CHAPTER 1 :ORDINARY COMMODITY

FLORENCE POV

“Florence this is not a joking matter, if you try to act smart and escape from this place… you know me too well!…. I will kill your mother, making you a complete orphan” my wicked uncle spat at me.

I looked into his eyes with my tear stained and scared eyes and there was no form of humanity or compassion there, I was trembling uncontrollably even though I didn’t want to look so scared in front of him and the Alpha who had been staring right into my eye since we arrived.

“But uncle … why will you do this to me… ?…you also have a daughter… you can never sell your daughter like this… I’m your brother’s daughter…” I was still trying to send my message to him, trying to make him see reasons with me.

But his face crumbled into an intense scowl and he raised his hand to hit my face as usual but the handsome and domineering Alpha gestured to one of his guards to stop my uncle which the guard did at once.

“That’s enough! She’s mine now…. You can’t put your hands on her anymore… leave my pack now !!” He growled at my uncle. As much as I enjoyed how he shouted at my uncle, I didn't want to stay, I want to leave too.

“Sir…. Please, your highness… I don't belong to anyone, please just let me follow my uncle back home please… I have a mate!… I will be getting married so….soon” I stuttered even though I had rehearsed what I wanted to say to him over and over again. The fear of Alpha Leonard is the beginning of wisdom, everyone knows that.

The next thing I heard was his snarl, it wasn’t that loud but it was commanding and final. I immediately understood at that point that there’s no escape for me, my uncle had successfully sold me to the scariest and cold blooded Alpha In the whole history of werewolves.

“You know me before now … right? I can do whatever I want and no one will ask me about it… nobody dares to, one advice for your life and good health is to listen to me and never! Florence … listen to this part very well… never ever in your life being up your foolish mate in my presence again… I will take this because you are new in my house!” Alpha Leo yelled at him, his last sentence came out as a murmur.

My heart which was already filled with fear and agony increased it pace, the thought that I might never see my mother or my mate anymore made me feel like fainting, from the corner of my eyes I saw my uncle trying to squeeze the big envelope of money which he has just received from Alpha Leonard into a nylon

At the same time a guard ushered him out of our presence and he was leaving me without blinking an eye. I reached for my phone at once using the opportunity whereby my uncle was saying something to the Alpha king.

“I must call my mate again… maybe he’s sleeping or busy … ohoooo.. let me call my mother first, she will be very worried about me” I was contemplating to my scared wolf, she had been hovering around in my head, trying to do everything to keep me calm and sane.

I hissed under my breath, my mate is still not picking my calls. I have been calling him since my father parked his old and smelly van in front of Alpha Leonard Manson. It was beginning to annoy me, when I needed him the most he’s not always there.

The same way I have been begging him to get married to me since the last three years that we’ve met, I know he loves me so much but why is he delaying our marriage?, knowing fully well that my uncle is terrorising me and my poor mother.

I was deep in thought as I kept calling his number… I know he’s the only one that can save me now even my mother can’t, instead she would be worried and depressed so I changed my mind about calling her.

“You are sturborn right!” It wasn’t a question, Alpha Leonard was in my face again, his eyes glowing with anger and fire, he snatched my phone from me and threw it against the wall, I went down on my knees at once, joining my hands together to beg him again as another fresh set of tears dashed out of my tired eye.

But his eyes Alone were enough to freeze me..”take her to the side of her house!” He said to his beta who instantly sprinted to my side to jerk me out of my kneeling position, all the while Alpha Leonard eyes were on my face, following me and the guard even as he walked me out.

I noticed a beautiful woman ordained in expensive clothes and jewelries , she had been sitting still and observing the whole drama and had said nothing until I got close to the exit door of the hall we were in.

“Dear … you should go in and relax now… we have a full task in front of us tomorrow..” she finally spoke but this time her words were directed to Alpha Leonard.

I stopped in my tracks to turn and look at her, she winked at me, letting me know she did that intentionally, to let me know she’s his mate. Ofcourse i know about the scary and dangerous Alpha of the mountain crest to have a mate but I didn’t expect his wife to support all this. They were also rumors of him not liking his mate.

To support her mate buying someone to give him an heir!, the rumors must be very true then, both the Alpha and mate are devils. The beta nudged me forward, forcing me out of the Alpha and his crazy mate's presence.

If someone had warned me that I would end up in the lion’ den like this… sold like an ordinary commodity to the scariest Alpha king, I would have packed my things and run very far away.

“This is your place… I will send in a maid to take care of your needs and everything you need will be directed by her… your dinner will be sent in soon as well…” the beta was talking to me politely and I almost hugged him in appreciation.

People hardly respect me or show any human feelings toward me, I sniffed in my tears and nodded my head in understanding . He bowed his head and opened my door for me, making sure I entered the house before he left, placing two guards in front of my main door.

My mind drifted back to my gullible and greedy uncle. The look of excitement on his face when he was tucking away the big bag of money he received from selling me, was stuck in my head and I couldn’t shake it off.

I fell into the soft and very big bed, covered my face with one of the numerous pillows, and I whimpered loudly into it. I was in intense pain, my mind and body couldn’t take the pressure anymore, what exactly does uncle George want from me and my family?.

“I will be in charge of this family now… it’s the right thing to do and I won’t run away from my responsibilities… as the only man in this household now… it’s the appropriate thing to do…so you… I’m talking to you Janet! You will become my wife starting today!” His first statement to us after packing into their house with his daughter rang bells in my ears.

Just like that he married my mother forcefully, claiming it’s part of the rules in their family. I hated him at once, comprehending why my late father stayed away from him when he was still alive. Uncle George is very wicked and covetous.

He would beat us up and mock us by calling us unlucky, while spending and squandering my father's hard earned money and properties for himself and Diana; his daughter.

“Ohooo Scot… what would you do this to meeeee!” I groaned into the soft scented pillow” sleep was calling unto me but I knew my problems were far more than sleep, my mate who is the Alpha of my pack didn’t know where I’m right now.

And the most confusing aspect of it is that I don’t know if he would even look for me or miss me at all, Alpha Scot; my mate has been behaving weird for the last two years now, he promised to marry me and get us out of our uncle prison.

But I guess it’s too late now… “well time will tell” my wolf whispered into my ears, I was about to argue with her and assure her that Alpha Scot will come for us but I know deep down that nobody dares take anything away from Alpha Leonard except if he really wants to let go, so what will happen to me now? I really hope my mate is strong enough to get me out of this mess!.

“Hello… madam, I’m the maid assigned to you and my name is Linda… I will need to groom you and get you ready for Alpha Leonard'' the maid voice slipped into my brain.

I jumped down from my best and glared at her, in my head I was asking what she’s grooming me for, when I’m not a chicken getting ready to be killed!.

For goodness sake what’s happening?
