Alpha's Revenge

As my hand touched the doorknob, I felt his anger rolling off of him in waves, but I didn’t turn in time to move out of the way. He spun me around and pinned me to the door. The impact hurt a little but not much. That’s how much weaker he was compared to me. If an actual Alpha had done the same thing, I’d be hurt a bit more, but still not by much. Like I said, I was able to beat everyone, including my father, in combat.

“Listen to me, you little bitch!” he screamed in my face. “You will hand over those companies to me, and you will do it without hesitation, or so help me, I will make your life here a living hell.” I simply smirked and looked up at him.

“You already have. My answer is still no, so do your worst.” His eyes glazed over, and I knew he was mind linking someone, so I took the opportunity to push him off of me. He looks at me shocked, and I can tell that he forgot that the silver cuffs were off of me. There’s a knock on the door and I can smell that it is one of the nasty rogues that he has working here. After the attack and I came out of hiding, he told the pack that there were going to be some new members joining the pack, though that can never happen officially as long as I’m alive. I refused to do the blood oath for them to join so they still smell like rogues.

“Samuel, put the cuffs on her, and then I want you and Dylan to take her to the dungeons. Maybe three days with no freedom will change her mind.”

“Yes, Alpha,” he says, and I start to laugh.

“Samuel, I gave you no instructions, so you don’t have to address me. I mean you have to be talking to me because I am the only Alpha in this room.” I smile sweetly, knowing this is pissing Beta Ramsay off. Well former Beta. Technically, he no longer has a rank or title.

“Take her! We’ll see if you’re still laughing after a few days in the dungeon.”

Chapter 3 (2 Years Later)

“Reigna!” Ramsey bellowed my name. He has been calling me every few minutes, it seems, which is making me take longer to do my work. Ever since that day he sent me to the dungeon, I’ve become more disobedient. What can I say? I’m an Alpha. Subordinates talking to an Alpha with blatant disrespect causes our wolves to become more aggressive. The silver cuffs were becoming more of a hindrance to my work, so he had a collar made for me, but he didn’t just stop there, he made it with electric shocks as well. He’s used those shocks often on me these last two years.

“WHAT IS IT NOW? I'M WORKING.” I yelled back at him. It's the Alpha in me that makes me so defiant. I’m not meant to bow to him and he knows it, yet he constantly tries to get me to do so which is crazy. You can’t make someone do what they were not meant to do. The silver has weakened me though wearing it all day every day, otherwise I would have been able to avoid the slap that came to the back of my head which knocked me to the floor. There’s a cut on my hand since I was holding a knife while washing dishes. It’ll heal, but it will take a bit longer with this damn collar on. That’s sort of a plus, since nobody knows that I have a wolf, and fast healing would definitely be a dead giveaway.

“How dare you talk to me like that? When I call you, come. You do not get to question me or talk back.” He is seething, and a small smirk came on my face before I stood up and faced him.

“Like I said, I am working, so what do you want?” I said through clenched teeth. He slaps my right cheek, and it takes everything in me not to hit him back while holding my wolf back as well. She wants to kill him and so do I. “Calm down Cleo. We can’t kill him yet, remember. Trust me, when it is time, I will gladly give you the honor.” I tell my wolf. “I can’t wait.” She says back with a growl inside my head.

“You still haven’t learned your place, I see.”

“Maybe because my place isn’t beneath you, but above you. Did you forget that I am the daughter of the deceased Alpha and Luna and you were their Beta? That means that I outrank you not the other way around.” I rubbed my cheek and turned back towards my dishes, but I could feel the heat radiating from him. He’s always angry and I don’t care. He is not getting what he wants from me.

“I will break you. From now on, you will cook and clean up by yourself. The omegas need some time off and next week we are hosting a dinner for the Lycan King. He will be visiting all the packs looking for his mate. We need to make a good impression so that we can ally with him. He was an ally to your parents, but that contract is void since they are no longer here.” He says that he isn’t the one that killed them. I also suspect that they killed our gamma as well. He never came back after I saw him disappear with some warriors chasing those rogues.
