Alone with him

Sadie’s Pov

The next morning, I was in my room when Daisy came in. She knocked on the door, but before I could get up from the bed, she had already opened it because I hadn't locked it. I didn’t see a reason to lock it, so she came straight to me. The first thing she did was sit on my bed and cover her face with her hands.

"What's wrong?" I asked, sliding my legs off the bed and sitting down beside her. Her facial expressions made it clear that she was very unhappy.

"What’s the matter?" I asked again, this time more gently, gently removing her hands from her eyes. My first thought was about her parents, but I hadn’t heard any of their voices during their quarrels. Quarreling in the morning has been their usual route. If I didn't hear their voices, why should Daisy look so sad? Or they have refused to talk to each other… I was still coming up with thoughts of suggestions when Daisy said with a trembling voice.

"My mum has left home."

"Where did she go?" I exclaimed, a wave of concern came upon me immediately. I could feel her pain.

There was silence again, and Daisy lowered her face to the floor. I tried to comfort her by resting her head on my shoulder, whispering, "She’ll come back…"

"I don't think so," Daisy replied, her voice a mere whisper, her eyes filled with tears. Suddenly, she stood up and started to leave the room. She didn’t tell me where she was going, and all I could do was quickly get out of bed, still wearing my nightgown, and follow her. She moved so swiftly that I don’t think she realized I was behind her. By the time I reached the stairs, she had already climbed them and was heading toward her dad's room. I climbed the stairs and stopped outside Justin's door. From inside, I heard Daisy say,

"What have you done to my mom that made her leave the house?"

"I didn't do anything, Daisy," he replied calmly. The way he said it made me believe he was telling the truth. I quickly shook my head, trying to compose myself. My emotions were clouding my judgment, making me unconsciously agree with Justin’s words.

"Why did she leave a letter in her room asking me to ask you what's wrong with the marriage?" Daisy questioned, her voice quivering.

"Where is the letter?" Justin asked, concerned evident in his tone.

"I’m not here to show you the letter. I’m here to ask you what you’ve done to my mom."

"What have I done? Have you ever seen me verbally abusing her?" He paused, waiting for Daisy's response.

"No," Daisy replied, her voice a mixture of defiance and uncertainty.

"Have you ever seen me with another woman?"

"No…"

"Have you ever witnessed any domestic violence from me?"

"No, Dad. But what's going on that both of you are keeping from me?" Daisy asked, her voice cracking.

"I don’t know. We were having some misunderstandings, and that’s all. It’s something we can figure out and understand with time."

"But she's the woman you love. You both love each other, and I witnessed it. Since you left Rangers as the head coach and came home, your relationship with my mum has been falling apart gradually. Does your frequent absence dissolve the love you have for her?"

There was silence, and I could hear someone being comforted. I believed Justin embraced Daisy, trying to ease her pain. I waited for their conversation to continue, and just as I was about to leave the doorway, Daisy said,

"I need to go see my mum."

"Where did she go?" Justin asked, his voice rising slightly in urgency.

"I think she went to her parents' house or maybe her own house. But I’m going to visit her this morning, so I’ll ask Sadie to make breakfast."

"Aren’t you going to eat?" Justin asked, his tone softening.

"No."

"Promise me you won’t leave with your mum and you will come back here?"

"No, I love both of you, and I can’t leave you. You are mine, and besides, my friend is here. I'm with you..."

From their conversation, I sensed that Daisy would soon be leaving her dad's room. I quickly turned and quietly returned to my own room. As I walked in, my mind was blank, consumed by a single wish for Daisy to go and come back home. But as soon as I lay down on my bed and covered myself with the blanket, I felt a longing for someone to be with me under it, and my emotions started to overwhelm me.

I quickly stood up and grabbed my phone, denying the truth to myself—I needed an older man in my life. Every day, I couldn't stop thinking about the man from the hotel. I checked my inbox to see if the dating app had sent a message, but there was nothing new. How can I let go of this feeling?

A strange sense of joy fluttered in my heart at the thought of Daisy’s mum leaving. It seemed to create many opportunities for me. I hoped I wasn’t selfish, but it was how I felt.

"Why am I feeling joyous about what just happened?" I said aloud, hitting the surface of my bed with my right palm. At that moment, Daisy knocked and quickly opened the door. The first thing she did was look at my hands to see if I was holding a phone.

