CHAPTER 2: Her Family Members

"You should tell me about your work experience first,"

She replied with a smile, "I used to be a staff member of JT lines, but you know, JT just got relocated to China and the staff members are requested to back down. Since then, I have been looking for jobs nonstop."

"Okay, that's good."

"What about later tomorrow morning? I'll take you to meet the agent, who will tell you all you need to know; all I was to do is find a young lady for the job. "Are you all right with that?"

"Yes, sir," she replied, nodding.

"And, yes, my name is Collins; what's yours?"

"Cheyenne Gemflord," they both said as they shook hands.

"Please accept my business card. I'll be waiting for you tomorrow, 9 a.m."

"Sure, sir, I'll be there at 9 a.m."

"Sure, I'll be waiting for you."

"Thank you, sir." the man said as he stood to depart, and Cheyenne followed suit.

The man smiled as he exited the eatery.

Cheyenne sighed quietly as she went back to her chair.

**The following day...

Cheyenne looked for the address on the business card. It was a tiny estate. After over thirty minutes of traveling, she finally found the place she was looking for.

She approached the security guy at his post and greeted him.

"Are you Cheyenne Gemflord?"

"Yes, I am,"

"Ok, come on in. My bosses had been expecting you."

She was surprised. Bosses?

She finally entered the house, only to meet the two men seated outside. They were speaking with happy expressions on their faces.

The first one she knew as Mr Collins, and the second as unknown. She sighed quietly before approaching them. What exactly has she gotten herself into?

"Hello sirs," she greeted the both of them.

The two men turned to meet her gaze.

"Oh, here she is, Cheyenne Gemflord," the familiar one said.

"Good day, sirs," she said once again.

"Miss Gemflord, please have a seat."

"Thank you very much, sir,"

She sat down with her bag on her laps.

"Are you interested in this job, Miss Gemflord?" The other man inquired, and she nodded in accord.

"As long as it isn't murder, prostitution, trafficking, or arson, I'm fine," she replied.

"No, it's nothing of the sort," he chuckled.

"Good," she sighed. If it was, she wouldn't waste time before withdrawing.b

"And you'll get paid $50,000 per week for it,"

The sound of $50,000 made her ears jingle. Fifty thousand bucks per week, seriously?

"Sir? Fifty?" She inquired to ensure that her ears were in good working order.

"Yes, fifty thousand dollars weekly," he said once again.

"That would be $200,000 in a month," she whispered to herself. She looked around at the people, surprised.

"Yes," she hastily said, covering her mouth. Did she just say that out loud?

"Here," he said, handing her a document.

"You'll be at his disposal for four months, after which the benefits of getting a job in a good company will be enormous. Companies such as SF, Malibu Services, and others."

His? Who is this his? Why are they speaking about a man now?

"But as far as I am at his service for four months!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise.

She opened the document to the first page.

"So..."

"You're going to work as his girlfriend."

she choked in her own saliva and coughed.

"Here," the man frantically handed her a glass of water. He was frightened she wouldn't accept it.

"Girlfriend?"

"Yes. He needs a girlfriend and is willing to pay for four months."

"Girlfriend for four months?" She widened her eyes in shock.

'What kind of crazy will be doing such a thing? He could go get a girlfriend, and break up with her after four months. Why the hell is he need of hiring a girl to be his girlfriend?' She reflected to herself

"Please don't be concerned; everything will be fine. You just simply pretend to be his girlfriend for four months. There are no strings attached."

"And please read through this file," the man requested.

"And I'll always be here to hear your response,"

"Sure,"

"Oh, my name is Mr Oliver, and the business card Mr Collins gave you has my phone number on it; please call me,"

"Okay. Sir"

"And, please, I will await your response tomorrow," the man added once again.

"Sure," she said, standing up and walking away.

"His girlfriend for four months ?" Her mind was trying to process what Mr Oliver had said to her. How is she going to do it, and she's talking about making a lot of money in four months, yet the work...

She sighed softly as she gazed at the file. After some thought, she eventually opened the file.

"He's the CEO of Alvis Engineering?" Her mouth was wide open after thoroughly reading the page.

Alvis Engineering Co. is one of the largest and most well-known enterprises in Asia and much of America. This corporation is well-known and prosperous. Everyone respects them because of their terrifying status.

She'd be collaborating with him?

"And he is gay," she frowned. It was said here that he had never touched a girl since he was born. Following that, he was speculated to be gay. Well, that wonderful.

And it says here, he has family issues, which is the main reason for him to hire a girlfriend?

"That must be the reason he wants a girlfriend, but not just any girlfriend; he went ahead and hired a girlfriend like an insane person. It must be so difficult for him," she muttered as she closed the file.

She suddenly burst out laughing.

She won't be working for an ordinary person, at the very least. She'd be working for a crazy gay, or should she say a wealthy gay, instead. And he's a wealthy homosexual man.

Her thoughts were interrupted as her phone rang. A scowl returned to her face as she turned to check the caller ID.

Her father was the one who called.
