Chapter 5

Aryan drove his car at high speed, the speedometer needle almost touching the maximum limit. He didn't even care about the red lights that were flashing, or the horns of other cars honking from behind. The world outside his car seemed to disappear, replaced by the fog of his own thoughts.

There was only one figure that resided in his mind, haunting every inch of empty space in his head: Reyna, the young girl who had now become the queen of his mind's kingdom, an obsession that had taken over his entire being. He couldn't even get rid of Reyna's image, her face, her smile, all the little details that were engraved in his memory.

Aryan could only surrender to the current that carried him speeding along, along with his thundering heartbeat. The speed of his car was a reflection of his surging lust, an uncontrollable urge that took him further, without him realizing it, towards an unexpected event, a turning point that would change everything. That speed, not only the speed of the car, but also the speed of his fall into the blinding abyss of lust.

"Oh, what a disaster!" Aryan immediately stepped on the car brake suddenly.

Before he had time to get out of the car, Aryan just stared blankly at the front of his car window. His gaze was blank and very flat.

Someone knocked on Aryan's car window from the side of the steering wheel. A middle-aged man was seen knocking. Not yet aware of himself, Aryan was still stiff. However, the middle-aged man knocked harder. Until Aryan was surprised and immediately turned to his side. He saw the middle-aged man making gestures while talking even though it was not very clear because it was a bit soundproof.

But Aryan understood the man's gestures very well. He was told to get out of his car and approach the middle-aged man outside. Although he was suspicious of the man's behavior. It could be an intrigue from a robbery plan. But luckily the CEO always carried a firearm wherever he went. Including now, he hid a gun under the black coat he was wearing now. So whenever there was something urgent that threatened his life he could immediately take up the weapon and fight it. Although suspicious, Aryan rushed to open the car door, and the middle-aged man understood by stepping back a little so that he would not be pushed by Aryan's car door.

A moment later, Aryan got out of his car. The middle-aged man showed the damage to the car that had been accidentally hit by Aryan's car.

"Look, sir, you can see for yourself the damage to my car due to your negligence in driving."

"Um, sorry, I didn't mean to because I was in a hurry on the way." Aryan's excuse.

"Even though you're in a hurry, you should still prioritize safety when driving. You could be very detrimental to others and even your own safety." The middle-aged man was a little annoyed with Aryan and kept rambling.

"I'm also not in good condition and in a hurry more than you, but I can still drive very carefully and relaxedly, not in a hurry." He continued.

Aryan began to feel withdrawn and looked for a solution so that the middle-aged man would stop rambling.

"Okay, I will take responsibility for the damage to your car," Aryan explained.

"Okay, what's the solution?" The man half challenged Aryan's ability.

"I will call my regular mechanic to take your car to his workshop. After that, your car will be serviced immediately and I will cover the service costs."

The middle-aged man seemed a little suspicious of the solution offered by Aryan. He thought that his car would be taken or robbed by his gang. So his eyes began to stare sharply at Aryan's body from the bottom of his shoes to the top of his head, he observed it in great detail. Aryan, who was stared at like that, felt uncomfortable with this man's gaze. He immediately dismissed the gaze by raising his voice again.

"If you don't believe me, this is my business card."

Aryan gave his business card to this middle-aged man. The man accepted it and had time to read it to really trust Aryan. When reading Aryan's business card, the man seemed to not believe that he was dealing with a famous and respected CEO in this country. Every now and then he glanced at Aryan's face. Aryan felt uncomfortable with the man's attitude who seemed to be overly suspicious of him.

"If necessary, take my credit card! You can pay for the service yourself. You can withdraw the contents of this credit card as you wish, especially for the cost of servicing your car." Offering his credit card by thrusting it in front of the man in front of him.

The man was stunned and seemed to not believe that a stranger would dare to give his credit card for free to someone he had just met. He just kept quiet, looking at the credit card that was thrust towards him, and occasionally glanced at Aryan's face.

"Are you not mistaken?" He asked in surprise.

"No, I'm serious, very serious. Take this! I'm in a hurry to find someone who is truly valuable in my life. I can't stay here long to accompany you. Now I'll call the repair shop that will handle the damage to your car.”

The man took the credit card given by Aryan even though with a sense of awkwardness that was clearly visible from his hesitant attitude.

After a while, Aryan called his regular repair shop. He then returned to talking to the middle-aged man.

"I'm sorry, I can't stay here long."

"But your credit card? Don't you need it for other transactions?"

"No, no, just take it. I have other payment methods for my business. You just hold it, you still have to drive, right, while your car is being serviced at the repair shop?"

"Of course, I'm looking for my daughter. She's been missing for weeks. I don't know where she is now. We live alone because her mother died a long time ago since she was born. So I'm very worried about her whereabouts."

Aryan was stunned and seemed to empathize with the man.

"I'm sorry, you can use this credit card to rent a vehicle during the search for your daughter. Even if you report to the police and other efforts, there is still enough money on this credit card for you to use."

Increasingly disbelieving Aryan's words. The man's eyes looked teary.

Aryan patted the man's shoulder and said something.

"Sorry, I have to go soon. Hopefully, the princess can be found safely."

"Yes, hopefully, I also hope that you can find the person you are looking for right now."

Aryan smiled in response and then left. He got back into his car and immediately started the car and honked the horn as a sign of farewell to the man. He was still standing and waving while shouting.

"Be careful on the road, sir! I hope you are safe."

Aryan smiled, and his gaze returned straight, and he began to focus on driving again.

In his distracted mind, he began to remember the sweet moments with the girl named Reyna. He wanted that scene to happen again in his life.
