Chapter 14

Kimberly politely nodded at him, "Mr. Watson, I didn't expect you to have dinner with Maya. She's already inside waiting for you."

Vincent nodded leisurely, his silent eyes reflecting a bit of starlight from the night, a faint smile spreading across his face.

When Maya saw Vincent come in, her eyes lit up. She eagerly stood up to greet him and, after the polite exchange, didn't forget to deliberately mention the wine she brought, hinting at its high value.

But Maya had no idea that these two bottles of wine were nothing to Vincent, as the cheapest wine in his cellar was worth more than these two bottles.

Kimberly could do nothing but feel disgusted at Maya's little schemes.

Throughout the entire dinner, it was mostly Maya who took the initiative to chat with Vincent, while Kimberly remained silent, only speaking when Maya addressed her.

Kimberly couldn't help but feel relieved. She had thought Vincent would give her a hard time tonight, or at least make things difficult for her, but instead, he praised her in front of Maya.

Since there were only four of them at the table, even with Maya's ability to keep the conversation going, the dinner had to end by ten o'clock. It was clear Vincent didn't want to continue drinking.

Maya rolled her eyes and said to Kimberly, "Kimberly, take care of Mr. Watson, don't just sit there."

Kimberly pressed her lips together and nodded.

Then she said, "Maya, I'm going to the restroom and settle the bill."

"Alright, go ahead."

Using the restroom and settling the bill as an excuse, Kimberly actually wanted to get some fresh air. She felt like a vase all night, letting Maya criticize her, which was suffocating.

After paying the bill at the front desk, Kimberly returned to the private room to find Maya and Ray gone.

The large private room only had Vincent sitting at the main seat, his right elbow resting on the table, head down, looking like he had drunk too much.

Maya had been intentionally toasting Vincent all night. Kimberly wanted to stop her, but seeing Vincent not refusing, she didn't intervene.

After all, with Vincent's status and experience, he wouldn't be oblivious to Maya's intentions.

Kimberly calmly asked, "Where are Maya and the others?"

Hearing her, Vincent looked up, his eyes slightly shifting, "Maya said she had something to do and left early. She asked you to take me home. I drank tonight, so I won't be going to the office tomorrow. I let Ray go home early to rest so he can handle things for me in the morning."

Hearing this, Kimberly's lips twitched slightly. What a ruthless capitalist.

This was essentially Maya giving her an order. She pressed her lips together, "So, Mr. Watson, do you want to continue drinking, or should I take you home?"

Vincent chuckled softly, his gaze intriguing, "Kimberly, I'm curious. Your relationship with Maya doesn't seem as simple as it looks. You seem very obedient in front of her, like a little lamb. I remember you weren't like this when interacting with me."

Kimberly's expression stiffened, her fake smile almost slipping.

She would never let Vincent know what happened between her and Maya. Maya had always warned her since childhood that if she spoke too much to others, she wouldn't have a good life.

"Mr. Watson, you're joking. In the eyes of adults, we're all children, so isn't it normal for children to pretend in front of adults?"

Vincent raised an eyebrow, his smile faint, "Makes sense. I won't drink anymore, so please, Miss Sanchez, take me home."

Kimberly was about to leave when Vincent's deep voice came from behind, "You're letting me walk by myself?"

Startled, Kimberly, though unwilling, walked over.

"I don't think you drank that much."

Vincent lowered his eyelids, a smile tugging at his lips, his silent eyes reflecting a bit of starlight, a faint smile spreading across his face.

He stood up, swaying and leaning heavily on her, most of his weight pressing on Kimberly's petite frame.

Kimberly used all her strength to support Vincent, the strong smell of alcohol mixed with his cologne filling her nose. She frowned slightly. Did he drink that much? It didn't show at all.

Was he pretending to be a gentleman even after drinking?

With no other choice, she could only support Vincent out of the private room and towards the elevator.

Vincent seemed completely unconscious, his tall body leaning on her the whole way. Kimberly, still in high heels, was grateful for her good physical condition from Maya's punishments; otherwise, she wouldn't be able to support Vincent's weight.

They took the elevator to the parking lot, found Vincent's Maybach, and Kimberly took the car keys from his pocket, settling him in the passenger seat before heading to the driver's seat.

Vincent, who had his eyes closed, opened them at this moment.

"Did you forget something?"

Kimberly stopped, "What?"

"What did your driving instructor teach you? What should you do before getting in the car?" Vincent's eyes were leisurely, his gaze deep.

After a few seconds of confusion, Kimberly understood. She leaned over to fasten his seatbelt, looking aggrieved, "Is this okay?"

"No, I shouldn't have to remind you of such simple things," Vincent answered honestly.

Vincent's demeanor increasingly resembled that of a drunk, acting somewhat unruly.

Too lazy to argue, Kimberly got into the driver's seat, familiarized herself with the car's controls, and slowly started the car.

At first, Vincent sat quietly, resting with his eyes closed, making it relatively easy for Kimberly. Driving someone home after drinking was simple for her.

It seemed Maya had anticipated this, which was why she didn't let Kimberly drink a drop at dinner.

After a while, Vincent suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze lingering on her.

Feeling his stare, Kimberly swallowed, maintaining her composure, "Mr. Watson, why are you staring at me?"

"Can't I?" Vincent's tone was flat.

"Sure."

"Then just drive."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Vincent's hand started to misbehave. He reached under her skirt, touching her thigh, then slowly moved up, directly caressing her sensitive area through her pants.
