye, he only managed to catch a glimpse of a figure that seemed familiar.

Chloe? Was it her? Was she back?

Quintus immediately strode over, but that figure had already merged into the crowd and disappeared. His eyes darkened, and the anger on his face became more apparent. That woman, who left so decisively and heartlessly abandoned her child... how could she possibly come back!
