Chapter 5

"What are you waiting for? I don't have all the day to spend with you," Octavius said, making Rhiannon raise her head and look at him.

"Why are you waiting for me? Just go and do your work. I am going home," she said as she started walking.

"Are you sure? Do you want them to know that you are still alive?" he asked, making her stop then turned around.

"You! How do you know?" she asked as she thought she had hidden everything from everyone.

"What? Do you think that you have a secret?" he asked as he rolled his eyes. "Of course, I know my wife's name and I heard the news. It isn't so hard to put two and two together, is it?"

"Aaaargh, I think that you are so clever. Fine, take me to your house. We will buy a house later since we are married and we have to buy a new house to represent our new life," she said as Octavius looked at her.

He didn't know how to explain what he felt but his heart warmed upon hearing her words. Although he was marrying her just to avoid being nagged by his grandfather, he started to think that marrying her wasn't a bad thing since he saw her real face.

She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He wanted to hide her so that people could not see how beautiful she was.

"Will you pay the rent if you are going to stay in my house till that time?" he asked with a wicked smile on his face.

Rhiannon glanced at him as she wondered whether he was crazy.

"Why should I pay the rent when I will be living in my husband's house?" she asked annoyedly.

She was still sleepy and her body was weak thus she wanted to find a place to sleep as soon as possible but she never expected her husband to be so so…

Looking at her annoying look, Octavius found her cute and wanted to give her everything she wanted but at the same time, he wanted to see that cute look more often. A smile formed on his face making Rhiannon confused and have the urge to beat him up but she was aware that she wasn't his match.

"But is that property mine or ours? As long it is mine, you should pay the rent," he said not backing down.

"I don't know such a thing. As your wife, what's yours belongs to me and what's mine belongs to you."

Her voice didn't have any warmth or coldness, just annoyance and a little bit of tiredness.

"Naah. That rule only works when we get married. What I will get from now on is what's yours and vice versa as for the others," he said with a wicked smile on his face.

"But I can make an exception if you agree to my request," he added.

The anger that was on Rhiannon's face vanished as she looked at him with her big innocent eyes.

Octavius was memontantally speechless as he looked at her deep in the eyes. Although there was innocence in them, he knew that after what happened to her, the innocence would fade and be replaced with hatred and the urge for revenge.

He had the urge to protect her from the world's cruelty but he knew that he was late and she had already witnessed how the world was. He vowed that even if he wasn't able to do so, he would try his best to protect her from any hurt and make her not change fully.

"Hei you. What request?" she asked curiously as angry as he had been absent-minded.

"You know since we are husband and wife and today it's our wedding night. We should do what a husband and wife do on this day," he said but Rhiannon was confused.

Seeing her confused look, Octavius chuckled.

"What I am trying to say is that I want you. You should do your duty as my woman and wife at night," he whispered in her ears making her speechless and blush.

She quickly got out of his embrace and glared at him before turning around as she didn't want him to see how her cheeks had flushed.

Octavius let out a laugh as he saw her actions and how red her face and ears were.

"You disgusting bastard! I won't stay in your house anymore. I have a few apartments and houses. You aren't the only one with houses," she said angrily as she turned walking on the other side making Octavius dumbfounded.

He had forgotten that she was also rich and that despite the fact her sister thought she was dead and had taken some of her properties, it wasn't shocking that she had other properties that her family didn't know of. After all, it was the same for every young generation from wealthy families. They buy some houses in secret to avoid their families, him not being an exception.

When he saw her walking further and without looking back, he sighed as he didn't know how he had gotten to this situation. He just wanted to tease her not make her afraid of him.

He hurriedly followed her and in no time, he caught up with her.

Without even alerting her, he picked her up and carried her in a bridal style as he walked towards the car that had been following them behind.

"You! Put me down!" she shouted angrily as she slapped his chest.

This made the onlookers look at them making Octavius sigh.

"I am sorry. My wife is just angry at me," he said to those who had stopped to watch them.

"It's okay young man. You should be lenient to your wife and pamper her. Women like that and you will see she will stop throwing tantrums," one of the men said making Rhiannon embarrassed and hiding her face in his chest.

Octavius chuckled when he saw that.

"Thank you for your advice," he thanked the man before opening the car's door and walking inside.

"Who do you think you are? Let me out this instance!"