"Who were you talking to? I heard your voice."

When I didn’t answer right away, she came closer and hugged me.

"I know you're still thinking about your breakup with Leo, but don't worry; I'll find a solution. But first, I want to go and meet my mum. I can't reach her on the phone. I'll come back after seeing her, and…"

"Will you come back today?"

"Yes, but I don't think my parents will join the picnic I had planned since my mum left home. Please, can you prepare breakfast for my dad? That's not why I asked you to come here though..."

"Why are we friends? It would be better for me to leave home and spend time with you and others. However, I'm still waiting for a call regarding the job interview I applied for."

"Yeah, you told me. Have they called you?" she asked.

"No. By the way, I checked all the clothes you brought here. None of them will be suitable for the outing we have planned..."

"How?" I asked, confused.

"They're not revealing at all. There are dresses and very short skirts for a romantic picnic to attract cute guys," she demonstrated with her hands. "It will make you look hot and very attractive." Daisy tried to smile at me, but her eyes were still red from crying.

"But you know I'm not comfortable wearing those clothes."

"You're about to make another mistake. I've been thinking about this. Don’t you think it was because Tasha was wearing a tight dress that she was able to attract Leo away from you?"

"Don't go there. Leo is not my type this time, and..." I paused, considering expressing my feelings and telling her about my attraction to older men.

"I’ve been wanting to tell you something," I finally managed, feeling panic rise in my chest. Daisy looked at me, waiting. When she saw that I was struggling to say what was on my mind, she quickly said,

"Don't worry; you'll see all sorts of men on the beach on Saturday. Also, my boyfriend, Jack, is coming on Sunday from his trip. There will be a welcome party for him with his friends. I'll try to introduce you to one of these handsome guys. I better get going now so I can come back on time."

"Okay," I stood up from the bed, and she was ready to leave. I hadn’t even noticed her small bag when she entered my room. Without changing out of my nightgown, I followed her out of the house and stood by the door, watching as she got into her white car. We waved goodbye as she drove away.

As soon as I turned around to close the door, a realization struck me. I was alone with the man I had developed a crush on. I was still waiting for the dating app to send me a date to meet my sweet older man. What should I do? I asked myself as I returned to my room.

Halfway to my room, an exciting thought entered my mind. This could be what I had been dreaming of. I rushed into my room and went straight to the wardrobe, Daisy's words echoing in my heart—that it might have been Tasha's tight dress that allowed her to steal Leo away from me, and that men were influenced by what they saw.

From one side of the wardrobe to the other, I carefully checked each piece of clothing, but I couldn't find anything revealing enough. I wanted something that would catch Justin's attention, something he wouldn’t be able to take his eyes off. Then it hit me: Daisy had plenty of revealing clothes. I left my room and headed to Daisy's room, my heart racing with excitement and fear.

Once I was there, I opened her wardrobe, knowing deep down that Daisy wouldn’t know why I had borrowed her clothes. I picked out a few of her most revealing outfits and went back to my room. Realizing I needed to take a bath first, I hurried to the bathroom, determined to get ready before Justin emerged from his room.

I took about seven minutes to get ready, applying red lipstick that made my lips pop against my pale skin. The skirt I chose was extremely short, revealing my underwear if I bent down. The shirt was tight; I didn’t bother buttoning the first three buttons and skipped wearing a bra altogether. I felt like I was preparing for a night out rather than breakfast.

As I stepped out of my room, intending to go to the kitchen and wait for Justin to see me, a thought crossed my mind.

What am I going to cook? Why don't I go to Justin's room and ask him what he wants to eat? This was an opportunity to show him what I was wearing. Who knows, maybe he'll be attracted to me. I climbed the stairs, enjoying the quietness of the house. It felt like the perfect environment for something romantic. A few seconds later, I stood in front of Justin's room and knocked on the door.

"Hello, Mr. Justin. I..." I started to say.

"Sadie?"

"Yes, I wanted to ask you something."

"Please come inside!" His deep morning voice made my heart skip a beat. I intentionally exposed my breasts a little, making sure the shirt didn't cover them completely. Would he notice my sexy appearance? That was my only thought as I opened the door.
