Blaze Davies
The man looked at her strangely after releasing Lillianne's one-sided hug. He then left her just like that.
"Uhm, I-I am sorry. I was too drunk. I thought you were my boyfriend."
Lillianne needed to engage in a longer conversation with him. She followed him as he walked towards the counter. It seemed like he was going to leave this place.
"No problem. At least you are aware now," he replied calmly
Lillianne began to think about how to find out his new identity. She had to know his current name, occupation, nationality, etc. She needed to know everything about him.
“My name is-- Hey, wait for me. I haven't finished talking to you yet!" Lillianne shouted when he walked away from her again. She took out some cash and slammed it onto the counter, before trail after him again. "Excuse me!"
"Stop following me, Miss. I don't have time for you. I have to go," said the man as he reached the bar's entrance.
"I know, but it's late. It's my first time coming here and I am drunk. What if someone tries to harass me again?"
By the way, this man was the one who had saved her from those random dudes earlier. Lillianne hadn't noticed his presence at first because she was too drunk, but now that she was talking to him she was sure. She remembered his voice.
They arrived at the parking lot. The man approached a white sedan among other vehicles. Lillianne guessed that it was a rental car.
'I knew it. He is also just a tourist like me. I need to know where he has been living all this time.'
“Can you, at least, give me a ride?” she saw the chance to keep following him around.
The man didn't bother hiding his annoyance toward her. He looked around to see a taxi that might be passing by, but there was none. On the other hand, he noticed the presence of the thugs earlier. They kept watching the woman from afar.
"Where are you staying at?” he asked.
“Konane Inn. It's not even that far from here." He seemed to think about it. "Come on, I am really scared of them. Can't you see that I am trembling now?" She tried to persuade him again, still in a flirty manner.
The man sighed before finally nodding his head. "Okay then. Get in. I will take you there."
“Thank you, handsome. That’s so kind of you.”
Leander's third reincarnation had the most boring personality ever. How could he be so difficult to approach?
It made Lillianne recall her first meeting with Leander's past reincarnations. Back then, they easily got attached to her. They could immediately feel an unusual sensation that spread throughout their bodies as they lay their eyes on her. Dashiell and Prince Ki Yong even admitted that they felt love at first sight for her.
Why was this one different?
Lillianne tried everything to talk to him, but she was completely ignored. He didn't even budge when Lillianne tried to seduce him.
"We are here."
After a few minutes of silence, he finally talked to her. It was only when they finally reached the Inn she mentioned.
Lillianne grumbled in annoyance. She can't let him go just like that. She hadn't gotten anything about him yet.
"Do I bother you that much?" She finally asked, still in that whiny and flirty voice tone.
"Pardon?"
"You are not interested in me at all, are you? You didn't even say your name when I said mine," she added later.
"Did I have to?"
He looked back at Lillianne with that flat and emotionless gaze. It annoyed her even more.
"Whatever. Thank you for the ride. Do I need to pay for the fare?" Lillianne asked grumpily.
"No. That's fine."
"Okay then. Bye."
Lillianne slammed the car door. She didn't even feel sorry because the man immediately stepped on the gas after that, leaving her without saying goodbye.
"He is the most annoying among them all!"
However, of course, Lillianne couldn't just leave him like that. It took her centuries to see him again. Even though he had deeply hurt her pride, she still had to prioritize her mission.
Lillianne wasted no time in transforming into a werewolf. On all fours, the mythical animal chased the white sedan.
Werewolf Lillianne has thick silver fur. When she was exposed to the moonlight, she looked shinier than ever. It was so enchanting to see.
Even though she did the shapeshifting in the middle of a crowd, the people around her didn't even notice it. As one of the high-rank werewolves, she had a kind of power that made her invisible to them. Even the most advanced surveillance cameras couldn't catch her.
The man stopped at one of the biggest hotels on the island. Unnoticed, Lillianne followed him to his room. She saw him putting his belongings like his wallet, cell phone, and car keys on a table. He then walked to the bathroom while taking off his shirt.
'It's time!'
Lillianne shapeshifted into human form again. She made sure the man wouldn't come out too soon as she heard the sound of water falling from the bathroom.
'Let's do this quickly.'
The first thing she checked was his wallet. Bingo! She immediately found what she was looking for in it, the man's ID card.
“Blaze Davies? Based on this, it seems he lives in the US now?” She immediately jumped to conclusions. “Los Angeles, huh? I think my last visit there was only nine years ago. I circled the whole city at that time, though. How could I have missed him?"
She checked anything else she could find in there.
“So, he is now a businessman from a cosmetics company as the CEO. As expected, he is always best suited to be a leader. That is his nature as our original king," said Lillianne, smiling to herself.
She turned her attention to his cell phone. It was protected by a face lock, but she could easily open it.
'"H-Huh?"
She froze at the first thing she saw on the screen. It showed the third reincarnation of her mate, now named Blaze Davies, posing intimately with another woman.
“Is this what makes him so cold toward me? He even made his picture with her as his wallpaper. Is she that special to him?"
Lillianne didn't look happy about it. She could never hide her jealousy when it came to Leander. She had always been possessive of him, especially after everything she had been through.
“Whatever. He will end up as mine after all. He will be crazy over me only. No female human nor werewolf can match me."
Lillianne was about to examine the device further, but she stopped when hearing the approaching footsteps from the bathroom.
“He is done already? How fast."
Liliianne hastily put the phone back. She didn't have time to transform back into a werewolf, so she ended up hiding behind a cupboard.
Blaze Davies came out only in his boxers from the inside. Lillianne gulped unconsciously when she saw his muscular body.
Centuries had passed. Her original mate had been buried in the ground, but she could remember everything about him, including his body. She even still remembered the sensation when he was on top of her.
'Ah, my body is heating up. I've been bearing this longing for too long. Seeing him this close, makes me have a hard time holding it in.' Lillianne gritted her teeth and closed her eyes tightly. 'No. I have to control myself if I don't want to mess things up,' she warned herself.
She opened her eyes again after feeling better. Still shirtless, Blaze Davies took the bottle of vodka he had bought at the bar. He then drank it on the balcony, facing the ocean.
'Even his back looks sexy.'
Lillianne tried hard to hold herself back again. She wanted nothing but to run her finger to caress his tan skin, give him another back-hug, and kiss him. She almost lost it before the ringing of his cell phone filled the room.
“Yeah, my baby. I've arrived at my hotel. I am having a little drink now before going to bed.”
All those wild fantasies disappeared instantly from Lillianne's head. Jealousy filled her chest again.
“Yeah, my flight is tomorrow at eleven.” He moved towards the bed. “No, you don't need to see me at the airport. Let's meet at home instead, honey."
'Home? Are they living together?'
Lillianne's blood boiled even more. She didn't want to imagine Leander with another woman or what he did with her. Her hands clenched in anger without her realizing it.
'He is mine only.'
"Love you too, my angel."
'He is supposed to love me only.'
He stopped talking on the phone after a few minutes. Lillianne waited until Blaze finally started to lie down on the bed. She quietly watched him until he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
'This is my chance to sneak out, but… I can't just leave him like that. I miss him a lot. He also annoyed me too much since earlier.'
Her next move was unpredictable. The non-human female suddenly took off her dress, followed by her underwear. She then sauntered over to the clueless man.
