Chapter 1

Rayna

I looked at the man sitting in front of me. I knew he had ulterior motives and couldn’t help but wonder what I was getting myself into. I had nothing to lose. I already lost my parents, and I was in jail.

“Rayna, you have no choice, you’ve been in here six months now just sign the papers and you’ll walk out of here a free woman”.

“But I won’t be free, you’re asking me to marry someone to get out of jail. I don’t know who this person is. You brought a blank marriage certificate for me to sign”.

“Do you want to spend the rest of your life in Jail”?

I had no choice, I had to sign it if I wanted to get out of here and find out who it was that framed me for almost Killing someone. I picked up the pen and signed my name. he took the paper from me and smiled, suddenly I felt a terrible sensation down my spine.

“I’ll do the needful, tomorrow you’ll be released”, Milton said

“Sure”.

When he left, I went back to my cell because where else was I going to go? I laid on the bed staring up at the top bunk. Six months ago, I returned to Terrendale to speak to my parents. Cathy and Hendrick Wilson of the elite Wilson family.

Rayna Wilson Twenty-five years old the second daughter of the Wilson family of Terrendale but no one knew me, why you may ask because my parents only wanted one child and that was Camry my older sister, she was their golden child, they worshiped the ground she walked on. She could do no wrong and she was perfect, and I was not.

I was fifteen when I realized they didn’t consider me their daughter. Before that I did everything I could to prove my worth. I did excellent in school, extracurricular activities but it never mattered because outdoing Camry was a big no. The day my mother blatantly denied me being her daughter in front of her club friends cemented it for me. So, I stopped, I did what I wanted for me. My one flaw were my eyes they were blue and everyone in the Wilson family had brown eyes. At eighteen, it got bad between me and Camry, our parents sided with her, so I moved away and went to stay with my mother’s father a hundred miles away , I forgot the existed and they did the same.

At ten the next morning true to his words I was released. I was standing outside the prison gates. Great Lee didn’t know I was being released or he would be here or send someone else. A black SUV drove up and parked before me. Milton looked at me through the window. “Let’s go”. I walked over to the car and the driver got out; he tried opening the door for me. I looked at him.

“I have arms, I can do it myself”, he just nodded and got back into the car, and we left, Milton sat beside me quietly. “Who did I marry Milton”?

“Adrian Wolfe” he said

“Who”? I asked unsure if I should know the name. I could see the driver sneaking looks at me and Milton was looking at me with mouth wide open.

“Care to Explain who Adrian Wolfe is “?

“Don’t you know who Adrian Wolfe is, It was his grandfather’s car you hit”.

Oh, so that’s why I was arrested. But wait, If I hit someone’s car with my bike then I should be paying them for damages, why did I end up in jail? I remember going to the Wilson family home to tell my mother that grandfather was sick and needed surgery, I remember them forcing me to eat after that, it was all blank.

“I don’t know who he is “. I said I could see the driver looking at me. The rest of the drive was quiet. When the car pulled up to the gates, I understood that they were powerful people, and I need to have a backbone. When the car pulled up to the entrance, I got out. Milton handed me the papers and just nodded guess I was on my own now. I walked into the house and into the living area. I saw a man and two women sitting there. The younger woman saw me first, she was tall and fair, black hair cut in what was supposed to be a bob. She came over to me and slapped me.

I couldn’t help but smile. I looked her dead in the eyes and slapped her back, she held her face and looked at me. I guess she never received a slap in her life. I walked around to where they were and stood looking at the man and woman. She looked older in her forties and he; I knew his face. He was Adrian Wolfe. Tall, fair, clean shaven, muscular and light green eyes. I dropped the papers Milton gave me onto the table.

“My name is Rayna Wilson; I live in Greendale one hundred and twenty miles away. I do not own a car only a Kawasaki ninja, I do not know how I ended up where they found me, but I do know who the last people I were with was. I will say this once again. I’m not responsible for whatever it is you think I’m responsible for”

“I’ve never heard of your family name, nor do I care about your family issues. The reason I agreed to sign that dotted like is to find the person that set me up. Now I don’t care how wealthy you are. I follow very simple rules in my life. Treat me with respect and I’ll treat you with respect, disrespect me and I’ll return the same disrespect to you. Put your hands on me and I’ll do the same to you and my absolute favorite rule I live by. Try screwing with me and I’ll become a demon and extract my revenge and I won’t stop until I’m satisfied or everything you hold dear is destroyed”.

I turned and looked at him. “How dare you speak you speak to us like that you pathethic…”

“Missy that’s enough, leave” he said looking at the older woman. She nodded and stood up and left dragging the one called missy with her. Adrian stood up and walked toward me rolling up his shirt sleeves. “Why should I believe you”? he asked

Adrian

I was in a meeting when I got the call saying my grandfather had an accident. A car crashed into his. I rushed out of the building with my security detail behind me. I had Robert make sure it didn’t reach the media or the fucking leches and snakes within our family would show themselves and try to take the company apart. He was in a coma. The person that crashed into his car was a woman she was drunk. I had Milton do the honors of sending her to jail on false claims. For six months, I had my men investigate the accident because she kept to the same story that she had no idea what happened. After six months and she refuse to give Milton any details or call anyone. I decided to give her an out. Marry a stranger and get out. She only needed to believe we were married, I didn’t need that headace.

When she showed up here, I expected a weak and meek girl not this. When she slapped missy that made me smirk. So, she was pretending to be tough. I stood before her looking at her. She was short, fair and petite. Her blue eyes were something to behold. Her brown hair piled into a messy bun on her head. She wore oversized t-shirt and sweatpants. “So why should I believe you”? I asked her again waiting for an answer. And to my surprise the question came out calmly not in the manner I usually speak.

“You Have so much money and so many security guards and yet you still couldn’t find out exactly what happened isn’t that enough to tip you off that something about the whole accident is off”? she said calmly, looking at me. I walked back to the couch and sat down.” You will remain here; you’re forbidden from telling anyone where you are or who you’re with. I will continue to investigate and if I find out you lied then you’ll stay locked up her forever and if you really had nothing to do with this then I’ll fix what has been done and you can leave”.

Rayna

“Deal. I need my phone back and I need to go retrieve my bike”.

“Very well. You can leave now. You’re to be in this compound by nine every night”.

Of course I had a curfew . “The next thing you’ll say is I should probably refer to you as Master or is it sir” , I asked, walking past him.

“Tread fucking Carefully. I’m not to be tempted with”. He said looking at me, his face was stone cold and his tone held authority.

“Same goes for you Mr. Wolfe” I said walking out of the house.
