Chapter 2
"Don't shout dumb!" he said, holding my lips with his fingers. "My name is Gerry Liano Enriqo. You can call me Gerry."
I had calmed my excitement, for a moment I thought he might be bragging about his identity, how could a mobster roam freely in the middle of New York City without a bodyguard? But the pile of money he had just thrown at me reinforced his confession, which one should I believe?
"It's up to you if you don't believe me," Gerry chirped, as if he knew what I was thinking. "I don't have to convince you, all that matters is that you take me with you for the next three days. And..."
"And what?" I asked impatiently.
"You have to pretend to be my mercenary lover, I have a disgusting internal problem. I'm asking you to be my mercenary lover and unless there are any objections, the estimated time will be adapted to the situation."
I was stunned, how could I be so carelessly contracted by a man I'd only met an hour and thirty-two minutes ago, even this contract and his identity were so ridiculous that even I couldn't quite believe it.
"Oh, wait a minute, honourable Mr Gerry. Do you think I would believe that? Seriously, what have I done all this for? It's enough for maintenance and a ride for three days, after that I'll---"
I swallowed hard, a gun pointed at my forehead before I could finish my sentence.
"You're threatening me, isn't it ridiculous that you didn't point the gun at your pursuers, but at my head instead," I said with what little courage I had left.
"I only have one bullet left, it's not enough for them but it's enough for you," Gerry said with a confident face.
OK, now I admit defeat. Although I don't mind being a fake lover of such a handsome man like Gerry Liano, I just don't know what risks I'm taking by becoming his lover.
"OK, fine, we're reconciled. I agree to this deal. You just make me sick." I said irritably. "Put down your gun right now."
"You should have said that in the first place," Gerryano chuckled. "After three days I will return to where I came from, but that is not the end of our meeting, just the beginning."
"What am I supposed to do while I'm away? Don't talk as if you were a film actor," I said in a desperate tone.
"That'll come later, you'll find out later," Gerry said.
Gerry was now completely undressed, with only a pair of cloth trousers covering his lower body. His chest was completely bare, I could only swallow hard and turn around quickly so he wouldn't find out that something was already erect down there.
Shamefully, if I met a man as handsome as Gerry, my desire would be unbearable. And I think there are only a handful of people who have physical features as pretty as Gerry's.
"Why did you turn around? Don't tell me you're tempted by my body. So... you're not straight?" Gerry asked.
I held back my embarrassment, if I turned around now he would definitely see a face as red as a tomato. I just pretended to get a drink from the kitchen and walked away.
"Don't be silly, I'm still normal. That's why I refused your request earlier. Disgusting," i said with emphasis.
I actually had a jinx that bothered me a lot, and I decided not to use it to my advantage. It is true that it is a jinx, but from another point of view this jinx of mine could bring me luck or harm.
My jinx can make any man subservient to me, I will have no trouble conquering the man I like, even the man who becomes my partner will also benefit for a moment and become a successful person, but the bad luck is that the man who becomes my partner does not have a long life. They always die tragically shortly after becoming my lover.
That was my greatest fear. I once dismissed my perception of this jinx, but I had already made more than three victims of my jinx. I had enough and decided to suppress my desire for a lover.
"Hey, why are you so quiet?" asked Gerry.
"No, I've been thinking. I think you're gay. You're not gay, are you?" I asked.
I had deliberately provoked this question to find out the situation between me and him, at least I could be on my guard and try to keep my jinx from activating on this person.
"My orientation is straight, of course, but I have certain criteria, that's why I'm stuck in this tiresome conflict," Gerry said in a worried tone.
"Conflict? Tell me about your conflict, I might be able to help you," I said.
"Really? I'm sure it's just a crazy idea. But it's OK, I'll tell you," Gerry said. I'm the only grandson of a mafia from a drug cartel called the Bonadio Cartel. And I was set up with a woman from Giovanni's family, I didn't like it and I planned to defect by saying I was gay."
I looked at Gerry unconvinced. "And ruin your reputation as a straight person?"
"What do I care? Women will come to me with the money I have, once my father's inheritance is in my hands, there's no saying no to my every whim," Gerry said as he took a drag on his cigarette.
"What's worse is.... This woman has an older brother, the same age as me. He's pretty hard to beat because of the power he has. He loves his younger sister very much and will do anything to keep the arranged marriage going for his sister's sake.
"Is he handsome?"
Gerry immediately turned to me and gave me an incredulous look. Now I curse my stupidity for not reflexively asking him something stupid, sometimes it's hard to control my submissive instincts as a gay man.
"Ah! I mean... Yeah, it can help my acting later on, you know what I mean, right?" I asked, making a manly gesture.
Gerry nodded. "That could be it. Pretty good looking for a guy my age. You can maximise your acting later."
I smiled wryly, I had an unexpected idea in my head. And this time I didn't hesitate to use my jinx as my ultimate weapon.
"I have an interesting deal for you, Gerry."
Gerry raised an eyebrow with sceptical gaze. "What kind of deal can you offer me?"
I smiled and said. "Give me three months and I can get you to defeat him so that you don't have this tyrant who likes to force you to mate with women you don't like. During that time I will remain in our disguise, but in return you must give me about five million dollars. Are you willing?"
