Chapter 11 The Heir's Identity Given to Isabella

In the room, Isabella was talking to Aiden, "I'm back. I'm sorry for making you worry."

Aiden felt sorry for her, "I know all about you and Michael. I know all the terrible things Michael has done. You've been wronged all these years and had to endure it for the greater good. I should be the one apologizing to you."

Isabella shook her head, not wanting to upset Aiden further, so she didn't explain more.

Seeing Isabella remain silent, Aiden felt even more distressed, "Isabella, don't worry. In this family, my word still counts. The marriage agreement was between you and Michael. No one else isĀ either qualified or worthy."

Isabella didn't need to think to know who he referred to.

The commotion in the hall was intense; Aiden must have just heard about it.

Isabella felt a pang in her heart. Besides Daniel, only Aiden truly cared for her.

However, her divorce case with Michael was already settled.

She could only appreciate Aiden's kindness.

Just as she was about to explain, Aiden suddenly said, "Isabella, I plan to hand over the Brown Family's inheritance to you. Anyway, Michael insists on divorcing you. Our family doesn't need someone as unfaithful as him. When you take charge of the Brown Family, divorce means he gets nothing. Let's see if he still dares to divorce you."

Only Aiden knew Isabella's true identity in the entire Brown Family.

Daniel's beloved granddaughter, also a young lady of the Wilson Family, was exceptionally smart and beautiful.

If it weren't for him, Michael might not have married such a good wife as Isabella.

Yet, with Isabella by his side, Michael didn't know how to cherish her, causing her to suffer greatly in the Brown Family.

If they divorced, he would feel the most guilty.

Isabella was stunned.

She almost thought she had misheard.

Aiden wanted to hand over the entire Brown Family's inheritance to her!

Wasn't he worried she might cause chaos in the Brown Group to get back at Michael?

Aiden had so much trust in her that he was willing to give her his hard-earned business as compensation.

In contrast, that bastard Michael froze all her bank cards as soon as he heard she wanted a share of his assets.

They were both from the Brown Family, yet the difference was so stark.

But she knew this was between her and Michael.

Even if they divorced, the money should come from Michael, from his independent company assets, not Aiden's lifelong business.

Michael should be the one to pay.

"Aiden, about the inheritance..." Just as she was about to refuse, the door was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

A cold voice broke the conversation inside the room, "I disagree!"

Michael's tall figure appeared in the room, his eyes briefly glancing at Isabella's small face before walking straight to Aiden.

His words were as cold as ice, "Grandpa. How could the Brown Family's business be handed over to Isabella, especially when she's about to divorce me?"

Turning to Isabella, Michael's every word hurt her dearly, "Isabella, I underestimated you. Since you can't get money from me, you're trying to get it from Grandpa, right?"

No wonder she came back.

He thought she came back for something else, but it turned out money was more important to her than anything else.

Isabella was heartbroken.

The explanation on her lips turned into a cold smile. She now fully understood the feeling of misplaced trust.

She had been his wife for three years, yet in his eyes, she was just an outsider who only cared about money.

Aiden, hearing this, almost fainted from anger.

He swung his tightly gripped cane at Michael.

Michael didn't dodge, taking the hit head-on.

Instead, Aiden almost sprained his back, and Isabella stepped forward to support him.

Michael reached out his hand but withdrew it when he saw Isabella.

Aiden sat in the chair, pointing at Michael and cursing, "You bastard, are you trying to piss me off? Do you forget what you promised when Isabella married you? How could you say such things to her? I'm ashamed of you."

Michael's deep gaze fell on Isabella, full of confusion.

How did she manage to charm Aiden into being willing to give her the family business?

Aiden said, "Why are you staring at Isabella? Let me tell you, if you and Isabella don't have a child soon, I'll have a lawyer draft a contract to hand everything in the Brown Family over to Isabella. You were out all night last night, and today you dare to bring someone else home to upset Isabella. Do you think no one in this family can control you? I want to see who you are to Isabella without the inheritance."

Aiden's scolding, especially in front of Isabella, made Michael's face turn extremely dark.

He stood there quietly, his cold gaze fixed on Isabella, exuding a strong sense of oppression.

Seeing this, Isabella felt much better.

Having someone to back her up gave her confidence.

She could already imagine that if she took over the entire Brown Family, Michael and Stella would have to listen to her.

They would have to report everything to her without a hint of complaint or disrespect.

Just thinking about it made her feel satisfied.

This matter had been mentioned before. Aiden and Daniel, feeling they were getting old, wanted her and Michael to take over the two families' companies and create a brilliant future together.

But they didn't expect that before taking over the companies, the two would reach the point of divorce.

Seeing Isabella lower her head, lost in thought, Aiden made the decision directly. "This matter is settled. Isabella, I'm not joking. Stay at home for the next few days. Once I handle this, I'll announce your inheritance."

Isabella didn't expect Aiden to be serious.

Aiden raised his eyebrows, deliberately lowering his voice, "If you don't agree, I'll tell Michael about our agreement."

Isabella didn't want Michael to know her true identity.

In the past three years, if he had cared a bit more, he would have noticed something.

Now, as they were about to divorce, she didn't want to cause more trouble.

She just wanted to end things properly and live her own life.

But looking at Michael's changing expression and thinking about Bianca's dream of marrying into the Brown Family, Isabella suddenly wanted to laugh. Her beautiful eyes lifted slightly, looking at Michael with a clear provocation, "I'll accept it."
