CHAPTER 4: DIRTY LINEN

FLORENCE POV

Just like I suspected and feared, my mate stormed angrily into the mansion estate on my wedding day, prancing all over the place like a wounded lion but he could not even go close to Alpha Leonard let alone having a dialogue with him about setting me free.

I knew it would be difficult to get me out of Alpha Leo lair, the main reason I was calling him all through when my uncle drove me to his house.

“You are going home with me and that’s final… I won’t leave here until I get you out!” Alpha Scot promised me, glaring hard at Alpha Leo from here we were hiding.

I flung my hand away from his and yelled at him instead. We have been trying to meet quietly like this to talk since the wedding started and we just got our chance and I knew I needed to tell him everything on my mind before my husband caught us.

“Al these isn’t necessary now…. You were here all through when he married me … this is his ring on my finger? What did you do to stop it? I stared at him, eyeing him angrily.

“My love .. you know this man too, just agree to escape with me and I will protect you from him, I promise you…

“The same promise you made to me three years ago, but did you keep it? You watched as my uncle tormented me and my mother!… I had you and my uncle kept frustrating us … why? You could have helped us” I yelled back at him, he seemed to have forgotten that he could have avoided this situation.

“Now you want me to run from the great Alpha Leo… even you can’t face him or ask him to let me go and you are pushing it on me… you a coward!” I threw the insult angrily at him, at the same time looking around to check if anyone was coming.

“My love .. he’s more powerful and Influential my guards are outside and we’ve found a way to escape without being found out, just go with me and we will discuss at home” Alpha Scot retorted back to me, Dragging me by my waist to pull me after him.

Twisting my waist out of his firm grip, I moved away from him, I didn't want to put myself or my mother in any form of trouble. Truthfully, I loathe Alpha Leonard  for forcing me into marriage and all his excesses and the way he orders me around.

But he has been good to me, took care of me and protected me from my uncle. Uncle George attended the wedding as well but Alpha Leonard didn’t allow him anywhere close to me, not even my cousin Diana.

“You were with me for three years and saw how Diana. Slapped me around, How she ordered me around and trampled all over me but yet you did nothing..” I reminded my mate again,

The more I spoke about it, the more I began to notice how much my own mate had ignored me in my bad situation and now he wants to take me back from the one place I have ever felt safe?

“Why are you talking like this … Florence there’s no time and my guards are waiting… let’s get out of here? This so-called Alpha Leo called me to threaten me with some of my secrets to stay away from you …” he blurted out, desperation and fear thick in his voice.

The AC was blowing everywhere but Alpha Scot  was beginning to sweat.

He just mentioned something about secrets and he’s being too shady for my liking. For some reason he’s seriously trying to get me out of Alpha Leonard protection, I became confused and didn’t know what to do.

“Scot! Wait, don't rush me and let me think… What would you do if you were in my shoes! This same cruel Alpha that we all curse and spit on is the same person who saved my mother and made sure she’s here today..

“What did you do? You let her suffer… Scot what is wrong with you?, all through my absence you didn’t take care of that woman and you just left her to suffer In the house… you didn’t even fight with my uncle to bring her with you, Alpha Leo had to command his guard to bring her to me today!” I shouted at him, hitting his chest as I did.

I realized I have been the one in love with my mate all these years and now that he saw me with another, his ego couldn’t take it. I saw him laughing with Diana all through the wedding procession.

I opened my mouth to ask him about it but, just like a dream, Diana walked in on us and clapped her hands dramatically together. “So this is where you are hiding Florence .. hiding with another man… don’t you know you are now married!” She barked at me? Raising her voice intentionally, for a passerby to turn to look at us.

“Shut it Diana… she’s still my mate and I called for this discussion” my mate responded on my behalf, his face filled with rage and guilt. He took my hand to make a statement to diana about being on my side and I was surprised.

Before now he had always preached patience, endurance and peace. Whenever I complained about how Diana treats me and my mother, so why is he being intentionally rude to her? I really can’t figure out my mate anymore.

Diana stared at us hard and long then  burst into a loud and mocking laughter, before I knew what was happening uncle George walked in on us with a big grin on his face, at once I felt something was amiss and before I could ask my mate why was going on Diana gave me the hot message.

“You better let go of her hand, Scot and hold mine.. she’s a no go area now, she married the great Alpha Leonard… don’t  be a fool before I spill whatever is between us now!” She threatened my mate and to my shock he reluctantly let go of my hand and grabbed Diana aside to whisper something in her ear.

Diana pushed him away roughly and walked back to Me, this time she seems to be more angry, “listen here fool.. I have been having your man and sleeping with him like I wish for the past two years … I was the one that stopped him From marrying you all these years…” she confessed to me.

Spewing the bad news out like hot soup, my heart was pained but it wasn’t like I expected, probably because I had begun to sense something amiss since my mate's arrival. He reached for my shoulder but I backed away from him.

“I… i… need to get out of here…” I said to them but my voice came out as a squeak,  I tried to convince myself that it didn’t shock me, I was greatly alarmed and terrified , the one man I thought would be true and loyal to me!.

“My daughter tell her about that night… she need to know!… she’s still hoping in love … let her know you have her man in your hands” uncle George added his part of hot oil to the already brewing soup.

He’s definitely angry about my mother leaving him to move into the Manson on Alpha Leonard order so he’s doing everything to annoy me. I stole a glance at my mate's face but he was too ashamed to look at me back, instead he was mouthing something to Diana ..

“Tell me… what is it, you all have done the worst to me, the people I call family and loved ones… shame on you all!…  a stranger .. someone we all know to be cruel, with no affection is now the same person doing your responsibilities… what else do you want to say that will break me more than this..” i gathered my courage to speak my mind for once in my life.

They were all surprised, including my mate, “well… it’s up to you to think whatever… I don’t like you and I will never do…the main reason I stole your precious man from you and made sure he didn’t pick your call when you called for him to save you…:” Diana spewed out to me.

“I sent her there to convince and confuse your so called mate? All the messages you sent were deleted by my smart daughter and now we have you right where we want you to be….” I noticed that he stopped talking and bowed his head excessively into the floor at once, Diana did the same but my mate looked away from whoever was making them bow in respect.

Without saying a word to Diana’s and her crew, Alpha Leo pulled me away from them gently and walked me majestically back to the party venue and crowd, “I present you my wonderful and beautiful second wife” he declared into the hall.

Everyone cheered and clapped for me, he looked straight into my eyes and smiled at me? I could feel the sting behind my eye, he heard everything and is doing this to make me feel happy, to help me win!

I might just open my heart to Alpha Leonard and let him love me… my thought cut short at once once I felt his mouth on mine, he grasped my tongue in an intense and long kiss, all I could hear was the blood rushing in my ears and the loud clap from all the party attendants.

All the pain and betrayal flushed out of my system at that moment? What else do I want?My mother is now with me and I’m doing perfectly fine here. The one man I was fighting with, Alpha Leonard, turned out to be having a secret relationship with my cousin.

“I heard everything that happened between you three, I have thrown them out with a serious warning but don’t think I won’t punish you too… didn’t i warn you not to ever talk to him again…?… you disobeyed me” he blurted at me… into my ears, came out as a whisper and also as a threat.

When he talks like that I could never avoid his punishment, now what type of punishment will he give me, is it the kind where he ties me up and does whatever he pleases with my body because I’m starting to like that type of punishment.

And I anticipate it!. I loaned into his ear, my leg shaky due to the expectation of his cock buried inside my thigh, “I want you” I murmured seductively into his right ear.
