When the car window rolled down halfway, it revealed a cold, expressionless face.

Amelia was taken aback for a moment and then regretted knocking on the car window.

This face was unforgettable. Amelia realized it was Alexander, the head of the Brown family, who had been looking for her to be his psychological consultant.

Matthew had shown her a picture of Alexander before, so it was hard not to recognize him.

"Sorry, my assistant will contact you later for compensation." Alexander, with a commanding and aloof expression, calmly apologized. He wasn't overbearing; instead, he had a rare gentlemanly elegance.

Then, as if in a hurry, he left his contact information and had the driver drive away.

Unexpectedly, Alexander was surprisingly easygoing. Amelia found it hard to stay angry. Because of this minor incident today, she decided to reconsider Alexander's request for psychological counseling.

For now, he didn't seem like someone with psychological issues.

1306 Opulence Heights Estates.

Alexander, who had been speeding all the way, had now returned to the Brown Villa.

It was already close to 8 PM, but Sawyer was still sitting properly at the dining table.

"What's going on?" Alexander asked.

The nanny beside him smiled and explained, "Mr. Sawyer Brown came back from outside today and voluntarily wanted to eat. He ate a lot. I've never seen him with such a good appetite."

Then she looked troubled, "It was supposed to be a good thing, but now he refuses to go to bed. No one can persuade him."

Alexander glanced at the clean plate in front of Sawyer.

It was apparent that Sawyer, who usually ate sparingly and sluggishly, really enjoyed dining today.

Alexander had canceled his overtime work today because the nanny had told him that Sawyer was actually willing to eat properly, so he came back to see if it was true.

It turned out to be genuinely true. Alexander took off his suit jacket and bent down to look Sawyer in the eye. "Good eating habits deserve praise, but why won't you go to bed?"

As expected, there was no response.

Alexander straightened up and asked the nanny beside him, "What did he do today?"

The nanny thought for a while, "Nothing different. But today, I did see Mr. Sawyer Brown interacting with a woman."

"A woman?" Thinking of those women who had tried to approach him through Sawyer, Alexander frowned instinctively. "Bring me the surveillance footage."

The property management quickly sent over the footage.

In the footage, Sawyer was cornered as a car stopped, and a woman comforted Sawyer and drove away the other kids, who derided Sawyer.

'It was the woman I just met? And Leo, contrary to his usual nature, did not resist her touch!' Alexander wondered.

Sawyer, who had been motionless at the dining table, finally raised his head slightly when he saw the surveillance footage being played.

Alexander keenly noticed this change. "Is it because of her?"

Sawyer hesitated, then opened his mouth but remained silent.

Alexander rubbed his temples, knowing Sawyer's unusual behavior was all because of that woman.

Thinking of the woman's angry yet charming look today, which was completely different from the gentle and affectionate way she comforted Sawyer in the surveillance footage, Alexander couldn't help but ponder whether this woman was really just coincidentally meeting him and Sawyer.

He tentatively asked Sawyer, "Did she give you something?"

Sawyer hesitated for a moment, then slowly opened his hand; it was an orange-flavored lollipop.

Alexander was a bit surprised. He rarely saw a hint of joy on Sawyer's face.

'Does that woman really make Leo so happy?' Alexander wondered as he unconsciously adjusted his left sleeve, weighing the pros and cons in his mind. 'There's still no news from Prof. Rowen. If this woman can help Leo, maybe letting them interact again isn't a bad idea. But today's incident is too coincidental. I can't risk Leo's condition on a stranger's unknown intentions.'

Collecting his thoughts, Alexander picked up the sulking Leo with one hand and said, "Don't wait anymore. Without her to coax you, you still won't go to bed? She might have just comforted you on a whim, or she might have ulterior motives."

Sawyer's body stiffened, a hint of grievance flashing in his eyes, but he still clutched the lollipop tightly and stopped struggling.

Before going upstairs, Alexander told the assistant downstairs, "Review the surveillance footage to see what those mischievous children did to Swayer, and inquire if their families can still properly discipline them."

"By the way," he coldly glanced at the nanny standing below, "This incident of allowing him to run off alone should never happen again."

At the Johnson Villa, Stella was applying an ice pack to her swollen face, crying and video chatting with James. "James, Amelia went abroad for a few years, and not only has her foolish behavior not improved, but she also has become very unruly."

She adjusted her angle in the camera, trying to look more pitiful. "My parents merely scolded her a bit, and yet she dared to defy them and even almost destroyed the house! She nearly drove my parents to the point of utter exasperation! How could Amelia have changed so drastically?"

Thinking of Amelia's arrogant demeanor tonight, Stella was full of resentment, thinking, 'Why come back if she's no longer foolish? And she dares to reclaim her mother's inheritance? That clearly belongs to me! Neither James nor anything of the Johnson family's wealth can fall into Amelia's hands!'

James looked at the swollen face of Stella in the video, full of anxiety and heartache. "Stella, are you okay? That fool actually dared to hit you? You're just too kind!"

Though his words seemed suffused with tender affection, his thoughts involuntarily drifted to the sight of Amelia at the airport. It was undeniable that Amelia was truly stunning.

But listening to Stella's description of the fierce Amelia, James was a bit puzzled.

No matter how much he disliked Amelia, they had grown up together since childhood. Could Amelia really be that fierce? She was always so timid, never fighting back or defending herself. Could it be that she was no longer foolish? Thinking about it, he couldn't help but ask.

Stella panicked, realizing she might have inadvertently piqued James's curiosity about Amelia.

She bit her lip, looking aggrieved. "Actually, it's also my parents' fault. Your dad has always wanted to meet Mr. Jones, right? My dad asked Amelia to let her daughter be adopted by Mr. Jones, but unexpectedly, Amelia erupted in outrage."

"James," Stella looked at James with red eyes. "I was just trying to help you. You wouldn't blame me for not persuading my Dad, would you?"

Actually, James was thrilled beyond measure. He had been striving to curry favor with the Jones family for quite some time, and if this worked out, his career would certainly soar to a new level!

"How could I blame you? You were just helping her get rid of a burden!" he said.

'As for why Amelia suddenly becomes so violent and arrogant?' James sneered inwardly, 'A foolish person will only blindly protect her daughter. But being a fool makes her easier to deceive.'
