Chapter 1 First Approach

Amy’s POV

"What? Are you crazy?"

When my friend heard that I just wanted to have a baby without marriage, she jumped from her bar seat.

I quickly pulled her back to the seat, preventing to be the focus of the crowd.

"Amy? Are you really going to do this? Are you sure your mother will support your decision?" Elle looked at me with her widened eyes.

"Yes, I have decided it. As for my mom..." I took a drink and said calmly, " I'm not going to tell her in advance. You know she is a very traditional wife." I shrugged.

"No matter how rotten that man she called husband is, she still could bear his cheating and violence, taking him as her reliance. She was always taught that women can not live on their own without a man. She kept stucking in this stupid marriage until that day I was close to death under his beating."

"Marriage only means poison to me. Why should I repeat her life? I have no interest in a marriage with man, but I still want a child." I smiled wryly and drunk up the wine in my hand.

Elle hugged my shoulders, trying to give me some strength. I felt tears gathering in my eyes but I won't cry.

I'm not here tonight to complain. I came to hunt! To get a perfect sperm for my child.

You could also call it stealing. Because I was not going to let the man know my plan, just in case there will be any troubles later.

"Well, Amy, as long as you made the decision, I will always support you!" Elle hugged me tighter, " And l'll be your child's godmother. Just call me whenever you need me."

I could hear her choking, so I patted her back lightly, telling her no need to worry about me.

“Of course you'll be the godmother. Cheers for our grand plan tonight."

CLINK

Downing another glass of drink, I wiped out the tears around her eyes and turned to the men on the dance floor.

“See, so many men here. Come on, pick a father for your godchild.”

"So, what's your preference?" Elle asked after taking a sip of her wine. .

"Hmm..." I supported my head with my left hand while thinking.

"First, he must be handsome." I winked at Elle, she knew what's my type. "Second, he can't be a a junkie who always play in the bar. I want a healthy baby." I

thought more seriously, "Maybe he could be an elite who came to the bar by chance, wearing a suit and tie, and a little mature…”

Elle laughed hearing what I said. "I guess you're in the wrong place, sis. The person you are looking for should be in an office building, not a bar."

Disagreeing with her words, I snorted. "Maybe the goddess of Luck will favor me."

I frowned as I saw a young boy checking me out while pushing his tongue into his partner.

Disgusting…

"Well one more thing, young boys are out of the list." I added.

“Hmm, let’s see…” Elle murmured to herself. I didn’t pay any heed to her and a few moments later, she poked my arm.

“Amy, I think I found one for you!” She patted my shoulder and my head snapped to the direction so fast.

BOOM!

I never expected I would be that excited to see Elle’s choice. How stupid of me!

Maybe the alcohol is messing with my system.

A man in slacks and a button-down shirt sat on one of the tables which were mostly occupied privately, his look made him completely outnumbered.

And what’s more interesting was, he wasn’t looking at any person at all.

He just indulged in drinking his whiskey.

He didn’t even respond to the waitress who just deliberately brushed her leg to his.

Unbelievable…

I couldn’t make out his features in the dim light of the pub but he looks like a well-built man with a good face cut.

Overall, he is a 10. A rare one that I have been looking for desperately.

“What do you think?” Elle whispered in my ears as my eyes wandered over the man’s silhouette。

He is truly something.

“He is 10.” I told her, my voice sounding amused.

“Good! Then go and ask him for the night out…” Elle pushed me from the bar stool and abruptly I stood on my heels managing a close fall.

“Elle…” I gave her a glare while she handed me a shot.

“This will help.”

I took it and then wiped my mouth with a new determination.

With a nod full of gratitude, I turned and walked to the table where the man was residing quietly.

His face moved, and he met my eyes under the dim light, and in an instant my steps haltered.

Am I making the right decision by approaching him?
